The best restaurants in Cork city council

07/02/2026: I came today for my birthday. I've had a really tough year, especially the days leading up to today, and the manager refused to give me the discount because it wasn't showing up on their computer. She told me to email Starbucks. I left crying. I used to go to that location regularly, and just because of this bad experience, I won't be going back.

04/01/2026: I visited this Starbucks on Opera Lane today hoping to order a Toffee Nut Latte, but it wasn’t available and the alternative options I asked for were also unavailable. I eventually ordered a regular latte. While waiting, I overheard some of the staff talking loudly about customers just ordering lattes now that other drinks weren’t available, which felt uncomfortable and a bit unprofessional. Unfortunately, the latte itself was extremely bitter and unpleasant — it was basically impossible to drink. It tasted as if the filter or machine hadn’t been properly changed or cleaned, which was very disappointing considering I paid €5 for it.

25/10/2025: Coffee was nice to be fair ,but the staff are horrid ! I bought 2 capuchinos and one latte from the cafe Marius .As I was drinking my coffee me and my mother pulled out a muffin we had from earlier (to match to me coffee I just bought ) I got screamed at by the staff that it’s not allowed to bring personal food even tho I bought 3 coffees from them just 2 mins earlier.Disgusting attitude

23/09/2025: Dinos douglas has gone to the bin! Ever since the Irish girl Sarah left the chipper, the food quality has been horrendous. The asian lady working at the store makes the worst food, it’s definitely not fresh and you could just tell that the fish, chicken and dips are stale. The quality that dinos has in other stores like Grange and Turners cross is nowhere near compared to the likes of the Douglas store. The food used to be nice but ever since the asian lady has been making the food, it has been unhygienic, dirty and will definitely give someone food poisoning. Douglas dinos is really really awful now and should be avoided at all costs.

12/12/2025: Disappointing experience! I found a hair in my burger, the carbonara pasta was extremely oily, and I waited 30 minutes for a dessert - a simple ice cream with some fruit and whipped cream on top. The waitresses didn't feel like working...

06/08/2025: Had such a lovely day out recently with my mom for some lunch, really nice vibe, friendly staff and good food and coffee ☕️ dealt with a lovely girl at the till Courtney, very helpful when I had questions about the menu as I’m a picky eater 😅

28/06/2025: really weird vibe in there, felt unsafe. everything was overpriced, too and the sound quality was bad.

01/10/2025: All the staff were very friendly except for the manager, who was bland and rude. I went to ask her a question, and she treated me in the worst possible way. She wouldn't let me speak, and when she got tired, she passed the problem to one of her employees and left in the middle of the conversation. The music from the bar can be heard in the rooms at night, even making the floor rumble.

19/09/2025: Great pint at €5.50 on one of the most expensive streets in Cork City Center. With prices in the City reaching €6.50+ There is also happy hour and menu deals. It also has a hostel and bar with screens, also outdoor seating. In a great location for transport. If a visitor or a local a great place to check and enjoy.

10/02/2026: Food is tops and the quality is very good and tasty.

30/09/2025: Nice very clean chip shop in Cork. Staff here were friendly. These were probably the best chips I've had in a few years. The chicken fillet burger was good too, nice and crispy. The only thing that wasn't that good were the mushy peas. They were a bit watery and didn't taste of much, so I probably wouldn't have those again. I definitely recommend this place for a good feed if you're in the northside of the city.

28/12/2025: The pizza at Luciano's hasn't changed in 30 years, that is some achievement!. The prosciutto is by far my favorite and each bite is a little bit of heaven. Now keep in mind your cholesterol is not going to be the better of it but hell, it'll be worth the heart attack!

24/01/2026: We get this quite regularly and it never disappoints. We got murgh makhani, chilli massala, jalfrezi and a byriani and each one was as nice as the other. The barn rice and poppadoms were lovely too. And the service at the counter was very friendly. HIGHLY recommend

14/01/2026: Just got Apache there usually usually get it most weeks absolute disgrace Pakistanis working in there called Food the kebab was absolutely disgusting. It was cold and Meet would remind her out of it. Something out of the freezer. It was disgusting but one order from them ever again and I was a good customer Get rid of the Pakistanis and put in the proper Irish staff. They can understand you as well on the phone.

03/01/2026: We ordered food at 9.35 and did not arrive until 11.15 an hour and 45 minutes later. We understand it was new years but there was no level of communication from the store and I am guessing the phone was taken off the hook because it would not ring for over 45 minutes as we wanted to cancel our order. When the food arrived the pizza was hot but could have been cooked a lot more as it was wet on top, the taco fries were honestly stone cold, they must have been sitting there a long time and the camberet bites were fine. If the order wasn’t leaving the store when I rang I would have cancelled and asked to be refunded. I am so disappointed with the food quality and the amount of time it took as we have used apache a lot over the past year especially for events such as my daughters christening and my sisters day 2 of her wedding. The only positive about the whole experience was the delivery driver, he was so apologetic and friendly. I submitted feedback online but still have not received any contact. Such a pity as it used to be a great takeaway and there are some lovely people working there.

24/10/2025: Good food. Lovely girls. Vat reducted in budget. Result upped price of fish supper by 1.20 euro?

23/10/2025: Food was appalling covered in GREASE the onion rings were soggy not even cooked ,brest in a bun was on eatable so much sauce burger was AGAIN SOGGY over so much Sauce!!! Cheese and onion pies SOGGY and GREASY could have been cooked longer my mouth after 3 bites had to spit it out mouth was sour from the salt and grease....wont be going back FIRST and last TIME il ever eat out of there

03/03/2026: Owner, PLEASE Raise the Standard of your chips. There are very Few good chips in each portion. Many are burnt to a crisp, narrow and small. Then they are wrapped in big sheets of paper? Please take this as positive feedback Owner as it's unfair to us paying customers.

13/02/2026: First off, the fries reek of bad oil. The fried chicken is tasteless and way too gamy for a fried chicken. Moreover, the value to money is the worst. I spent 23 euros there, and threw most of it in the bin. I have been awfully disappointed by the halal food in Cork.. 🥲

15/03/2026: Food court area has 20 teenagers hanging around on Sunday evening. Place is noisy. Why are they here? It's unsuitable for indoor dining.

15/02/2026: 15mins waiting for food nothing said to us, taco chips left sitting there while waiting for burger which were cold by then not sure what took so long!

03/01/2026: It's OK it's very spicy and spice bag was very dry and it's a rip off not worth the money but good people spice bag is sometimes nice🥰
