15/04/2025: Probably the best takeout food I’ve had in Cork. It tasted healthy and was just 10/10. Beats the competition I’ve had by miles.

11/02/2025: Got take away here a few times for collection, always quick and the quality of the food is always nice. You have the usual take away staple items but also there are healthy options as well, incl . vegan and vegetarian items

27/06/2025: I'm a regular here and have always been a fan of their doner. Got the doner last week and it was a greasy mess. Thought it was a one time thing. Had doner again last night and its just awful. doesnt even taste like meat anymore. Don't know what happened here lads.

14/04/2025: Pedí comida de apache en ballyvolane Nunca antes había experimentado un servicio al cliente como este no solo no recibí mi comida, sino que la persona que entregaba la comida era ignorante no me mostró respeto trató de culparme por mi timbre no funcionaba me dijo que me llamó timbre 4 / 5 veces, pero obviamente no lo hizo No recomendaría este lugar a nadie servicio impactante

09/07/2025: Hace 6 semanas informé al personal sobre 2 goujans en lugar de pechuga de pollo en la hamburguesa, pequeñas porciones frías de papas fritas, etc., comí nuevamente allí y todo bien, luego el viernes pasado 4/7/25, gasté 25 más por una caja de bocadillos de 2 piezas, papas fritas con curry, aros de cebolla, pechuga en pan, el precio está bien con la inflación, comprensible, no hay bebida ya que no se pueden comprar latas, la caja de bocadillos tenía 23 papas fritas, similar con una pequeña papa al curry, todo frío ya que esperé 15 minutos por el pollo para la caja de bocadillos y la comida preparada se dejó en una bolsa, no en el calentador, personal poco capacitado, no hay personal irlandés con el que hablar o comunicarse con el personal de servicio, muy decepcionado ya que he estado yendo allí desde que abrieron por primera vez, John Dorney

17/07/2025: This is the best chinese take away in Cork. Another hidden jewel in the city. You get 1 liter of coke for free when you spend over €50 euros and you get the shrimp crackers too! I always order take away here specially if Im tired already. As their tagline says Your Dinner… We Cook!!! They have affordable menus that you can choose from. All are made to order so it’s a guarantee that the food is hot and fresh! It would usually take them 10-15 minutes to prepare your order but it’s definitely worth the wait as it’s freshly prepared and cooked! Surely worth a visit when you are craving for chinese food. It’s my go to place when I think of Chinese food. Definitely worth a visit!

14/07/2025: Order through just eat at 10:15 was supposed ti be delivered at 11:15 half an hour goes by and in app it says delivered no way to contact them just eat help couldn’t contact them thank god I chose to pay cash or wouldn’t see the money again

06/08/2025: Absolutely love this cafe! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a perfect balance of cozy seating and bright natural light. My cappuccino was smooth, rich, and beautifully presented by Martyna and the banana bread is always fresh and delicious. The baristas here always greet you with a warm smile and you can tell they care about every customer that walks in. It’s rare to find a place with coffee this good and the best staff behind it all!

06/08/2025: Listen, I came here for a quick coffee and a snack. I did not expect to have a spiritual awakening via latte art and a grilled cheese that brought tears to my eyes. First off, the coffee art here isn’t just a pretty leaf—oh no. I got a full-blown swan with wings so detailed it looked like it had career ambitions. My friend got a cat stretching in a sunbeam. I don’t know what kind of wizardry they’re pulling behind that espresso machine, but I half expected the barista to pull out a paintbrush and start taking commissions. And the toasties? Good heavens. I ordered the Ham & Cheese and what arrived was basically a crispy, golden love letter to dairy. Crunchy on the outside, molten cheesy poetry on the inside. I bit into it and forgot all my problems, including but not limited to my student loans, and the existential dread of Mondays.

13/07/2025: Staff is chill not their fault but i paid without checking and iced americano was 5,95… I went back to ask if it was an error and told me it’s the owner that decided the price? 5,95€ FOR ICED AMERICANO is your ice that expensive?

02/07/2025: One of my favourite places to get my ice chillers, full of flavour. You're not waiting ages for your drink. I've only ever waited a few minutes max. They've never messed up my drink order. I've never eaten the food, so I can't comment on that. Very clean quite place. Choice of indoor or outdoor seating (outside for smokers/vapers.) Ashtrays provide. Toilet available. Staff are really nice and cheerful. I highly recommend this place. I only wish it opened at 8 am so I could grab my ice chillers on the way to work. 🙏

20/03/2025: by far my favorite take away,out of four take aways in an area where old people go to die,like salmon,there's usually Mammy's and Granny's that force feed,yet all do well,each has its own niche,but Papas is run by the sweetest people,the food is amazing,I went in to drop off sweets last night,it's nice to be nice,the Chef asked me why I hadn't ordered my food for a while,it's been a few months,I'm renovating my house,I wouldn't eat at my place at the moment...he knew what I ordered,so getting the fantastic Italian Inferno pizza later,I'll sit on the wall,I couldn't recommend more.

06/06/2025: Collection time in the app said 9-14 minutes for the order to be ready, it took 20 minutes. I had to wait still for it to be made when I got there.

07/04/2025: I have been a fan of Domino's and have frequently ordered from them since moving to our new home. However, my recent experience on Sunday, April 7th, was extremely disappointing. We placed an order for pizza at 8 PM, and after 45 minutes, the tracker indicated that our pizza was delivered. When I called the restaurant, I was surprised to learn that the driver returned the pizza because it "looked like no one was home." It was concerning that he never came to the door to knock or ring the doorbell, especially since the living room light was on. To make matters worse, the restaurant informed us that the driver’s attempt to contact us failed because of an incorrect phone number entered during the order. I confirmed my correct phone number and asked them to ensure that the driver knocked on the door for the re-delivery. After another 45 minutes without any update, I called again only to be told that the system had mistakenly reverted to a previous address. I found it strange that the driver went to the wrong location after just having been to my house earlier, which had "seemed like no one was at home." Neither he nor the restaurant contacted me to explain. By this point, it was nearly two hours after our original order, and when offered a third attempt for delivery, I politely declined and requested a refund instead. I was then informed it would take 4 to 5 business days to process. Overall, we are out €50 and without our meal, and the lack of communication and follow-up left a bad impression on us. It’s unfortunate because we genuinely enjoyed the food prior to this experience. Based on this incident, I doubt we will be returning. I hope management addresses these issues to improve service and communication in the future.

29/04/2025: Just had a delivery from Pizza Daddy. We had the fried chicken kebab, chicken tikka kebab, taco fries and a burger. Extremely happy with the food and quality. Fast delivery through Just Eat, and a loyalty card system with Pizza Daddy through just eat! Love loyalty systems! We will definitely buy again, not just because of the loyalty program, but the brilliant food. Thanks Pizza Daddy.

04/06/2025: Good pub for a few pints, this pubs they are the real pubs good laugh no kids and all friendly because everyone going there is to have a good time only good time isn’t it and a great laughing too the life is short and we don’t know if we still alive tomorrow so enjoy the present that’s the most important, congratulations for your pub and I wish you many years ahead with the some great energy and good vibes in the pub all the best.

13/07/2025: We had a family group of 16 celebrating an 80th birthday here. The setting was lovely, and the service was solid, our single waiter handled the large group with care, was friendly, and got all the orders right, which we really appreciated. Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite live up to expectations. We all ordered from the main menu, and while the dishes varied, the general consensus was that the food was average at best. A particular letdown was the “seared lemon sole fillet” which turned out to be just deep-fried fish in batter, more like pub grub than the refined dish the menu description suggested. To her credit, the manager acknowledged our concerns and made adjustments to the bill, which we appreciated. Still, for a venue like this - a 4 start hotel, the kitchen needs to up their game. Nice atmosphere, good service , but the food fell short of the mark.

23/06/2025: Stayed in hotel and foot injury meant I had to stay in to dine one night. Both courses had elements described on the menu missing with no explanation. Veg overcooked. Bland food. Wish I had paid for a taxi into town instead. Staff were good.

20/07/2025: Ordered on just eat as a delivery Had to pay €1 extra because of incorrect display delivery fee Extremely salty to the point it’s not edibles ( would be nice if I did not have to pay the €1 extra and if they ease up on the salt )

19/04/2025: Absolutely loved this place, possible the best satay sauce I’ve had. I’m a big lad and couldn’t finish the portion they gave It’s like they put 3 chickens in there. I don’t live near Blackpool but I will likely consider making this my main Chinese. Very happy
