19/06/2024: Had such an amazing night celebrating my aunt's 70th birthday here. The manager Zara and all her staff were so accommodating on the night, to any request we had as it was a large party. The service, food and drinks were all 5 star. There was a fantastic musician playing on the night that that really added to the atmosphere and overall experience of the evening. My family thoroughly enjoyed the night and would recommend this venue, food and service provided to anyone.

10/01/2024: Update: 10th January 2024.
CLOSED - Google shows it’s open but blinds are down and sign says it shut for January.
Bonus: we walked around and found Furey’s diner, not somewhere we’d been before.
Whenever we visit Donegal we always use to pop in here for a cuppa and something to eat.
Arrived today to find it closed, sign in window states they closed due to refurbishment at the beginning of January and will reopen again in February.
Based on my past visit I’m giving it 5 stars and hopefully it will reopen soon.

09/10/2024: The produ9ce is great, the service is not. I entered the shop, and there were just two people being served. One was ordering a cake, and the other had a large order. As I stood there, the shop filled up. I stood next to the till, and when the assistant finished, she walked away. And served others. When I pointed out that I was next, she shrugged it off, and the other assistant served me in a short time. When I raised the issue, I was ignored, which was bad manners. I suggested that they should ask who is next in the future. Use of 'please' and 'thank you' would not go amiss. Another store that doesn't teach their staff basic manners.

10/02/2024: Johnny and George were great! The food was AMAZING. Wouldn't recommend staying in the Castle, but definitely the restaurant! The only negative comment was that my Husband wished there was 4 slices of the duck, rather than just two. I would come here again for my next birthday if I could.
01/02/2024: The food was just okay considering the fine dining designation. (The hotel breakfast served here is good.)
But the decor was very ordinary, again in light of the designation. It is a large room that resembles a corporate executive cafeteria, no warmth or charm to it at all.

09/08/2024: We went as a family of 12..From 2 y old ( they have high chairs) to 65 y old. The setting overlooking the double links course with floor to ceiling windows was stunning. The service was first class. We ordered 6 different meals and every plate was emptied! VERY reasonably priced it it suitable for locals/golfers and passing tourists! I had worse Michelin star meals in London basements! Drop of at the front door.. lift.. and stunning balcony for a smoke! Please support it!
