The best restaurants in Donegal

12/08/2025: Balcony with a great view, once you get used to the roof in front of you 😉 For an extra star, balcony furniture or at least a small table there, and maybe a hairdryer, would have been necessary. Some breakfast ingredients are available on site, and you can make coffee and tea not only in your room—also a plus. The restaurant is open Saturday and Sunday, the food is really good, and the student waitresses do their best.

03/08/2025: Had a meal there this afternoon. Waited nearly an hour for our meal then main course arrived but no vegetables. Had to ask for them when we had eaten nearly half of our meal. Service was extremely poor and I know it is a Bank Holiday weekend but they should be prepared when they know they are going to be busy.

12/08/2025: Pathetic indian food. Indians and Pakistani/Asians don't fall into the trap of Indian food. I ordered masala chicken(thinking that it's spicy) and pulao rice. I brought it home and tasted it with spoon so that I don't contaminate it. It was sweet like sugar and a lot of coconuts were in. Rice were not pilao but were white boiled rice. I called restaurant immediately and told them that I wanted something spicy and they should replace it with something spicy and there should be pilao instead of boiled rice They refused to cooperate and instead of accepting they argued. Then I ordered again the SPICY CHILLI CHICKEN. Went there again as I was so hungry and there was no other choice. Paid again. Guess what? It was sweet again.

07/10/2025: went in with my family and poor sinead was absoloutely thundercunted right in the gob the second she stepped foot in that place, absoloutley terrible lol. cheers for the hospital bill thanks!

02/07/2025: We came here by chance. It’s absolutely lovely and delicious food. They made us a veg curry with rice, th kids chicken wings and burger was delicious, the soup of the day was tomato with red pepper it had a beautiful kick and was filling, the buttermilk chicken burger was crispy and seasoned to perfection. Love the people love the food love the service and price was soo soo good. Must visit.

05/01/2025: Food is lovely we always call in here when going thru donegal, have to say theres is one lad that works here that is brilliant he'll being your food to to you when it's ready and always very friendly.

20/07/2025: Such a fun experience. Be sure to book in advance. They offer gluten free pizzas and try the honey ice cream!

20/06/2025: Best craic in all of Ireland. Stopped here between buses when returning from Malin Head and met tons of kind locals in here. Been to pubs all over Ireland and this one was the friendliest.

14/07/2025: As a tourist, I called in for a late night drink! ( Wife and I) Ordered our drinks, bar lady said it was only cash payments!! Asked if she would except Stirling (GBP) Answered yes!! Received my order and gave her an English £20 note!!! Was then told she couldn't except it because it had the " Queen's head on it" Thought I was hearing things so I asked again and was told that the bar couldn't except any notes with the Queen's head on them!!! You can draw your own conclusions as to why??? Sad I know!! Thought we had moved on!! Apparently not in this bar!!!

22/06/2025: Ce pub est triste, il n’y avait pas de vie … le manager n’est pas plus aimable que cela… et peu de choix de bière . Bref un pub dans lequel on n’a pas envie de rester. Dommage !

22/09/2025: Ordered pizza which was amazing,very tasty and very little grease. Chips were class also. Needs a little work on the atmosphere, was no music or radio but apart from that we enjoyed it.
