The best restaurants in Dublin

05/04/2026: Excellent atmosphere. The waitress was very friendly. The fish and chips were very good. A quiet place for a pint and lunch or dinner.

23/07/2026: Cavistons is a guarantee for seafood, but this time the service exceeded expectations. The fritto misto and the monkfish with gambas and mussels served with a bisque sauce were fabulous, but Jonathon’s attention and care were a wonderful surprise. Such a warm welcome, combined with excellent quality ingredients, will definitely bring us back soon!

07/07/2026: There are a lot of people being served, not very personable. Entertainment was amazing, food was great. The Irish Coffee was not good at all, tasted like there was absolutely no alcohol in it. Which was disappointing.

01/07/2026: 3 of us went for lunch & we checked the website to make sure there were sandwiches etc available but when we arrived there were only full dinners. The food on offer was good but perhaps the website could be updated to reflect the fact that only full dinners are available as we would have gone elsewhere I we'd known this before we went.

08/07/2026: To be honest this is the best restaurant I’ve ever been to. This is what an amazing restaurant should feel like. Everything was perfect- the food, waiters and waitresses the music the whole feel of the place.

08/07/2026: Absolutely blown away but the menu and service at VJ. This may very well fit in my top 5 restaurants in the world, and I don’t put that lightly. Every single dish was unique and delicious and it was exciting to see what was coming next. I cannot wait to come again the next time we’re in Ireland.

25/07/2026: The Pad Thai from Camile Thai in Dublin 8 was truly marvelous! The flavorful ingredients and the way it was cooked were excellent, especially that sauce. I wouldn't hesitate at all to give the restaurant a five-star rating for delivering such a wonderful dish.

23/07/2026: Absolutely loved the Thai Spice Bag from Camile! The chicken was perfectly crispy, the chips stayed crunchy, and the seasoning had just the right balance of spice and flavour. The fresh peppers and onions added a nice touch, making it feel fresher than a typical spice bag. The portion size was generous, everything arrived hot, and it was great value for money. Easily one of the best spice bags I’ve had—I’ll definitely be ordering it again! I’ll be trying thier Crispy chilli chicken next

14/07/2026: This place is great for having pizzas! The only issue is that they’re out of capacity many times. I had to go back several times because they weren’t taking orders due to the high demand.

17/05/2026: A good pub with traditional decor. The food and beer are average; good, but average. Like others, the added value is, as always, the atmosphere and music. Like many others in the area, it's packed with tourists, but the engaging atmosphere draws everyone in. The Irish Revolutionaries' proclamation of independence on the outside wall is a particularly interesting display.

12/07/2026: Perfect Dublin restaurant experience—top-tier beer and whiskey selection, with creative Irish dishes cooked with local ingredients. I got the special veggie haggis, which was delicious and one of several vegan-friendly dishes on the menu. The rustbucket rye IPA was another standout. Cozy booths and live music as well!

11/07/2026: We were attracted by the positive reviews but were unfortunately disappointed. The atmosphere is nice, I would suggest to go for a pint and snacks and listen to the musicians close to the entrance. I would not go again for the food. We ordered chicken schnitzel and fish and chips. They were both quite salty, but while the schitzel was still palatable, the chips were covered is salt and unedible. My friend tried to still eat but could not get half way through, she felt sick by the amount of salt. I asked for the bill and flagged the problem to the waitress, which apologised but we did not feel like we were taken seriously. In fact, we were made to pay in full even though one of the dishes was barely touched. A fair treatment would have been to reduce the price of the dish that was not eaten, if not to forfait it.

21/07/2026: Good food options. Everyone was happy. Service is attentive and kind. Prices are reasonable. We had curry, katsu, ramen, sushi and rolls. We also had sake and Asahi. Happy with it!

14/06/2026: Wonderful evening with live music! The bar staff are so friendly and the Guinness is so good! I was desperate to hear live trad music (not in Temple Bar) and finally found this place the day before our departure back to the states. Nice mix of locals and tourists here, and not packed in like sardines. (Also the place where The Dubliners got their start, can't get much better than that!) Definitely come here for an authentic evening with like-minded folk.

17/05/2026: Went in for a pint. The selection was good, the place was very busy on a Friday night but we were served quickly and even asked if we wanted another.

14/07/2026: Food is excellent, the depth of flavour in every dish is amazing. Very professional and efficient service. Staff are all really friendly and helpful. Visited many times over the years and the quality of the food and the delicious flavours are consistent along with the excellent service. Well done Pickle. Will be back.

21/07/2026: A fantastic, super cozy establishment. The food is delicious and prepared with care. The plates are beautifully presented. The staff is organized and efficient. Truly high-level hospitality staff. Inside, you can eat and drink at various types of tables, and it is also pleasant to spend time at the bar. This is highly recommended in a beautiful neighborhood.
