27/07/2026: We held our wedding lunch at The Old Spot in July 2026, having visited several times in the months leading up to the day. It quickly became one of our favourite restaurants in Dublin, so choosing it for such an important occasion felt like an easy decision. From the very beginning, the service was exceptional. Alisa, Hazel and Denise in the reservations team were incredibly helpful throughout the planning process. They happily accommodated all of our requests, from creating a bespoke menu and ensuring there were excellent vegan options to guiding us through the wine selection. We were also able to drop off all of our decorations the day before, and Alisa made sure everything was beautifully set up and ready for our arrival. On the day itself, Aiden was simply outstanding. Professional, warm and effortlessly organised, he made everything run seamlessly. What really stood out was that the entire team felt like part of the celebration rather than just serving it. Every member of staff was genuinely invested in making sure we and our guests had an unforgettable day, and their enthusiasm and attention to detail did not go unnoticed. We had 40 guests across four tables, and the upstairs private room was the perfect size, with plenty of space to comfortably accommodate larger groups. The natural light from the ceiling windows made the room bright and welcoming throughout the afternoon, the air conditioning kept everyone comfortable despite a warm July day, and the linen tablecloths were well worth adding for an extra touch of class. One of the biggest talking points among our guests was the food. Being able to order from the full menu without asking our guests to pre order in advance made the whole experience feel much more relaxed and personal. With five main course options and excellent vegetarian and vegan choices, everyone found something they loved. The wine list is extensive and very reasonably priced. If you’re looking for a venue for a wedding lunch, birthday celebration, corporate event or any special occasion, I genuinely couldn’t recommend The Old Spot highly enough. The food is outstanding, the venue is fantastic, but it’s the people who truly make it special. To everyone at The Old Spot, thank you for helping to make one of the most important days of our lives so memorable. We’ll be back many more times in the years ahead.

12/07/2026: Charming historic pub with a great atmosphere and surprisingly still reasonable prices for a pub in the heart of Dublin. A great spot to stop for a quick pint while you're in the city centre.

12/07/2026: Great asian food! interesting options too such as aubergine popcorn coated in spicy sauce. Interiors are all brand new however the lighting inside at night is a bit too bright and corporate seeming for nighttime dinner and drinks

15/07/2026: We were looking for a place to dine and this place looked appealing. So on spec we went and tried it out, and we were so glad we did. The food, the lighting, the atmosphere, the service are all top notch. Good honest food, and everything is delivered with precision. The pizza tomato topping was delicious and a second visit is definitely in the cards. The chocolate brownie was also treat. Thanks to everyone. Would definitely recommend. Update 15-July-2026 : my second visit- pizza is even better than I recalled. Simply Delicious.

09/07/2026: After a week spent in Edinburgh and my first few days here in Dublin, I was craving a nice coffee that even remotely reminded me of Italian coffee. And that's exactly what I was looking for: their espresso was excellent. The cheesecake and chocolate muffins were equally delicious. Highly recommended!

30/07/2026: Mile High Club is by far the best NY style deli sandwich in Dublin. Generous portion, great value and super friendly staff!

28/07/2026: I ate at the Pig and Heifer for lunch on a Tuesday and thoroughly enjoyed it. The wait staff was very friendly and fast and the sandwich was super delicious. I ordered the provincial Reuben which has pastrami, goat cheese and honey for a very unique taste. There is limited seating inside but I was able to dine in.

15/07/2026: We went for our anniversary dinner. Marzena served us; she was incredibly kind and attentive. The food was fabulous. We will definitely be back.💕🙏🏻

15/07/2026: Went for Sunday lunch. The starters of burrata and croquettes were fine but nothing amazing. We went for pork and beef for the roast. The meat is very tasty and cooked very well but found the gravy a bit lacking. The veg of peas and carrots is very boring and was not seasoned properly and the stuffing was very poor. The staff were really friendly and service was very good but we wouldn’t be rushing back.

14/07/2026: Back for the first time since having kids and the staff could not have been nicer and helpful with the kids! Food is top class, service too. We felt so well looked after! Thanks a million. Looking forward to coming back soon!
