23/10/2024: Restaurant specializing in tapas to share, but also offering individual classic dishes. I loved everything, from the warm but not chaotic atmosphere, the very kind and competent staff and the exquisite food, not a single course disappointed me (and I tried many). Honorable mention for the anchovies in pepper sauce. Medium-high prices but up to what is offered.

The staff was friendly.

15/11/2024: Warm welcome. Soulful honest food. I dined on my own and Declan kindly put me in the best seat in the house next to the kitchen action. Starting with a scallop and finishing with a Redbreast 12 whiskey, it was one of the best restaurant meals I've had in years.
13/11/2024: Outstanding dining experience. An exciting and extensive menu featuring local ingredients prepared with amazing flair. The staff are attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. Every item on the menu is delicious and the biggest challenge is to narrow down the selection.
Pro-tip: avoid breakfast and lunch and come with a big appetite so that you can try as many items from the menu as you’ll definitely want to.

21/10/2024: I celebrated my 40th birthday in the private dining room upstairs. It was absolutely perfect for an intimate party, with wonderful service, great food and beautiful wines. The cocktails were delicious too. I would highly recommend Ely for a special occasion.

Wine was ok - nothing special which was disappointing since this place specialises on wine
The food tho… that did not taste good, unfortunately. We ordered a cheese plate and 2 small plates which were terrible to the point where I got stomach aches
Overall the amazing stuff made it a nice experience but I won’t be coming back due to the points listed above which don’t match the price

10/11/2024: Great ice cream shop! They have a variety of unique flavours, all which we tried were delicious. Service was really friendly, letting us try any ice cream we wanted before buying. Only downside is that this ice cream shop is way too expensive, they should Lower the prices!

07/11/2024: Chapter One is fabulous. One quickly realizes how it merited two stars from Michelin. From reception, to cocktails, thru dinner, everything was impeccable, including the service. Delicious foie gras creations, great lobster dish, and fabulous pigeon. By all means, you must finish with their famous Irish Coffee, prepared tableside. Awesome! This was right up there in our loosely formulated “Top Ten” Dinners ever, in the company of Auberge d’Ill, The Inn At Little Washington, Les Crayeres, etc. Some fine company. Nuf Ced! Highly recommend!
03/11/2024: One of the best meals we have ever had. Great atmosphere, lovely staff, not rushed. A real foodie experience, fabulous flavours. Yes it’s expensive but it was definitely worth it. Highly recommend the tasting menu.

11/11/2024: We had meal and it was to die for but what made our visit was our server Shauna she was the nearest to perfection in a server I've come across.
Give that girl a rise in wages 👏.A great place, great food, great service.

09/11/2024: The lamb stew and guineas stew were both excellent! The lamb was cooked tender and was tasty and delicious with the fresh veggies and potatoes served with brown bread. The Guiness stew was also tasty with puff pastry and cooked to perfection. The chips were very good and the Guiness poured well! We will definitely be back!!

27/09/2024: Wauw! Wat was dit een heerlijk ontbijt en gezond ontbijt. Leuk tentje om te zitten. Druk, maar dat is een goed teken :). Vriendelijk personeel en vlotte bediening. Gerechten mooi opgediend en echt zo lekker, hadden we dit thuis maar.
22/09/2024: We went here on a food tour and came back and went to its other location. Really good products cooked in delicious ways. Love the shakshuka, and the bread that came with it. Really good salad lunch at the other location (and probably here too).

31/03/2024: Must visit in Dun Laoghaire as food options were really nice, quantity & taste is perfect, they can customise the spiciness. It’s located upstairs & host is very welcoming.

03/11/2024: 2 main courses and a nice bottle of wine for less than 60 euros. Very quiet at the time we were there so not much atmosphere but service was good food was lovely. Would recommend.
