The best restaurants in Dublin

28/12/2025: Convenient local cafe that is very busy at the weekends. Food was nice but the coffee was very small for the price charged. The atmosphere was lively, but very loud.

09/03/2026: We had a great experience at this seafood restaurant. The food was fresh, delicious, and perfectly cooked. The atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The service was quick and professional. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves good seafood, and we will definitely come back again.

16/12/2025: The stew was delicious. I wasn't asked how it tasted during the meal, nor how the beer the bartender recommended tasted. It also has the feel of a cozy pub if you're with people you know, but if you're alone, you won't get any conversation. Not even if you're sitting at the bar; the staff don't seem particularly welcoming to tourists. Perhaps the bartender wasn't in the mood today; during quieter moments, he leaned against the bar rather than chatting.

28/11/2025: Booked the sitting room bar in Foleys Bar for my sisters hen party. The staff were fantastic to deal with from start to finish, so friendly, helpful and professional, especially Jazmine who dealt with our booking from the start and then Shane on the night. Thank you so much for everything!

24/03/2026: Check your order before you leave the shop, as sometimes I didn't get what I had ordered. Eg: I've ordered chicken as a topping on a pizza and got spicy beef.

02/03/2026: Did not disappoint. Fixed my burger craving. Meat was cooked to request and was juicy with the thick cut bacon . Nice vibe of the place too

24/02/2026: Every time we have been to Bunsen in Ranelagh it never disappoints. The service is always outstanding, with their staff being so friendly and nice. The burgers are absolutely delicious, no matter how you want them served. Fries are really tasty as well, my preference is shoestring and the portion is always generous. I always recommend trying their milkshakes as they are very rich in flavour specially the chocolate one. We will definitely be back, as it is one of the best branches.

17/03/2026: So unwelcoming, forced us out the room. All we wanted was a drink and a bite to eat and got rude service. Overpriced as well.

24/03/2026: Charged a €50 cancellation fee despite calling in advance to cancel. Embarrassing for a five star hotel. Not surprised the restaurant is empty and so easy to get a booking

23/03/2026: I was ill on the day (Mother’s Day) I was due to bring my mother for brunch at Balfe’s and unfortunately had to cancel. I emailed and rang to explain my situation, both my call and email were received and it was confirmed this wouldn’t be an issue to the person I spoke to. However, the next day I was charged a €50 cancellation fee which is absolute extortion and completely inconsiderate of people and their personal circumstances which I do not expect of a hotel/restaurant of this caliber. I would understand if I was a no show, however it was confirmed to me by phone and email that the cancellation would be no issue and there was absolutely no mention of a fee. My follow up emails have been ignored. I’m truly disappointed in the level of service and exploitation shown here.

20/09/2025: Wonderful bakery right next door to our Airbnb, went there often. Excellent meat pies and pastries.Fresh bread and they'll make you fresh sandwiches. Enjoyed everything that we tried here over our two weeks. Favorites were steak pie and cottage pie. Fair prices.

28/10/2025: We came across this café after eating dinner in a nearby restaurant and this café gives off a very calming and cozy vibe. The staff were friendly and helpful. I ordered a hot chocolate and it’s my first time having it like in the photo. It was heavenly and I cannot wait to try the other options next time I come back!

05/04/2026: The service was very rough, and they pressured me to pay even though there was still food on the table. My plate was almost completely full when it was cleared away. Unfortunately, the food was rather bland.

05/04/2026: Impeccable service, with a very attentive and professional team. The menu offers great variety, and every dish I tried was absolutely delicious. The Chicken Florentine is outstanding — highly recommend! I come all the way from the south side to the north side just to dine here. At the moment, this is without a doubt the best Italian restaurant in the city, in my opinion. It’s absolutely worth the trip!

28/03/2026: I recently visited with my wife, daughter, granddaughter and daughter in law. It was a busy Saint Patrick's day and the place was buzzing with great atmosphere. My daughter had previously been here an loved the carbonara, so 2 of the girls had that and 3 of us opted for the pizza. The quality of the food was amazing, and the staff were extremely helpful. We all enjoyed our food and we will definitely be back soon.

23/03/2026: Nicest Italian meal I’ve had in a long time, couldn’t fault it from start to finish, starters, main and desserts so good I had to take home what I couldn’t finish when it came to the dessert ( forest fruit cheesecake) was too nice to leave behind. Staff were lovely, very attentive and friendly without being intrusive, good value for money all round! We’ll defo be back soon !!
