16/07/2026: Visited mid week in July as a family of four. We booked our table that morning but I would definitely recommend getting your booking in early as this place is really popular. The staff are exceptional and the food is delicious.

Trieste Café & Wine Bar
Galway
29/06/2026: I cannot recommend Trieste enough! The food is always top quality and the wine is amazing. Barry and the team provide incredible service, especially with his knowledge of wine pairings with cheese. Always a 10/10 experience.
29/06/2026: What a lovely little place, great ambiance, fabulous food and such a warm and friendly welcome from our host Barry.
We ordered the classic Trieste sharing board for 2 with a side of veggie sticks and hummus followed by the sweet Trieste board. The meats and cheeses were all wonderful and were perfectly complemented by the selection of little extras.
If we return to Galway, we’ll definitely be back, thank you 😊

Ard Bia at Nimmos
Galway
20/07/2026: My most visited and my most favorite cafe in Ireland, especially for brunch or breakfast. Their French toast and smoked tuna dishes are my absolute faves. Highly recommended. Please note - you might be standing in a queue as they don't take reservations for breakfast
20/07/2026: Ard Bia at Nimmo’s was one of the highlights of our time in Galway and a place I’d happily return to. Set beside the water in a charming historic building, it has a relaxed atmosphere that makes it an ideal choice for a leisurely lunch.
I ordered the mackerel, which was outstanding. It was incredibly fresh, beautifully balanced and packed with flavour. The quality of the ingredients really stood out, and the dish showcased exactly why Ireland has such an excellent reputation for seafood. It was one of the best lunches we enjoyed during our trip.
The setting adds enormously to the experience. Whether you’re seated inside the character-filled dining room or looking out towards the water, the restaurant has a warm, welcoming feel that encourages you to slow down and enjoy your meal. It’s the sort of place that feels popular with both locals and visitors, which is always a good sign.
The staff were another standout. Everyone we encountered was genuinely friendly, welcoming and attentive without being overbearing. Service was efficient while still feeling personal, creating a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience from beginning to end.
If you’re visiting Galway, Ard Bia at Nimmo’s is well worth making time for. Between the excellent food, beautiful setting and warm hospitality, it offers everything you could want from a memorable Irish lunch

Dela
Galway
06/07/2026: Disappointing, fry was less expensive than a small breakfast burger and had to pay extra for an egg.
Seating uncomfortably close to next table.
Coffee was late. Staff very pleasant however.
06/07/2026: I found this place while deciding where to have brunch during my day trip to Galway. To start with the conclusion, the staff were very friendly and nice, but I should have ordered the Eggs Benedict or pancakes instead.
I was debating between the Mushroom and this one, but since it came with a poached egg, I ordered this one. It was really tasty, but the egg was really, really bad. The yolk was a runny yolk that was almost fully cooked, and the egg white had a chewy texture due to the egg white skin, which wasn't good at all.
The fries were just okay. The cutting was also poor, and they were fluffy, so if you're planning to order the mushroom toast, I think ordering a drink is a must!
I saw some Korean reviews and decided to visit.
I really loved the service—it was warm and thoughtful.
But the food was a bit disappointing… Did I expect too much? 🥹
The poached egg wasn’t really poached—the yolk was almost fully cooked.
That said, the mushrooms were nutty and had a really nice texture. I actually enjoyed that part.ᐟ.ᐟ
They(on review) had eggs Benedict with bacon, I think!
If you want to try something, go for it—or get the pancakes 🥞

Tig Coili
Galway
02/06/2026: This place doesn’t serve food, but it’s a great spot to experience traditional Irish trad music. The atmosphere is authentic and welcoming, and the crowd tends to be a bit older, which adds to the charm. If you’re looking for genuine Irish music and a classic pub experience in Galway, it’s well worth a visit.
31/05/2026: Very cozy and very local place to sit and listen to the music and have pint of beer.

Papa Rich
Galway
22/07/2026: It is my favorite restaurant in Galway. There are a lot of choices, and all the ones I tried were delicious. Portions are very generous, and the price is reasonable. The staff is also very kind.
19/07/2026: The service is head and shoulders above anything else I have experienced recently. Friendly, personable and genuine.
The restaurant - in essence one large room - was jammed with animated diners. It reminded me of places I used to eat at in Wanchai Hong Kong - noisy, but the noise of happy hungry human beings.
The food was exceptional - the portions verging on huge. I was sceptical about the wine on tap, but the carafe of Albariño we ordered hit the spot and worked perfectly with the food.
The spice-coated beef on the Spicy Beef Salad had a BBQ’d vibe which was excellent. A tad more fresh chilli in the salad may have provided more oomph, but a moot point. The Mamak Goreng and Wok Fried Duck were packed with a myriad of flavours; the kind of food you keep eating even when full!
Highly recommended.

O'Connor's Famous Pub
Galway
17/07/2026: This pub has a great Irish atmosphere with Irish muaic playing by local bands. I tried their own Irish stout and it was delicious. There are seats outside and it's near sea side so will be a good choice for having a pint after walking by the sea.
09/07/2026: If you only visit one pub in Ireland, make it this one.
I've been in a lot of pubs on this trip, and O'Connor's in Salthill is on another level. The place itself is like walking into a living museum — every inch of wall and ceiling covered in lanterns, copper pots, old signs, and a hundred years of Galway history. Grab a pint of Guinness, find a seat near the session table, and settle in.
And the music — this is the real thing. No stage, no show for tourists. The musicians sit at a table right in the middle of the room like it's been done for generations. The night we were there, one young musician absolutely stole the show, moving between fiddle, guitar, and Irish tin whistle like it was nothing, singing his heart out while the whole pub sang along. His name is Cullen Vance. Do yourself a favor and give him a listen; you'll be hearing that name again.
Friendly staff, perfect pints, unforgettable atmosphere. This is the Ireland you came for.
We'll be back.

Greens & Co
Galway
09/07/2026: Absolutely love Greens & Co! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. There are plenty of healthy and delicious options to choose from, and everything tastes like it’s made with care. The coffee and specialty drinks are amazing too. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and provide great service every time. The atmosphere is cozy, clean, and perfect for catching up with friends or enjoying a relaxing meal. Highly recommend to anyone looking for great food and a wonderful experience!
09/07/2026: I came here for a nice vegetarian meal, where I could relax and sit after my long outing at the cliffs of Moher. When I walked in, I was planning to just order at the counter and take my meal somewhere else, but the lady practically forced me to a table. I had studied the menu online and tried to tell her that I was ready to order without seeing a menu, but she told me to consider. I looked at the menu for 30 seconds before calling her over and ordering. I asked for the Wi-Fi and she turned around and looked at her coworker, rolled her eyes and then pointed at a sign in the back of the restaurant. food did come out, surprisingly quick and tasted fine. I ordered the curry, which came with fried tofu, and I was expecting it to be seasoned like regular Asian tofu, but it was spiced like barbecue ribs. maybe that was on me, I probably could've asked more questions. Anyway, besides the rude lady who served me her coworker was actually quite kind and came over to bring me more napkins when she saw I spilled. atmosphere was great though, nice little restaurant with good vibes.

Creme Brulee, Tiramisu, and Affogato, DELICIOUS! Highly recommend Woozza over all the other pizza spots. You won't regret it!

56 Central
Galway
03/07/2026: Nice full irish breakfast. Seating filled up very quickly. Popular with the locals. No access for wheelchairs.
02/07/2026: I actually gasped when I saw the prices. You'd get much larger portions for better value in many other places near by. I feel sorry for tourists who wouldn't know any better. We were still there for 15 mins after being seated with no sign of anyone coming to take our order. We ended up handing menus back and leaving.

Brasserie on the Corner
Galway
08/07/2026: I got a burger and fries and a desert. It was very good. It was one of the best restaurants I have been to in my life. - Leon (8 years old)
08/07/2026: We had a wonderful evening at Brasserie on the Corner. The mussels in cream sauce with spring onions and bread were excellent. The fish and chips were also perfectly cooked. My girlfriend had the seafood chowder and a salad and was equally delighted. Everything was fresh and delicious, and the service was friendly. We'll definitely be back!

Monroe's
Galway
05/04/2026: Great vibe, great atmosphere, gets a bit crowded but most places do, very nice people.
04/04/2026: My friend and I stopped at Monroe's for lunch. We were blessed with the appearance of Remi, a friendly giant, who patrols the pub & check on guests (and their plates sometimes haha). The pub itself has a good atmosphere and very interesting signed posters on the ceiling! It was busy, but not chaotic busy. The staff was super friendly. We both ordered beef burgers, which were really really tasty, and of course, a pint of Guinness. We have also noticed the place hosts many gigs and other events, which is awesome!
