09/11/2024: Slow service. Hour between first plate to last one of a tabe of 10.

01/10/2024: On route from killarney needed a pit stop chose gort at random we had a dog so while walking him came on roosters cafe got a takeaway of coffee and tuna bap the cafe is lovely staff so pleasant and food of high quality and good portions would recommend this cafe without hesitation will make gort our stop off point from now on

21/08/2024: I stopped here for a panini, but left after a rude encounter with an older male employee (could be an owner - I don’t know). My husband was in line to order while I asked about the toilet. The man seemed surprised and then told me that it is for customers only. I did point out that my husband was in line ordering and he did then tell me where it was. However, I was already turned off by his tone and behavior that I decided to leave.To that man: Don’t sound accusing without facts. This was my first time visiting the island and that was the memory that stayed and hurt. Ended up getting some delicious fudge from Man of Aran Fudge and went to the toilet on the ferry.

19/08/2024: Stopped of here on the 16th of August 2024 We ordered 2 pizzas and some drinks, the Pizzas were amazing [ all 4 of us agreed] We ordered first and sat down, and were served by a lovely friendly girl who couldn't do enough for us We will defo be back ............keep up the good work

28/04/2025: Just ordered the roast breast of chicken and chips. Chips are so fresh and tasty. Roast breast of chicken was cooked to perfection. Nice and tasty. I would highly recommend Luca’s.

26/04/2025: I try support small business. But experience from today. Will make me not back to that place again. Looking for snack box. They have no chicken. Then lady offered me choice wing. I have changed 15 euro for few chips. And some dry deep fried not breaded chicken piece. Tastes like something died week ago. Food landed into bin. Stay a way from that place

04/01/2025: I have ordered food for so many year with Alice she have send the wrong Chinese food or any food you order The order cakes wrong and she had been very rough with people who don’t get what they what’s from the order Alice always promises to fix her meals and the problem as in give and give you extra meals for free with next order or just give you extra at the moment I n situation For so many years I ask her to give me proper measurements and proper food if I ask extra onion and chilli in shredded chicken and chips she always make me order wrong it either just chips, onion, and three piece of chilli so next time I order I ask the same thing extra chilly and onion chips and chicken and she bring me different box no chips no chilli and a bit of onion and chicken We’ll have I try so many time to work with this woman but she has Been racist as Alise have said to my friend tonight to make a call of my Fri to make a order as she don’t understand me all do the woman have had taken my order so many times before with no problem only the last year absolute disgrace racism I think she have forgotten that she is foreigner herself absolute racism

10/04/2025: Went in a few weeks ago for tea. Immediately noticed a strange smell but never mind I really wanted a tea! I was somewhat horrified to see they were still flogging Lindt chocolates at almost full price in earlt March. But when a very rude guy barked at me as I looked for a seat, I left straight away. Plenty of nice places where people are pleasant all over Galway, I don't need to be treated like this.

20/12/2024: Got new look fish and chips a while back. Fish absolutely rank. Just noticed it is now advertised as fish and chips. Not cod and chips. As in supermacs in Dolans.This fish is not cod. Some cheap rubbish.

18/04/2025: Don’t waste your money. I’m still in shock at how awful the food was. It has so much potential to be a great place for a family meal but instead it was inedible food at outrageous prices. Much better options available within 5 mins drive

03/02/2025: Although the staff is friendly and place has nice atmosphere, we ate the most expensive and least tasty burgers here. The grease was literraly dripping on a plate. Also, we got no side salad, and a little bit of green would be helpful.

03/10/2024: Stopped for lunch. Great food and service. Maryellen took care of us and got our large party settled comfortably. Highly recommended!!

15/08/2024: We had dinner in the dining room and had the most delicious seafood, lamb and duck. The servers were very friendly and chatty.

04/12/2024: Got delivery, ordered a curry with fried rice and chips extra and chicken balls with chips and sweet and sour sauce, 2 7ups, I paid 38.60...I got no drinks and no rice, I rang to say I got no rice and was told I didn't order it...I remember ordering fried rice, I was told u have to order rice extra if u want it which I think is BS as a curry is not a curry without rice. How in the name of god could it cost 38.60. Never again.

11/05/2025: Has to be the worst supermacs I ever been to. 9/10 times it's a disaster in some department. 30 minutes in drive thru, ignorant staff or Burnt to a crisp food.

18/03/2025: So bad,unbelievable how this store is operating the timing for a delivery I ordered a meal for my nephew.For the driver it took 1and a half hour for a delivery and also he delivered on a wrong address.Even a one star they did not deserve. Horibbele time keepers

09/05/2025: Disappointed with Service at Supermacs Oughterard My wife visited Supermacs in Oughterard on a Friday evening and ordered two chicken breast snack boxes. She clearly stated “chicken breast snack boxes” and even corrected the staff member when he initially repeated back “snack boxes” to ensure there was no confusion. Prior to this, I had texted her specifically requesting a chicken breast snack box, and she also only eats chicken breast herself. Despite this, when we went to eat the meals, neither box contained chicken breast. Instead, each contained a drumstick and inferior chicken pieces — I would describe it as little more than a “box of bones.” Unfortunately, we were unable to return to the restaurant at the time as we were caring for a very elderly relative. When I returned to Galway, I phoned the Oughterard branch and spoke with the manager, Hassen. He remembered the order and admitted that chicken breasts had not been included. However, his justification was that we were not charged for them — something we were never informed of at the time of purchase. Cost was €22.40 for the two boxes and a medium and large drink. He also criticised the fact that I was calling several hours after the order. I explained this was unavoidable given our circumstances. Allowing a customer to leave without fulfilling their specific order — and knowing it — is poor practice. Attempting to justify it afterward only makes it worse. I’ve been a regular Supermacs customer in Galway City and always received proper chicken breast snack boxes, with receipts to prove it. Sadly, this experience has damaged my confidence in the Supermacs brand, at least at this location. I hope the company takes steps to improve quality control and customer service.

23/04/2025: the workers need to stop starring at customers its quite concerning, also price’s are WAY to high and the slushy machine is rarely in service and curry cheese chips need more cheese than they give

03/03/2025: The food was pretty ok but there wasn't any seating there and it took me around an hour and a half to get fried rice.

12/09/2024: maybe the worst chefs special dish i’ve ever had. rice smelt peculiar. sweet and sour pork forgot all about the sour bit. nice service tho :)

26/04/2025: That place got better. I have visited them few years back, but they are great now. Good food, nice clean place, very friendly staff

19/04/2025: It looked great from the outside but the tables were not clean. It was 10.30pm and there was only two other customers in at the time and two people serving. I thought it was a careless. Maybe they had a lot of phone it's at the time.
