30/07/2025: I like many options from their offer, but... chicken fillet burger is something I could eat EVERY SINGLE DAY, if not twice a day 😂

13/07/2025: Place has gone to the dogs , they charge 40percwnt more for 40 percent less, avoid this place like the plague pureeee rip offff the literally half gougans so it looks like your getting 7 but you get 3 and a half will never order again joke of an establishment

07/09/2025: We had lunch at this cafe after a walk in Kilcornan Woods and before heading to Galway. I had a slice of beetroot, goat cheese, and walnut quiche there, which was a real treat for the taste buds. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. :)

01/08/2025: I did love the poached eggs breakfast but €4.20 for a latte is a step too far. €4.00 for take away with own cup. There is a well known lovely cafe in Galway city that only charges €2.80 for a latte with own cup and has the most amazing food at great prices. Will bypass now en route to Burren to pick up a coffee from now on

13/08/2025: Horrible foreign female staff member with glasses. Food horrible, no sauce in burgers or taco fries. Onion rings saturated in oil. €24 for absolute rank. Never again.

13/07/2025: A good hotel 15 minutes from Galway with free parking and a truly excellent breakfast. Clean, quiet, with a decent-sized bathroom and room. Excellent value.

09/07/2025: The best thing about the hotel: the location. The rest is forgettable. It was very noisy at night because the walls are as thin as cardboard. My room was dark and musty, and the window overlooked the restaurant's exhaust, making it impossible to ventilate. The bathroom had mold. It was adequate for sleeping, but nothing more. Breakfast and the food in the restaurant were good. The service and staff were all very friendly. The rooms were clean.

06/08/2025: The food here was soo good. We ate a take away, so no review on resterant other than we would certainly eat here again. Noodles were great, currys were tasty and chips and rice were good to.

19/01/2025: Got takeaway from here. While the food was very tasty and of good quality ingredients, it was a lot more sauce than sustenance.

28/12/2024: Do not use there online ordering system , as it will scam you out of your money without a refund option (restaurant closed Wednesday 11 December 24 online said ot was opened put order in through online, company took the money , restaurant was closed then had the cheek to ring on Thursday saying ordered was ready , still waiting for refund) update refund has being received 27 Dec 24

10/08/2025: This place should be closed down over 15 minute wait to b left on the toilet for the night and not the first time from this place. You would get better food in jail . They had no bottles of water no proper lids for drinks

18/05/2025: We each ordered a "rip your mouth" burger. It was delicious. It was cooked quickly. Everything was as agreed, first the money then the goods. So we took the goods and enjoyed them in the park. As a rule, all such establishments are simply awful and ugly inside. I guess that's the way it is. I usually don't pay attention to it.

01/10/2024: On route from killarney needed a pit stop chose gort at random we had a dog so while walking him came on roosters cafe got a takeaway of coffee and tuna bap the cafe is lovely staff so pleasant and food of high quality and good portions would recommend this cafe without hesitation will make gort our stop off point from now on

01/06/2025: We were disappointed with several aspects of our stay at Slieve Aughty Centre: 1. Lack of professionalism: My girlfriend was hosting a women’s group activity (12 participants) and had specifically requested a curtain for the room used during the sessions. Despite repeated reminders and being assured it would be arranged, nothing was done. As a last-minute solution, a staff member tried to cover the window with a black rain jacket, which was neither appropriate nor professional. 2. Shower Issues: The hot water in our cabin ran out quickly, making it difficult to take a proper shower. 3. Overpriced Dinner: On Saturday evening, we stayed for dinner and were offered lasagna. No menu or price was provided, and we were later charged €70 for two portions, which felt unreasonable. We were not informed of the cost beforehand. 4. Breakfast Miscommunication: Our booking clearly included breakfast, yet the owner tried to charge us for it. Only after we showed the confirmation email was the charge removed. Beautiful surroundings, but the lack of transparency and professionalism made our stay disappointing.

22/02/2025: My daughter attends riding here, it's our favourite Saturday routine. The instructors are amazing, and we love the cafe. We finish the day off with a walk in the woods...stunning!

08/07/2025: fabulous food 😋 all the dishes are flavour packed. the pizza is thin based crispy and so fresh. the pasta dishes big portions and pasta cooked lovely . I had the chicken valdostana creamy sauce and peas so tender. the mash was nice and the selection of veg but I would have liked be able to choose the potato dish . the cheese and ceaser salad were fresh and beautiful. the decor needs a bit of work and first impressions of cleaning table covers could be better, overall a quick clean would go well. staff lovely, maybe a few more wines to choose from. But I would seriously give this spot a try, easy walk around Athenry and street parking close by.
