The best restaurants in Galway

27/10/2024: Tasty food overall but we waited over 40 min for our order. I would think it to be basic courtesy to make customers aware how long they will have to wait for their food especially if it's more than 25-30 min

25/10/2024: We went here for the Taste of Oranmore special in which we had samosas and chicken tikka to start and then got main the Morgi Makhanwala signature dish. Both courses were full of flavour! The owner Robin was extremely friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be going back!

12/09/2024: Had a lovely meal here, kids loved the pancakes, ended up buying some chocolate before we left from a vast array of products on display

09/08/2024: Bang average breakfast not very well cooked hash brown greasy eggs were very over done sausages ok rashers were nice and only sourdough bread available no brown bread???

19/05/2024: This pub appears to have it all. A lovely creamy pint. Several outdoor areas including a roof bar and a comedy night that should be experienced by all. Great staff, lovely owner. I will sample the food next time but the pint of Guinness was cuisine of the finest itself. Pool table and sports galore too. Great spot.

15/03/2024: After an unfortunately rainy day, it was all the better to drink a very good and hot cocoa and as my husband said delicious cappuccino and also our selection of cakes was the right one, unfortunately I only photographed the counter, it was a pleasure. Thank you for that, the memory remains. A typical bakery, pastry shop, as I know them from here in Germany, lovingly run, greeted and served with symbolic looks

23/08/2024: Dropped in at 6 today, took 30 mins after paying to get my food, not exactly fast food!

21/08/2024: Every time I come here, it's dirty. Today it is so filthy my 6 year olds wouldn't even sit down at the table. Also, the food always takes ages here no matter how empty or busy

13/10/2024: The food was delish and the service was delightful. The gluten free pizza was some of the best I have had. After a small mix up that made our food take a bit longer we were offered a free drink or dessert. Would certainly come back again if I was in the area.

09/11/2024: Ordered from here yesterday. Was delicious. Came lovely and hot and very well seasoned. The tall hunk (looks a bit like Chris hemsworth 😉) in there was very courteous and helpful. Even helped to bring my large order to the car

27/10/2024: Ordered online and it came half an hour quicker than expected! Was very impressed with this. The portions are ok for the price. We got a spicebag, large portion of chicken balls(8) and a meal 4 if i remember correctly

03/09/2024: Truly excellent and very abundant dishes, possibility to choose what they will be accompanied with (boiled or fried rice), something that doesn't exist in Italy. We had a really good time, the place was clean and well kept. The fast service (we had everything in half an hour) and the kind and friendly waiters. Also very convenient is the fact that it closes late, on a Saturday evening where all the kitchens of the other restaurants closed at 7.30pm, it was our salvation. If I lived in Athenry it would be one of my favorite restaurants.

19/09/2024: My wife and I spent the last day of our vacation at the Coach House Hotel in Oranmore. We had dinner reservations at Moran's seeing this Hotel was close by & looked very charming we booked. Unfortunately it was absolutely terrible, the room was drab & dull with one tiny frosted window. The telephone didn't work & was glued together, we spoke to the receptionist but nothing was done. This wasn't the worst, we failed to check the beds & once we got back at night & went to bed we found holes in the mattresses with the springs protruding through the fabric, our stupidity for not checking earlier, we ended up sleeping on top of the comforters. Also on closer observation we noticed stains on the mattress covers. When checking out we notified the receptions who apologised & asked us to send pictures to the owners, which we did but never received a response. I would advise anyone staying there to check the beds upon arrival. I assume I speak for most Travelers that the most important item in a hotel bedroom is a good bed and a good night's sleep!
