22/06/2025: Fabulous time had I will be back very soon

20/06/2025: While the hotel is beautiful, it took 3 attempts to get the correct hotel key card and us walking into another couples room. The breakfast in the morning was a bit underwhelming and the latte was awful. Would not recommend staying here if you like feeling secure in your hotel room.

04/09/2025: We got a chicken curry and a Thai green curry this evening for a takeaway. Both were not great and the chips were only half cooked very disappointing!

27/08/2025: The most amazing chicken burger, fish and chips were really nice too. Bit of a wait, but we'll worth the wait for fresh food like this. Ive asked for extra veggies and indeed got them, which happens quite rarely in many take aways. It’s on street parking.

21/07/2025: Came here with my partner to celebrate my Birthday, the meal was amazing. Lovely experience overall and the staff were extremely courteous. Some of the other people dining there appeared overly pretentious but luckily we got to avoid them in the private booth. Would definitely return.

01/07/2025: Well where do l start first, on a positive note the coffee is amazing. However, the owner was always unfriendly and flippant with me, despite me being very friendly and delighted to see people as l was a nurse busy working in the ICU during Covid time. Trying to get a conversation from him was like pulling teeth. Bare in mind when all the arty fartys would arrive he was all talk. I bought atleast 2-3 coffees per day for over a year and was never told there was a loyalty system in place. So never availed of a free coffee until l seen somebody else using their loyalty card. I was gobsmacked to say the least. Unfortunately that was my experience and also my husband's, who would get on with anybody found him unwelcoming. This is the first review l have ever written in my life and its a shame it has to be a negative review. I hope this resonates with the owner as being kind to your customers goes along way

18/06/2025: A very strange impression. We came here on a positive note. Before that, we visited the Crystal Center. Great. We read positive reviews about this cafe. Indeed, it has two components, two parts. Simple souvenirs that are everywhere and a little bit of exclusivity. For example, loose coffee. A pleasant smell, but not coffee. All this could have been a plus, but then there are big "BUTs". 1. The staff, standing with their backs to the hall, and blocking the sales counter, were disassembling some kind of unit on it. It was difficult to attract their attention. 2. For some reason, they had a hard time accepting the order. To do this, we literally had to poke at the menu. 3. We were very surprised when we asked for coffee not in disposable cups. For us, cardboard and good coffee are incompatible. The drink should be in heated porcelain or, at worst, ceramics. Coffee must be ground before preparation. Brew in a Turk, cezve or ball. This is a ritual. In this case, a cheap eatery that claims five stars. 4. Soon after the order was brought, they started to demonstratively clean up around us (and this was an hour before closing). 5. There is a good pizzeria nearby. At the same time, we ordered pizza from them. But when I entered this establishment with a box, I received a sea of ​​​​reproach and indignation. Where is the warmth and goodwill. The establishment has tables and chairs. Is it a big crime if two elderly people eat their slice of pizza in addition to the cake and drinks ordered in the establishment. The car is parked right next to the establishment, with the windshield at the door. Let's say the staff did not see the blue label on the glass, but our age, our 70 years, is difficult to hide. Showing fundamental ill will towards the sick, elderly people is bad for business. In connection with all of the above, the assessment is generally negative. There are many small villages nearby, but with good, kind people. With excellent restaurants, and we left there in a good mood.

24/06/2025: Very quick service. Staff were friendly. I was actually really happy with how quick the food was ready.

03/05/2025: Had the worst extremely super salty snack box meal in Athenry supermacs. It was so salty that the food was almost bitter. Supermacs was one of my favorite go to place after a night out, never had a bad tasting like today. Please try to improve, don't make people to hate supermacs.

03/09/2025: Nice interior, convenient location, nice view, terrace. Delicious coffee. Good service, polite staff. Large selection of desserts. Lots of souvenirs. Overall I liked this place which I visited for the first time, although before that I had been to Lidl on the ground floor a hundred times, One minus - very noisy! Lots of people, noisy and stuffy. It's not cozy.

31/08/2025: Honestly, the service was excellent and the place was lovely. Even the food was presented really well. The problem was that the food was bland and honestly left me feeling a bit sick. I don’t even think it was a problem with how it was cooked and prepared, I think the ingredients themselves were cheap and rubbery. I’ve never tasted cheese without flavour before but unfortunately this experience was presented to me today. A kids cheese and ham toastie and a bbq wrap. Both equally unappetising. The coffee was good and I’m sure the cakes, which looked good were amazing. Alas. We are spoiled with excellent food in Galway, and unfortunately this didn’t hit the spot.

20/06/2025: Absolutely terrible experience. We walked in at 9:55 PM — the restaurant clearly states online and on the door that it closes at 11 PM. There were only two people dining, so it wasn’t busy. We were asked if we had a reservation (strange, considering the place was nearly empty), and when we said no, the man at the counter tutted, checked his phone, and spoke in another language to a colleague — clearly about us, and not politely. He then informed us the kitchen was closed, even though the other diners were just being served their mains. The attitude from the staff was absolutely appalling — dismissive, rude, and unwelcoming. Do yourself a favor and spend your money somewhere it’s actually appreciated. With customer service like this, I doubt they’ll stay open much longer. My advice is change your opening times and perhaps staff need a refresher in hospitality customer service.

19/05/2025: Had a wonderful dinner tonight and received excellent service from Sam and the staff. Dinner was served promptly, preceded by tasty appetizers, the food was piping hot and absolutely delicious. Sadly they are not opening a restaurant in my home town in Canada. I’ll have to return. 22/08/2025: Great Unlimited breakfast however it did take a good 35 minutes to get to the table from ordering (as it's not buffet) however there is continental breakfast included if you can't wait. Unlimited drinks including juices too, nearly everything tasted spot on apart from the black pudding was slightly mushy but still can't complain. The view from the upper dining area was amazing really recommend and will go again.

17/02/2025: Ordered 2 pizzas for delivery on the app, it was easy to order and they were at the door in about 35-40 minutes. All good so far. I got the food and when we started to eat and noticed the pizzas were only lukewarm and after 2 slices they were cold

04/07/2025: I have been to lots of Roots. This one is beautiful, dark ceilings and pretty decor. Food is consistently good. They just recently have added an app and a loyalty programme so that's cool. They put a cute face on my daughter's babyccino. The chai latte was too strong for me. I find that some baristas when making powder based drinks like hot chocolate or chai latte just add way too much powder. I added some milk from my daughter's babyccino so it was fine. The caramel squares in here are so tasty.

30/11/2024: We used to enjoy getting kebabs and chips here. They were absolutely phenomenal. After a coeliac diagnosis the chef and staff have gone to great lengths to start including a gluten free menu ! Gluten free kebabs, pizza and wraps. They have been so accommodating. 5 stars and the friendliest service !!

12/11/2024: I would recommend this place to anyone. Lovely freshly prepared food ( no re fried chips), good portion sizes and very clean place. We had pizza, chips and Kebab. The pizza here is delicious with a perfectly crisp crust. Kebab was tops with fresh vegetables and sauce topped off the culinary delight. We would definitely come back again.

08/07/2025: Had a lovely overnight stay, rooms very comfortable and a great night sleep. Breakfast was amazing plenty of selection. Will visit again
