21/08/2025: Top place, great bar tenders up for the ball hopping and friendly locals. Well worth a visit. Lovely pool tables and a juke box too.

19/05/2025: Nice locals bar, present enough staff but low marks for the lack of atmosphere, also missing a trick not serving food.

17/10/2025: We didn't stay here as we have a mortorhome. But we did eat here and I really must say the food is how it should be. .beautiful cooked wonderfully presented and i couldn't believe they make home made chips to perfection 👌 no frozen junk here .the staff really are down to earth 🌎 beautiful people. Thank you for your hospitality your service and your beautiful food . It really made this trip special.

16/11/2025: We would visit the restaurant a few times a year as we live nearby but the standard of food has deteriorated over recent months. On our last visit the service was as good as usual but the food was terrible. Cream of vegetable soup was thin and watery. Cottage pie was two inches of stodgy mash on a thin filling of tinned tomatoes with some pieces of onion and mince and a few peas. Poorly seasoned and the potato topping wasn't browned at all. A portion of the same potatoes with overcooked broccoli and carrots were the accompaniment. The carrots were fine and that was the only good thing about the meal. It was hard to believe a professional had cooked it, and at €15.95 it was nothing but a rip-off. We'll never go back.

12/11/2025: We stopped for lunch last Sunday. we ordered chicken ceasar salad and seafood chowder. Well, the chowder was very watery and had no fish and the bread was stale, the salad was really average. We will not stop there again.

29/05/2025: Perfect place to have a quick bite if you are a Chinese and Thai food lover !!! Chicken fried dumplings and hot sour soup is a must to try!! Overall my favorite Chinese place !! Elice the owner of the place is also very friendly!

11/08/2025: I was there Sunday the 10th of August at 8.43am and the gentleman who served me, known as Lee Whelton was a brilliant worker, knows the running of the place and was so very helpful he was a star ⭐️!!

03/11/2025: An incredible experience! We're from Spain and have been to many Michelin-starred restaurants and other high-quality establishments, and this chef has truly surprised us. Our sincerest congratulations. Spectacular flavors, an amazing setting, and we had to have seconds of the dessert. Keep it up, and you'll achieve everything you set your mind to.

01/11/2025: From the start to the end it was an experience. A safari of dishes mafe with a chef with a salient eye for detail. The orient express carriage takes you away, enabling a step out of reality and providing the escapism we often all so crave. Led by Ian, the restaurant manager, he is endowed with his exceptional front of house team. Sophie was excellent also. She could really put a spin on the explanations and the staff seemed so engaged. The team are so well drilled and they know their product inside out. As regards the food offering, we thought this was exceptional. Service was razor sharp. From the quality of the food down to the chefs magic with herbs, the provenance of the dishes, the cooking styles and just the crockery, cutlery and general magic that prevaded throughout the experience. If you like a treat or like fine dining. This is a must do. We opted for the wine pairing. It was sublime. Take a bow.

We come from Athenry to delight ourselves with excellent food and service as often as we can. 10/10 every time we visit and always looking 👀 forward to the next experience! Thank you 🙏 so much. 02/11/2025: Unfortunately, the roast duck was quite chewy and the spice bag very dry, making it hard to enjoy. Sorry, but I wouldn’t return.

30/11/2025: Rebecca and staff at Sarsfields Rd. Ballinasloe were so helpful when I ordered party food for my daughters birthday party.

13/08/2025: Horrible foreign female staff member with glasses. Food horrible, no sauce in burgers or taco fries. Onion rings saturated in oil. €24 for absolute rank. Never again.

13/12/2025: Takeaway only, food is good, chips are freshly prepared and delicious, fish box is excellent value for money.

12/11/2025: Amazing: The same name as another takeaway, equally excellent food quality and friendly staff, but a completely different location and different operators and employees than at "ROMA" in Monksland, Athlone. Over time, I have tried the cod fillets, onion rings (both in batter), chips and various pizzas here in Mountbellew. Everything was freshly prepared to order. I can highly recommend all of these dishes. I spoke to some of the locals. They all agreed that this is an exceptionally good takeaway. A small side note: I am not Irish. One of the staff had lived in my home country for years, so I was unexpectedly able to speak my native language – somehow heart-warming.

21/09/2025: Everything in Apache Gort is just amazing You get free parking. Sitting area near and Clean Staff is very friendly. Food is Tasty. Love Apache Gort
