05/06/2024: Great place to get food Gives great portions All though sometimes they give u the wrong order..........=here i am nearly 12 months later and I can't say I'm impressed I would give it a 2/10 the chips taste like pre made and are soggy the chicken tenders are so soggy they were like water I taught you would improve but you clearly didn't I will be back in 12 months for another review hope it improves.............=

31/10/2024: I recently dined at Pinns Restaurant in Twelve, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive. The service was impeccable – our server made excellent recommendations and was always nearby if we needed anything without being intrusive. The food was simply outstanding! Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. We tried a few different options, and each one was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The chef's attention to detail was clear, and it’s evident they use high-quality ingredients. The atmosphere was cozy yet elegant, making it ideal for a special night out. Whether you're a local or just visiting, I highly recommend Pinns for an unforgettable dining experience. Looking forward to my next visit!

06/08/2024: A beautiful bar, the interior is sophisticated and chic yet cosy. A very inviting atmosphere. The lunch menu has some great options I'm looking forward to trying. We opted for the Beetroot salad with Goats cheese, it was perfect. I'd certainly recommend 👌

25/07/2024: For starters, I never leave reviews but i felt the need after eating at bistro18. we overheard an English man working there talking to a much younger waitress from the kitchen saying loudly very inappropriate things calling her a good girl and then walk to the till. The waitresses were lovely as well and this man is horrid ! The food was also cold, drenched in grease, the "pancakes" were dirty crepes and the chicken sandwich was 99% peppers which were sliced extremely large and cooked bad. The bread was most likely bought from Lidl and just felt very very boring and not worth the money. Avoid this place if you want a good meal, there are many great places around Ballinasloe.

10/11/2024: I go here from time to time and im usually pleased with it. But now i am so dissapointed about how small the portion sizes are! 12 euro for something i can eat in 3 bites! I dont understand why they made the portion sizes smaller but im honestly not happy with it. I could go somewhere else and spend 12 euro and ill definitely be full after eating. Not worth it. Dont come here

06/09/2024: First, the good: Glenlo Abbey is a GORGEOUS property, with sweeping views and amazing buildings. You really feel like you've stepped back in time. It's close enough to the Galway city center to experience that but far enough to feel like you're on a provincial estate away from it all. The golf course looks gorgeous, the Pullman car is a fantastic touch (unfortunately we didnt have a chance to partake in a meal there), and the rooms are very well appointed and spacious. Breakfast was delicious and classy, with some unfortunate service hiccups (discussed below.) This is definitely a place you want to come to for several days to enjoy all of the amenities. Unfortunately, there were several missteps that will probably inhibit our return. Generally, the service was friendly but chaotic and absent. Both in the bar and in the breakfast restaurant they are both understaffed and undertrained. People waiting 15-20 minutes to just order a drink at the bar. The nicest bartender had no idea how to make cocktails (at over 15 euro/pop) and we had to have them remade by a more experienced guy. (Again, super nice about it, but admitting you don't normally make drinks in the bar is a not a good start!) And at breakfast we were just ignored. 10, 15, 20 minutes until we could order something. no offer for coffee. finally the coffee did come AFTER we were done with our meals, about 30+ mins after we sat down. I'm not a rushed person, but when you're paying $500+ per night for a room, you expect a certain level of service that this hotel just doesnt have, unfortunately. Finally, we booked our room through a credit card travel portal, as we had points to burn. I never do this, but it was clear that the hotel treated us worse than others. We only stayed for one night and one of our rooms was horrible. they claimed they were sold out, but why not give someone who checked in after us that horrible room? It was a handicap room with a terrible bathroom and the entire room smelled like paint. Just not what you expect when paying this kind of money (even through an OTA). Next time we will book directly, but the hotel should not relegate certain bookings to their terrible rooms.

11/11/2024: The live music was incredibly good: I've paid for worse concerts and this one was free and with great musicians and singers. The waiter's attention was perfect. I didn't eat there, just a beer and a couple of soft drinks... But everything looked good, apparently you should eat well.
