03/08/2026: I've been here for drinks a good few times and enjoyed the atmosphere, then in July 2026 I decided to give the food a try. I had an excellent fillet steak that was the special of the day, followed by a lovely slice of Malteaser cheesecake.

31/07/2026: A truly positive surprise: not the restaurant itself, but the wonderful meal of sea bass on perfectly seasoned vegetables, with shrimp as a side dish, was absolutely fantastic. Followed by a generously filled glass of whiskey, it was probably the best dining experience I've had in Ireland, and very reasonably priced to boot.
Highly recommended; many thanks to the kitchen and staff.

24/07/2026: We had originally planned to go to Behive. But strangely, it was still closed at dinnertime. We were glad we did, though, because the food was delicious, the service was friendly, it was quick, and the garden was just the right temperature.

12/06/2026: Room was lovely. Service was lacking in the staff, some seemed just blatantly disrespectful and others really tried to go above and beyond. The food was inconsistent which was disappointing at best. This place really needs to work on their hospitality and consistency to be rated any higher.
12/04/2026: Truly 5 star across all aspects of the hotel.
Fabulous spa, gorgeous room with great views, fantastic breakfast, amazing kind staff.

16/06/2026: The worst and hardest hotel in Ireland. When I had the interview with Damian I asked him about the distance between the accommodation and the place of work, he told me 5 minutes but it was 20 minutes. Although there were 3 people in the accommodation he kept us for 3 weeks without a washing machine even though we were paying rent. Damian also forced me to take leave Holiday even though I didn't ask for it.
09/06/2026: Just off the M6, great view of lough rea and great breakfast.
Connaught suite for the extra few quid is well worth it. A walk-in shower with space for 4+ if your into that 😀 or a stand alone bath deep enough for a full relaxing deep soak after a day touring Galway or Clare is well worth it.
Staff are great and very friendly.

09/05/2026: I was in there for dinner and it was really disappointing. Chips were raw. Dishes weren't described as they came. There was a bone in the chicken dish and everything had no flavour and lacked salt. Very disappointing wont be coming again

05/08/2026: Very disappointed with the portion of meat. The bowl was mostly noodles and vegetables, with only a few tiny pieces of meat. For the price, I expected a much more balanced meal. The broth was decent, but the amount of meat was ridiculously small and made the dish feel poor value for money. I wouldn't order this again unless they improve the portion sizes.
27/07/2026: Stumbled upon this place when visiting Oranmore and the food is fantastic. We got the green curry and Singapore Noddle and both were great. Massive portions and really friendly staff. We ended up sitting and eating there.

15/05/2026: A very warm and attentive welcome. It was very pleasant.
The elevator is a nice touch, as is the parking for guests (limited spaces).
There's a restaurant within the hotel for breakfast and other meals, with the option of takeout or room service.
The bedding is comfortable, the room is quite spacious, and the bathroom is a good size.
It's perfect, 20 minutes from Galway.
I would just mention the lack of natural light in the room (small and off-center window).
14/05/2026: Close to the bus stop for Galway, quiet, clean, excellent breakfast. Everything was perfect.

Misunderstood Heron
16/07/2026: We visited the Misunderstood Heron and Campbell's twice, once for coffee and cake and once for lunch and some drinks (from Campbell's). Both visits were excellent. Delicious fresh food and located in an extremely beautiful and relaxed location. Well done Misunderstood Heron and Campbell's pub for creating such a lovely place to while away a few hours.
28/06/2026: The concept would certainly cause enthusiasm in a big city. Even the high prices would not bother. The restaurant doesn't want to fit in the area. We liked the food, even if it could have used a little more temperature here and there, but we would have expected something different in this section of Ireland with changeable climatic conditions. It would be helpful if you could see on the menu which food is hot or cold.

16/07/2026: I ordered two portions of taco cheese chips. I don't remember ever eating such bad fries. The meat was completely dry and tasteless... there was almost no taco sauce and just a pinch of cheese, the fries were "boiled" and soggy. €16 for two portions... this quality is a joke. Sorry, but this was my last time eating at your place because the quality is simply terrible.
