The best restaurants in Galway

20/08/2026: Lovely little restaurant. Was quiet when we went in but to be fair was 8pm on a Wednesday. Had some eel and prawn nigiri and it was delicious! Then after had the chicken wok fried rice and the wok fried duck with orange sauce. Food was unreal and the waitress was really kind and attentive. Don't let the quiet atmosphere throw you off- food is sublime! Will definitely be returning

12/08/2026: Really enjoyed Koi. The food was really good and full of flavour. Everything tasted fresh and well made. Had a lovely meal and would definitely go back again.

17/05/2026: This place was such a hidden gem. We found it last minute coming from Galway and managed to get a reservation. The service was great and the food was even better. The prime rib was honestly some of the best I’ve had great quality and cooked perfectly. Definitely a place we’ll be coming back to soon.

15/07/2026: I can’t believe we placed or order for delivery and were told we had to pay cash, I asked how much and was told I’ll call you back which they did,not an issue at first. Our order was received but not what we ordered!!! I called and again we will call you back. I did receive a call 10 minutes later and explained there was an error in the order and they would resend, I said no and replied the next time we order you can take it off the bill. Pony to be greeted with I took your order and it’s correct I have it recorded, I responded great send the recording to me and then we can sort this out, he then shouted at me down the phone he was correct as the order was recorded in his head no actually recording. After him easing his voice and been so rude I said please don’t raise your voice to me, the reply I’m not you are shouting at me 🤣 which I find funny as I had him on speaker and my voice was never raised I was just explaining the issues. He lost the plot and has now barred me from his shop🤣🤣🤣 all the food is in the fridge and I want a refund for the food we didn’t order and couldn’t eat.! Not nice people

21/07/2026: We ended up here by chance. Fantastic dinner!!! The food was really good and the service was excellent. Special requests were always accommodated. Highly recommended.

22/04/2026: Lovely clean , beautifully decorated always lovely lovely music playing not to loud just right. Food absolutely delicious staff so so nice and friendly. Nicest staff you could ever come across. If your near moycullen check it out you won't be dissapointed. Good prices too and quick service .

17/08/2026: Burgers are very good, chicken is as well. Nice American vibe in an Irish place with Irish quality meat. Good modern country music on the radio is also a huge plus. Beats the franchised places by miles.

02/08/2026: Food is solid got exactly what I asked for. Such a strange playlist in here one minute listening to rave music and then country music. The place is ran by teenagers who don't want to work there and struggle to smile. The floor is also extremely slippery in here bring your skates!!

13/08/2026: Halloumi sandwich was outstanding, and the reviews of the fish tacos from my friends were similar. Be prepared for a bit of a wait, but it gives a chance to sit back and enjoy the experience. Highly recommend.

10/08/2026: Very disappointing and frustrating. Arrived excited on the back of several positive reviews. Was there with my wife and 2 young children (1 & 4) and ordered 2 fish tacos, dumplings and a hotdog but had to wait close to 50 minutes for our food. About 15 minutes after we ordered a large group arrived. As we waited we saw this group being served. When we asked about our order we were told this group had pre-ordered. No apology. No offer of a drink for our kids. Just tough luck. We were amoung 8 others who put in orders before thus group arrived and had to wait close to an hour for our food. If we had been told before we ordered to expect a long delay or even received half-hearted apology, my review would have been different, but myself and others whose orders had been set aside for the preordered group all felt very poorly treated. My food review may have been higher but we were so angry by the time our food arrived to the table that the quality and presentation was hard to appreciate.

26/02/2026: Just popped into The Lake Hotel after a funeral and wow were we pleasantly surprised, we just went in for a quick coffee but had the wings as well, the wings were fabulous probably best I've ever had, the service was great, the staff so nice and pleasant. The toilets are spotless. They have done refurbishment and new manager ( I can't remember last time I was there) so the best of luck with it all, will definitely be back

13/05/2026: I used to love coming here been going to this Chinese the past few years but in the last year or so the few times we have gone the food has changed the last time I ordered I got a party box way to much salt on it the chips were powdery and the chicken tasted like rubber and the shredded was also like rubber I ordered 2 boxes of this and got 3 boxes of rice and got sweet and sour sauce it tasted like vinger no sweet taste of it I used to love the sauce whatever they changed in it and also the satey sauce was changed we had to throw it out paid 65 euro for it was so disappointed I won't be back again,I used think it was the best chinese around and was always fairly priced but can't go back when the food didn't taste good

05/08/2026: This is the most amazing food. The creativity, quality, variety and service are all exceptional. I don’t know anywhere to get better food, and the food is all vegan, this food is sustenance for anyone who has any interest in eating delicious, innovative and nutritional food- ie all of us!! I really recommend⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

15/04/2026: The best Vegan food in Ireland , amazing delicious very healthy too, I try every Saturday to go to the milk market to get goodies or I try go to ballysimon on a random Wednesday if I can. My favourite thing in the world is the marinated tofu focaccia sandwich thing. I am obsessed. Infact I'm going to the airport tomorrow and I'm going to get the tofu sandwich today just to have at the airport that's how delicious it is! 02/08/2026: We had an amazing stay here! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the live music created a fantastic atmosphere. Visiting the Aran Islands was the absolute highlight of our trip to Ireland, and staying here made the experience even more memorable. We would happily recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

28/07/2026: Disappointing Irish coffee: whipped cream instead of regular cream, the flavors clash, and the result is bitter.
