09/11/2025: Lovely food, service could be a bit better, i would go there again easily if it wasn’t for the initial strong odour within the shop. The smell was indescribable, I think it was vomit that wasn’t cleaned up properly. I guess someone didn’t like the food. I strongly advise you get candles or an air freshener. I would definitely return here but the smell is unbearable. Please do something about it, its disappointing trying to get out of there especially when its busy, i could not wait to leave.

03/07/2025: Just had the tastiest Hazelnut latte from Le Pause Dessert. Wish I had time to sample some of the lovely food that was on display but had to review the minute I got home because of the beautiful Coffee I got.

23/10/2025: Sushi as good as I've eaten anywhere. They were very helpful, because one of our party wanted a seaweed salad, and they made some up fresh, and it was delicious as well. Tip, we asked at the pub next door if we could eat there, and they were ok with it...super friendly staff in both places. The Birra Moretti zero, and the Gingibeer went well with it, but they also have Asahi in the restaurant... so you are covered wither way. YUMMMMMMMM! Really. Thank you, Sakura and The Thatch Pub (I think).

08/09/2025: Always getting our take away sushi from here. We’re having high standards on sushi, Sakura is def the way to go. Never fails. Top salmon nigiri and great quality. Fantastic miso soup and gyoza. We always either collect or get delivery, so can’t say anything about eating in.

21/09/2025: food always takes 40-50 mins though i live 7 mins away ish. there’s more than a 50/50 chance the food is ice cold when it arrives. great food quality though but it sucks having to microwave it.

11/09/2025: This is the first mosto in Ireland where I felt unwanted. The young man behind the bar seemed quite unpleasant. For every beer we had to push our way through people sitting at the bar. I didn't like it here very much. I was here during my holiday. Everyone around is kinder and nicer. The only nice thing is the burning fireplace. PS: In the end, the lady who replaced me saved it a bit, but you only make a first impression once.

30/05/2025: We stopped for a pint in Gort and struck up a convo with some locals about an ancestral home (with sketchy details) but they knew what we were talking about and even looked up the phone number of an old-timer who could fill in some gaps! What a thrill (and the bar was quite fun, too; the horse-racing was on the telly!)

09/12/2025: Stunning hotel! I attended an Irish da cont competition here and was amazed at how clean, friendly and welcoming it was!

18/12/2025: Sushi is more like mini sushi. Much smaller than normal. Same with the chicken balls. Spice bag was quite dry and boring, curry sauce was watery and had absolutely no flavour but it’s smell was strong. Wouldn’t go there again.

16/12/2025: We went last week with some friends and what a nice discovery! 🥰 The food was delicious, everything, sushi, ramen, beef on sizzling plate with noddles, giozas, wow! Fresh veggies and the quality of the meat was really good. They also have a lovely bento box for kids with so many different options, my son loved the chicken, giozas and chips, even small pieces of cucumber sushi for them to try, yummy! He told it was as good as grandma's breaded chicken. And the size of the portions, just a lot of everything! Service really good as well! We will come back soon! Many thanks!

27/07/2025: Great pub, great service, lovely experience. Always a great haunt for Athenry but the remodel has taken it to another level.

10/07/2025: The Guinness is okay but the toilets need cleaned, properly. Snot wiped on walls is not a good look. The public toilets across the street are cleaner. Guess which is which !🙄

09/10/2024: Very quiet place. The waitresses were very attentive and friendly. We had the full Irish breakfast with tea; it was very filling and delicious.

23/11/2025: I walked in to check out the place. 3 staff there, one sitting on floor stool, two other standing, all looked peed off. Weren't helpful to my question about what they selling. Great way to greet potential customers. Left.

14/11/2025: Absolutely horrendous delivery service. 2nd time ordering for delivery now and well over 1 hour waiting each time, shocking. Not sure they’re able to run a business.

05/10/2025: Long day walking the Cliffs of Moher and we were looking for someplace to eat and rest our feet. Gatto Rosso let us do both. I have an extreme dairy allergy so Italian restaurants are always a challenge. Add to that our server was very new and I ordered a no cheese pizza. Not gonna lie, I was worried. I shouldn't have been. Either the manager or the owner came out and confirmed that I wanted a no cheese pizza and assured me it would be free of any dairy. What I got was one of the best pizzas I have ever had in my life. I ate the whole darn thing because it was so good. SO got pasta and loved it. Oh and the beer was excellent. We sat outside in the beautiful weather and people watched. When we are back in Galway not in a heat wave I will gladly sit inside. Great food, great location and exceptional service. Thank you!

26/09/2025: Food was ok the pizza was a bit raw and the prices high even considering the location still a bit to much (Margherita 17.50) Service was ok a bit slow but friendly. All in all acceptable but not really good
