09/01/2026: The food was delicious and portions were generous. We had the Roast Beef and the Duck and we'll definitely be back!! Also the chairs are really comfy 😃

24/11/2025: Stopped in for breakfast and it was absolutely excellent. The food was fresh, well-presented, and really good quality, easily one of the better breakfasts I’ve had in a long time. The dining area was comfortable and welcoming, and everything came out quickly. A special shout-out to Radi, who was genuinely exceptional. Her service was warm, attentive, and incredibly professional. She made the whole experience stand out. Highly recommend dropping in here for breakfast and say hi to Radi!

10/06/2025: Stopped here soaked and exhausted during a bike road trip, the owner offered coffee and tea free of charge. Great place and nice customers, thanks a lot.

18/08/2025: This Chinese restaurant was a complete surprise to me i wasn't expecting to find a Chinese restaurant in Carraroe but what a nice surprise staff were very nice service was good the food was great and the place has a pleasant friendly atmosphere and good prices.

12/11/2025: Amazing: The same name as another takeaway, equally excellent food quality and friendly staff, but a completely different location and different operators and employees than at "ROMA" in Monksland, Athlone. Over time, I have tried the cod fillets, onion rings (both in batter), chips and various pizzas here in Mountbellew. Everything was freshly prepared to order. I can highly recommend all of these dishes. I spoke to some of the locals. They all agreed that this is an exceptionally good takeaway. A small side note: I am not Irish. One of the staff had lived in my home country for years, so I was unexpectedly able to speak my native language – somehow heart-warming.

26/09/2025: I visited your cafe today with my friends and unfortunately had an unpleasant experience. While we were taking photos with a flash, a staff member asked us to stop because it was disturbing customers — which we understood and complied with. What made us uncomfortable was the way it was handled. Instead of coming over to request it politely, the staff member called out to us loudly from behind the counter in front of other customers. He then continued discussing it with colleagues in the same sarcastic manner which was visibly heard across the cafe.This felt unprofessional and left us uncomfortable . A more discreet and respectful approach would have been much more appropriate and would have avoided leaving us with such a negative impression of your cafe.

27/12/2025: Such great food at affordable prices prepared and served by very professional efficient staff , they have a very comprehensive menu , fish , chips , kebab , pizza and much more , take away or sit in , the sit in is spacious and very clean , the toilets are clean and well stocked . This is a lovely place to dine and I thoroughly recommend you go .

15/07/2025: Plenty of space, even for campervans. There's a stone toilet block with hot water. The lifeguard station is right at the back of the building. They're very friendly and helpful, by the way. Next door is a pub where you can grab a drink if you've run out of your own supplies.

12/01/2026: Booked a group meal for a civil ceremony in November that was taking place in January. A week before their events manager called us in for a chat . She informed us , with only a week to go, that we would have to guarantee a booking for six rooms the night before or they could not take us. While trying to speak with her I was constantly spoken over and treated very poorly. How this lady holds her position of events manager beggars belief. While the rest of the staff are very professional, The Events manager is just not fit for purpose and is one of , if not the most unprofessional and rudest managers I have ever encountered. Thankfully The Oranmore Lodge Hotel saved the day and were extremely professional and welcoming. Think twice before you think of holding your event at the Lady Gregory.
