The best restaurants in Galway

02/12/2025: Currently staying in hotel with our young family(6yr old and baby) we specifically booked dinner for a time where we would avail of the early bird menu, we were waiting at least 10 minutes for the waitress to come back to us to take our order, we were then informed in not a nice manner from waitress that the early bird finished approx 10/15 minutes previous. The waitress in particular was not friendly and quite rude to us. This is unfortunate to us as we are regulars to the hotel and has put a bit of a damper on our stay here currently.

26/09/2025: I visited your cafe today with my friends and unfortunately had an unpleasant experience. While we were taking photos with a flash, a staff member asked us to stop because it was disturbing customers — which we understood and complied with. What made us uncomfortable was the way it was handled. Instead of coming over to request it politely, the staff member called out to us loudly from behind the counter in front of other customers. He then continued discussing it with colleagues in the same sarcastic manner which was visibly heard across the cafe.This felt unprofessional and left us uncomfortable . A more discreet and respectful approach would have been much more appropriate and would have avoided leaving us with such a negative impression of your cafe.

18/08/2025: This Chinese restaurant was a complete surprise to me i wasn't expecting to find a Chinese restaurant in Carraroe but what a nice surprise staff were very nice service was good the food was great and the place has a pleasant friendly atmosphere and good prices.

24/11/2025: Stopped in for breakfast and it was absolutely excellent. The food was fresh, well-presented, and really good quality, easily one of the better breakfasts I’ve had in a long time. The dining area was comfortable and welcoming, and everything came out quickly. A special shout-out to Radi, who was genuinely exceptional. Her service was warm, attentive, and incredibly professional. She made the whole experience stand out. Highly recommend dropping in here for breakfast and say hi to Radi!

17/09/2025: The location was amazing! Right in the middle of Oia which is perfect. The service was amazing. Kostas ( the owner) went above and beyond. He helped us with what to do, he booked us reservations, cab services and much more. He was there whenever you needed him. The rooms were good too!

20/11/2025: Enjoyed a lovely meal in a quiet elegant setting with great attentive staff. Vol au Vent was exquisite, Chicken Parmesan was light and delicious. Portion was good and quite filling. Enjoyable meal with Family

17/10/2025: Only popped in for post funeral food and I must say a beautifully decorated hotel. Extremely friendly and helpful staff and the meal, soup, roast beef and dessert were delicious 😋

17/08/2025: At the start of our service we were seated quickly and servers were inexperienced but pleasant. Service however is not the main fault . After ordering we were shocked by state at which are starters were presented the garlic mushrooms were burnt so badly they were black. So we asked for a waiter and just simply requested for another portion which wasn’t burnt after which they presented us with a non burnt portion of mushrooms however there was a living moving insect in the sauce of the side salad. After complaining for a second time due to the horrible food the manager came out and gave us the meal for free. However the meals we ordered for our mains were very lack luster . They presented us with two steaks one medium one medium well . The steaks had a lot of fat making a lot of it inedible and the mushrooms and onions were bathed in a sickening amount of grease . The potatoes were extremely smooth and tasted incredible and the gravy was excellent and so was there side vegetables. Overall , I would strongly recommend not going to this Restraunt as there chefs lack of care ruins the food . Also due to the bar being connected to the Restraunt section there is a lot of drunken individuals who behave poorly in the dining section.
