06/08/2025: Amazing little island. Un spoilt beautiful place to visit. Went twice plan to go back again soon. Stayed in Tigh Ruairi lovely friendly staff,food and service amazing 🤩. Thank you for an amazing time 💓.

12/08/2025: I brought my son today and we were about to walk in the door when one of the employees put up a sign saying they were closed "due to fine weather" I think thats ridiculous. These places need to be open so the kids can play indoors when it's too hot outside
11/08/2025: It was brilliant my boys certainly love it there. Lots of parking easy to find. Great friendly staff and somewhere to buy food also 👍

25/07/2025: We were with friends in your coffee shop yesterday. The atmosphere is very nice, the coffee and sconces are delicious . The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Special thanks to the ginger-haired girl on the till who was very polite and patient in helping me with my dessert selection. We will definitely come back to you again.
24/06/2025: Picked up a Too Good To Go bag via the app as we were driving through the village. Highly impressed with the quality of the food.

02/08/2025: I stayed for just one night in the rooms on the floor above the pub. The room was small but fully equipped. The atmosphere was clean. The ensuite bathroom had a hot, well-functioning shower. There was a kettle for heating water and making instant coffee or tea.
The only downside: there was no hairdryer provided (but I didn't even ask for one...).
The pub is very nice, frequented mostly by locals. It has a good selection of whiskeys.
01/07/2025: We didnt have any food so cannot comment. Friendly Staff, extremely clean room and very comfortable bed. Sadly we got a bit of extreme bad luck with the couple staying in WB Yeats Room. shouting, arguing, kicking doors. It was peaceful before they checked in and again before they got home from their night out. Such a Pity.

31/08/2025: Visited 27th Aug, for an evening meal. Very disappointed, given option veg OR potato, with Seabass Special, unheard of!! Wait staff could not explain reason.
29/08/2025: Stopped here on our way through and just wanted a coffee and maybe a cake at 2:30 in the afternoon.
All the tables outside had reserved signs. We sat down anyway, the entire place was empty.
The waiter was standing right in the entrance and saw us.
I went in anyway and asked if we had to order inside. I was told very clearly and sternly that we had to come inside first, otherwise we wouldn't be seen. Conclusion: OK coffee, good location, abysmal friendliness. We haven't experienced anything like it in all of Ireland.
P.S.: There are busy cafes around the corner – perhaps a sign? (Unfortunately, we saw this too late.)

The Beach, Days Bar and B&B
25/07/2025: Five stars due to having THREE vegan options on the menu! Had the excellent vegan pizza one evening and came back the next night for beetroot burger. After years of being vegan in Ireland, I never expect to be able to eat more than a bowl of chips and a side salad, so this was an amazing and delicious surprise. Had a few pints of the White Cow pale ale brewed on the island. Spacious pub, beautiful inside and out (picnic tables right on the water when the weather is cooperating) and lovely staff. Wonderful spot and look forward to returning in the future.
24/07/2025: Thanks to all the staff for a fabulous couple of nights last week. We love our trips to Boffin and are always made to feel very welcome. Hotel rooms are perfect, breakfast is excellent. We love the bar, the music and the craic.

14/08/2025: Terrible! After we ordered, they told us the place would close early (25 minutes earlier), so they put everything in a box and made us leave.
When I asked about the time change, they replied, "We've been here since 6:30."
...well... honestly, I don't change closing time once the order has been taken! Let them know first!!
I strongly advise against it!!!
12/08/2025: Fantastic local cafe with great service, staff friendly and professional. Swift service. Locals eat here, highlight for food in Cong for sure. Parking nearby. Don't forget to check out the ducks!
