The best restaurants in Galway

17/10/2025: We didn't stay here as we have a mortorhome. But we did eat here and I really must say the food is how it should be. .beautiful cooked wonderfully presented and i couldn't believe they make home made chips to perfection 👌 no frozen junk here .the staff really are down to earth 🌎 beautiful people. Thank you for your hospitality your service and your beautiful food . It really made this trip special.

06/10/2025: Lovely clean pub and friendly lady behind the bar. I was allowed in before their official opening time, I must've looked thirsty. Will visit again when I'm over next in April

28/10/2025: Centrally located in Clifden. Old fashioned, in the best sense, hotel. Comfortable spacious rooms and bathrooms. Large traditional bar, public spaces and dining room with many booths. Excellent food. Customers not rushed but the staff appeared to be - efficient nevertheless. Reputation locally is high.

17/08/2025: At the start of our service we were seated quickly and servers were inexperienced but pleasant. Service however is not the main fault . After ordering we were shocked by state at which are starters were presented the garlic mushrooms were burnt so badly they were black. So we asked for a waiter and just simply requested for another portion which wasn’t burnt after which they presented us with a non burnt portion of mushrooms however there was a living moving insect in the sauce of the side salad. After complaining for a second time due to the horrible food the manager came out and gave us the meal for free. However the meals we ordered for our mains were very lack luster . They presented us with two steaks one medium one medium well . The steaks had a lot of fat making a lot of it inedible and the mushrooms and onions were bathed in a sickening amount of grease . The potatoes were extremely smooth and tasted incredible and the gravy was excellent and so was there side vegetables. Overall , I would strongly recommend not going to this Restraunt as there chefs lack of care ruins the food . Also due to the bar being connected to the Restraunt section there is a lot of drunken individuals who behave poorly in the dining section.

05/11/2025: On a rainy Tuesday in Oranmore, this was a lovely place to go for breakfast or a scone and coffee. Very clean and great service. Good food too of course!

27/10/2025: The food was really good but weird experience, I got made to feel bad when I said I have an intolerance to eggs and asked to have avocado with my salmon instead. I get that it messed with the usual price but most places are understandable when it comes to intolerances.

07/01/2026: We had a small family gathering here with my elderly parents. We really enjoyed our stay. Fantastic experience in the Pullman restaurant. Excellent food and service.

27/08/2025: Was back in beautiful Connemara for my amazing beautiful nanny Mary Fallon s funeral we had the wake here want say thanks very much for the outstanding service and food by all the staff the beef was the best I have ever eaten and the staff were so welcoming and friendly,beautiful location will definitely be going back when I come over to visit my family in Cashel and clifden Connemara 🙏🇮🇪💚🙏

30/01/2026: The Claregalway Hotel is a comfortable place to stay just outside Galway city. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the hotel has good facilities such as a pool, gym, and restaurant. The rooms are spacious and generally clean, though some areas feel a little dated and could do with an update. Overall, it’s good value for money and a convenient base for exploring the surrounding area.

20/12/2024: Did Christmas market great people big covered space for use by patrons for family or corporate events. Community support is great and live music always a big bonus. The Owner and staff are so welcoming could not do enough for people and great atmosphere at end night when you fancy a night out in comfort with your friends..enjoy..
