16/10/2025: It might have been the time of day but I am 53 and I felt like the youngest person there by far. It is a nice pub and I will return. The Guinness was good and the food was good. A worthwhile stop. The bartender and the chef were very friendly and welcoming.

25/11/2025: A fantastic little find. The cafe is at the top of the main street in Cong. The food, prices and service was second to none. We had the breakfast and it set us up for the day.

10/12/2025: Great place to get pizzas. It's Halal too. Wanted to get the pizza extra spicy and staff offered to add on Jalapeño toppings for no extra cost. Might be better to order and have it delivered cause the shop is not that big for dine-ins. Loved it

15/11/2025: Do not bother with this place. I went when the restaurant was empty. They gave me a menu and then went to the back for a chat for almost 10 minutes. You could make your own lasgna in the time it takes to get food here. Also the prices are much higher than google photos

15/10/2025: My wife and I stopped in here for supper after seeing it earlier in the day and we were not disappointed. Everything was excellent, the atmosphere, food, and service were top notch. I would highly recommend the Tandoori Garlic Chilli Chicken and my wife would recommend the House Special Curry. A must visit if you are in Barna!

21/07/2025: Beautiful hotel! The room was comfortable and clean, the staff was welcoming and very hospitable, and the food at the on-site restaurant was great. It is a bit isolated, but if you're staying for a night or two, it's absolutely perfect. Plus, many of the rooms have a balcony - a very nice touch!

21/07/2025: Beautiful hotel. Spacious room, lovely setting. Easy check in. Friendly staff. Super clean, even the tv remote was in a plastic protector!! Used the leisure centre which was relaxing. Evening meal was gorgeous. Lovely spacious areas to sit and relax on all floors. Can not fault our stay.

09/11/2025: Best breakfast and lunch by far to get in athenry. Quality is consistent you can tell the food is always fresh. Little to no wait on the food, excellent prices. Could not fault it.

26/08/2025: Best breakfast we have had in Ireland! Lovely cafe, very welcoming and friendly to both 2 and 4 legged guests. The breakfast was delicious and so big we don’t need to eat for the rest of the day. Really super cafe and highly recommended.

27/07/2025: Found this bar on a trip up the River Shannon. We decided to go up the River Suck randomly and check out the town for the night. John was an amazing host, great bar and a beautiful town. Highly recommend a visit!

13/09/2025: Unfortunately, it's closed, although Google shows it as open. Apparently, it's completely closed, not just closed for the winter (according to the landlady of PDans Pub).

30/06/2025: We ate here on both of our evenings in the beautiful village of Portmagee. Magnificent seafood, I had hake here on one night and John Dory the second - both fantastic. We all ate well and had a visit from the friendly owner making sure all was well. As an aside, we also had breakfast here, again it was excellent. All servers were friendly, helpful and attentive. I could not recommend this restaurant/Balmore highly.

13/06/2025: We spent a week driving around eating at some really great restaurants in Ireland, but this one was one of the absolute best. An amazing surprise, considering the few choices in this town for food. Everything was done with fresh, quality ingredients and with a great attention to detail. Just a great surprise and an amazing lunch. Best brown bread I had in Ireland. The lamb shanks and the stew are highly recommended.

07/12/2025: Terrible service . We've booked a table for 3 o'clock , took our orders at 3:17 p.m and food was served one hour later . They never offered menu for desserts or coffees . On my way out and after paying full bill without anyone apologising, told the floor manager ( some lady with very poor management skills ) we had to wait for the food 1 hour and she answered the printer didn't work and they were busy coz they had a function .I think that we were customers too. The restaurant side was almost empty ( 3 tables ) and they couldn't take notice of us . Try to avoid next time .

05/12/2025: I am a frequent visitor here, enjoying weekly lunches with my women's group friends and family dinners with my grandchildren. The service is consistently wonderful, making every visit an enjoyable experience. Frank, the kind and wonderful host, deserves special mention. For anyone seeking a classic Irish pub dinner menu filled with traditional favorites, this location offers great food and excellent hospitality.

16/10/2025: Recommended by the place we were staying around the corner and was a perfect spot for my daughter and me on our little getaway. I never order pasta when I’m out for a meal but we both ordered pasta dishes and we were both very happy with our dinner and the whole experience. Very relaxed and welcoming. One thing to note is they accept cash only.
