27/09/2025: Here you can eat real Italian pizza! The place is very small, and even though it was closing, Antonio prepared some takeout pizzas for us (which we ate on the waterfront) and told us his story. His place and his pizzas embody the culture of Italy and Naples.

14/08/2025: We stopped at this pizzeria on our Ireland road trip. After days of Irish food, we luckily stumbled upon Antonio's pizzeria. Wonderful guy and excellent pizza!!

30/10/2025: We found fantastic food and a cosy room with a sunset view at this place for our one-night visit to Inishbofin during the off season. The ferry arrived a few hours before check-in and they allowed us to drop our bags off early so we could hike around. The bed was extremely comfortable. Adrian couldn’t have been kinder and even connected me with a book that helped me find some details about my ancestry on the island. The bar/restaurant served excellent food and even had a veggie burger for me, which is not something I expect even on the mainland! Don’t hesitate to book here.

02/01/2026: We are eating in this place several times per year and it always was great. After yesterday’s experience I kinda started to doubt my senses. Tasteless blank seafood chowder and fries that gave me an impression of very abused grease. Guys, what happened to your chef??? Waitress did her best to cheer me up, she was lovely but the front desk guy gave me that look that I immediately felt unwelcome. Smiles costs nothing. I know you can do better than that. A pot of mussels helped a little but I doubt we will be back any time soon. Such a shame.

28/12/2025: We went as a last minute booking of a 6 ,costly for ok average food although large portions , not always necessary. Not sure all was homemade. Staff very friendly. food was served very quickly no time to rest between courses , felt we were being rushed. Overall ok

27/08/2025: Was back in beautiful Connemara for my amazing beautiful nanny Mary Fallon s funeral we had the wake here want say thanks very much for the outstanding service and food by all the staff the beef was the best I have ever eaten and the staff were so welcoming and friendly,beautiful location will definitely be going back when I come over to visit my family in Cashel and clifden Connemara 🙏🇮🇪💚🙏

09/01/2026: A lovely pub; just the place to grab a hot drink after a rainy day. The owner behind the bar was friendly and fun to talk to. Also, I forgot a water bottle when I left and the owner asked another patron to try and return it to me if they found me, and they did! So I’d say that’s just another testament to the quality of The Bar and its staff.

01/01/2026: We were looking for a full Irish pub experience and this bar was a really good choice. Not too crowded but great atmosphere. The only downside was that there was no music in the background, other than that, very cozy and Irish-aesthetic pub!

29/08/2025: I booked the fairy pig walk and planned to propose to my boyfriend as he really loves pigs. Mary was amazing and helped me organize everything. She sent me videos beforehand so that I knew where to go with him, let Emilia the pig deliver the ring to my boyfriend and took pictures and videos for us. We got to do the walk, meet all of the other animals and even got to meet the piglets. Marys and Roys kindness made this day special and we will always remember it with a smile. Thank you for everything!

26/08/2025: From the moment we entered, Mary made us feel so welcome and meet us on the car park. My daughter Emelia is obsessed with pigs so this was her dream come through. Emelia got to meet Emilia the pig. Emilia was very calm on the fairy walk and Mary has her well trained to stop for pictures and videos. We then went to meet Apollo the pig and learnt how to brush and act around the mini pigs. We then went into the mini pigs which were so friendly and loved a belly rub. We meet the other animals and fed them they were all so friendly. Thank you we had the best day ever , ten out of ten ❤️🐷🐽🥰

01/03/2026: Horrendous customer service from the reservations executive Paul. Having experienced a hellish few months we were looking forward to our stay, however due to personal and serious circumstances we had to reschedule. Unfortunately Glenlo would not do this and were extremely unhelpful. However having read reviews about Glenlo,no empathy and bad customer service seem to be a common theme in this establishment. There are much nicer hotels on the island of Ireland than here and would recommend people/tourists stay elsewhere and spend their money elsewhere.
