The best restaurants in Clifden

11/03/2025: I don't understand the draw to this pub, the bartender barely spoke a word to anyone, drinks were expensive and it just was not welcoming at all. I've been all over Ireland and truly this was the least welcoming pub I've been in. If they have food, I didn't see any nor was I offered a menu for any, Just Taytos and Pringles hanging on the wall. I would not recommend this place to anyone and I wouldn't return.

17/03/2025: A luxury authentic old world hotel with superb personalised service! Reminds me of the Ritz's, I visited 20 years ago which had a similar feel with the quality of service. Rooms, views, gardens, food, classical piano at dinner and further musical entertainment in bar after dinner. In a world where hotels are more efficient than personal, this hotel stands alone. From the lovely lady in reception to service staff, the experience is warm, inviting and genuine. The rooms are not your typical instead lots of character and spotlessly clean. One feels really taken care of and this is due to the attentive owners who are present everywhere. This is so rare and it ripples throughout to the happy staff. Thank you Brian and Abbeyglen staff for a beautiful fun experience. We will be back soon!

20/03/2025: Everything I ordered was excellent. From the calamari and seafood chowder to the burger and seafood pie. The atmosphere was calm and cozy, considering it was mid-March, but perfect for a chat. I absolutely recommend it!

14/03/2025: Lovely little restaurant.i dined here for my full Irish breakfast before heading back to Donegal after camping in clifden ego beech ,I have been coming to connamera for About 20 years now and this is my go to for my full Irish .it was so yummie devious and fresh staff come to the table pretty quick very friendly staff at that. If it's a nice Irish breakfast your after this is the place to come to.i have often eaten here in the evening for a to die for fish and chips.scrumpious staff lovely and friendly.i can't fault it lovely grub all round.

01/03/2025: Superb fish and chips. My sister ordered the special of beef roast and potatoes. Very hard to cut with knife given and gristly.

07/04/2025: Outstanding in every way! Squeezed us in without a booking. Food was delightful. Locally sourced Irish ingredients cooked with a twist to bring out the flavours and to really give the tastebuds a treat. Deserving of all the 5 star Reviews.

07/04/2025: Fabulous lunch at Mitchell’s today. Wonderful fresh oysters, delicious open prawn and smoked salmon sandwich on wheaten bread. Great service.

07/03/2025: I stopped here for lunch and had one of my favorite meals while in Ireland! Their mushroom soup was divine, never tasted a better mushroom soup. I had tea and a persimmon dessert, both were delectable and all for a good price. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made my little afternoon in Clifden really standout.

12/02/2025: Ravi's is without doubt one of the finest bar/restaurants that you could possibly hope to eat in! Ravi himself is a culinary genius and gentleman and Patrick makes a great front of house host. The staff are all.brillaimt there. There is also an outdoor area you can eat in which overlooks Clifden Harbour, offering spectacular views. Our lads (both teens) love the food there too. This is one of our all time favourite places to spend an evening, amazing food at a reasonable price.

11/03/2025: Room was lovely with local wool lap blankets in the bed. Construction started at 930 Saturday morning with drilling against exterior wall. Pool and wet steam room was amazing! Hard to find entrance (because of construction at back maybe!?)

14/03/2025: Excellent meal, the crab and prawn croquetta starter was fantastic and was served with a delicious asian salad. Main of duck breast with treacle black pudding and beetroot perfectly cooked and house sav blanc and merlot top quality. Cannot recommend highly enough.

06/02/2025: We had a delicious meal here and everything was excellent. The mushroom risotto was very nice and the affogato for dessert. Staff were lovely too!

14/11/2024: Beautiful shop and selection of local and imported goods. Fresh and made to order lunch menu, and great coffee. Very friendly owners. Happy to have stumbled into this shop on our trip around Connemara.
