29/03/2024: Came back second time today, got a long waiting given the holiday and staff number. Waitress was so polite, really welcoming! We ordered two cappuccinos and it wasn’t on us due to our waiting time. 100% excellent experience, amazing food!

Shack Restaurant

Dublin
05/04/2024: We visited this restaurant to experience the irish stew a well know dish in Dublin . Omg what a great disappointment . It consisted of some lamb scrag end with one half of a potato a couple of bits of 🥕 in some kind of colourless tasteless liquid and some kind of irish bread you could use as a door stop . With a very small glass of wine and a pint of Guinness for my partner and the bill was £70 . Other people complaining of very small portions at the same time . I would avoid this place at all costs . This is a very honest opinion . The first response from the owner stated i was talking verbal vomit abuse but i see he has since removed that statement . I am not a food critic .just s member of the public that likes to tell the truth .i have not embellished any of my views of my visit . And to reply to what the manager has told you is a little stretch from the truth ..
05/04/2024: Very nice small restaurant opposite The Temple Bar, very friendly staff and food quality was excellent.

DeVille's

Dublin
09/03/2024: Excellent meal had by all. Always good. Tiny little bit cramped and a tad too expensive though....can't knock it.
18/02/2024: Excellent restaurant on the main street in Dalkey. We took advantage of the good weather last Friday & visited Dalkey. Came across this restaurant & were lucky to get a table for lunch which is served from around 12 to 3 pm. Our table was in a small area opposite a very busy kitchen but we would have preferred the front area as it seemed to have all the buzz. Food was very good. My wife had a steak sandwich & the meat was done perfectly. I had the hake which was beautiful & light. The waiting staff were so friendly. Definitely a must visit place but book in advance.

Wuff

Dublin
31/03/2024: Great brunch spot, we went on Easter sunday 10 mins after opening time so had to be put on a waitlist.. we had to wait 15-20 mins but we just went somewhere near to grab a coffee it is definitely busy so come early. The food is good but i wouldn’t wait any longer than 20 mins to try the food, glad the portions were big and staff were very attentive, but nothing extraordinary
30/03/2024: Amazing for gluten free. Queued outside for less than 5 mins on Good Friday. Whole gluten free menu, really quick, lovely staff. We had a great time !

The Vintage Kitchen

Dublin
04/04/2024: What a treat to discover this place! Service was fantastic. It is worth the price as the food is absolutely divine and big portion sizes! Do yourself a favour and order the lamb shank 10/10
03/04/2024: Outstanding. We went on the weekend and had the fixed price menu (I think that is all they offer for dinner). But there was not a thing on the menu that we would not have wanted. We had the Fois Grois, and the Cajun Seafood Chowder. Both were excellent and more than enough for a meal! We followed this with the Fillet of Beef (a beautiful peice of meat, cooked perfectly) and the Duck. I have never had such a large and tasty peice of duck! By the time we polished that off - we couldn't even squeeze in coffee! Make sure you book well ahead.

Ariel House

Dublin
01/04/2024: Amazing hotel, with really nice rooms. Good service and kind staff. Room had all needed furniture and even some tea/coffee. Beddings, towels, robes, slippers were present. (Nice point we had 2 eu adapted chargers and 4 usb). On breakfast there were some ready-made options (like cereal, bread, muffins, fruits) and the actual breakfast options from menu with waitresses ready to consult regarding allergies.
24/03/2024: Charming little 4* hotel at the foot of the Aviva Stadium with small private parking. We are far from the city center, so taxis are necessary, but what peace and quiet, even on match day. There are still the first pubs and restaurants 400m away on foot. You feel good and at home, with attentive staff available on site 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Hospitality and customer service continue on the other side of the Channel and that is very pleasant. Don't be fooled by the small space reserved for breakfast within a glass roof: it is plentiful, with lots of choice and well-made dishes, which will allow you to postpone or even skip a meal if necessary. Please note that the establishment does not offer lunch or dinner. A lounge/relaxation area at the entrance is very nice, with large armchairs and sofas, as well as various items available: board games, pastries, coffee/tea, water, newspaper, electrical outlets, etc. The rooms are of good quality with decent bedding, equipped with telephone, coffee maker, connected television, numerous sockets, bath/shower, but there are 2 notable points of improvement: *there appears to be no airflow, making it difficult to ventilate. The only opening is through the window which opens too little, knowing that the one in the bathroom seems boarded up. There is no air conditioning either, but I think the days in the year where it would be useful are numbered (heating by cast iron radiator). *the bathroom/WC lacks finishing and modernity, so improvement work is necessary, knowing that we would like separate WCs. The shower system is particular, but once you understand, everything is fine ;) I will definitely go back if I have to go back to the Aviva Stadium!
