23/02/2025: Lovely pub and restaurant with breathtaking views out the back. The front along the road is a very traditional pub style, while the back is more for dining. There is outdoor seating in the form of picnic benches and I assume that during the summer, this place gets packed. There is a fair amount of parking available in the back, but also along the road. Lunchtime in February was quiet, but the food was good and the pints were perfectly poured. Go for the views and the authentic Irish experience.

26/01/2025: Really bad experience! We were repeat customers and had really high hopes.We had booked for a table of 8 almost 2 weeks in advance, we arrived at our allocated time and went up to the host stand to let them know that we were here, we were immediately met with hostility, the manager Mark approached me and said “absolutely not no walk ins reservations only” I let him know we had a reservation and he said “oh yea,how?” I told him I made it online and went to find out booking confirmation, he didn’t even acknowledge what I said and just stormed off, when he came back a few mins later he screamed at my whole party in front of the restaurant “if yere even thinking about having a drink we better have ID”, we were eventually sat down however everyone was uncomfortable and wanted to leave- if we could have guaranteed that we would get a table of 8 in another restaurant we would have left but we couldn’t. The entire time we were being watched by other waitresses to report back to Mark what we were saying and doing. To make the experience worse dogs were left into the restaurant but they didn’t want us there. Olga our server was trying to compensate for her managers rude behavior and she provided wonderful service however this was over shadowed by the feeling of being unwelcome Will not be returning again

30/12/2024: We were in the danny mann for 14 of us and although they were very busy, the manager accommodated us on two separate tables. The food was out of this world and the service was top class. The staff were rushed off their feet as every seat was full. It was a great afternoon and we would highly recommend it.

04/01/2025: Went there twice recently and it's a definite for anyone visiting Killarney. One of the best whiskey collections you could wish to see and the staff and atmosphere were brilliant. You can bottle your own whiskey which is really cool. Didn't have food just drinks but the food looked excellent as well.

29/01/2025: Stayed 2 nights a group of 13, fabulous hotel, convenient to everything as in Town,bus and train station across road, lovely cosy super comfy hotel,food excellent and staff excellent, 👌,could not do enough for customers ,and of course Mike who provides entertainment,and creates super atmosphere

31/12/2024: We were amazed with the food at Solas. Very attentive staff. Beautifully presented. The only problem which isn't their fault was a large group who were extremely loud. It's such a small, intimate place that the noise level is pretty bad.

17/12/2024: After the ridiculously expensive "meal" we had in Solas last week we won't be going back ever again.This place is like the Emperor's new clothes. The prices have reached a mocking their customers level and the quantity and quality of the food,a lot of deep fried food,has been lowered significantly. Know where your food comes from indeed.Combine this with the price of the wine,(they should be ashamed of the mark up per glass) and you not only feel hangry leaving but you also feel like you've just been mugged.

23/01/2025: All staff are very friendly and accommodating. Very nice, spotless and cosy rooms. Delicious food and drink in the restaurant, highly recommend the Scampi and the Guinness!

16/12/2024: Absolutely delicious and a perfect place to take a break while doing the ring of kerry! The atmosphere was awesome, service was fantastic, and the food was phenomenal!
