20/10/2024: We had a delicious meal. I recommend the seafood tagliatelle with generous elements of salmon, prawns, monkfish, and crab claws in a fine white sauce. There was a lively atmosphere, attentive and friendly service.

03/11/2024: After convincing my husband to try tapas unfortunately we were very disappointed although the 2 'med' bits were tasty they were way over priced!! We also ordered the fish stew 'large' this was very disappointing! Fish was over cooked! Over all quantity and quality are definitely not worth the prices here! We felt ripped off😥

30/10/2024: We randomly stopped by at 530 looking for a table for 2 and they squeezed us in. Amazing atmosphere, superb food, great service. If I had to eat just one meal for the rest of my life their croquettes would be my choice —- they were so delicious

30/11/2024: A few years ago, I wrote that these pub was lucky to not be invaded by tourist groups, and that was right for more than twelve years we know the place. Unfortunately, from the moment the former owners got a well deserved retirement, things have changed. And today, we local people were chased away for to leave the place for a tourist group 😡. After this bad experience, we decided to return in winter and found back the lovely place we love, so I change my rating... But we'd rather avoid this place in summer.

17/11/2024: Éramos una fiesta de cuatro, dos adultos y dos niños. En primer lugar nos sorprendió encontrar el restaurante lleno a las 3. 30 de la tarde, pero un miembro del personal muy acogedor dijo que haría todo lo posible para encontrarnos un espacio y en pocos minutos estábamos sentados. Obviamente había estado muy ocupado durante el almuerzo, así que no todo en el menú estaba disponible, pero nuestro servidor ofreció muy buenos sustitutos tanto para adultos como para niños. Todo lo que pedimos estaba recién cocinado y muy bien servido con algunos toques agradables como una porción gratuita de patatas fritas. Pudín de café pegajoso para el desierto era de primera clase y buenos cafés con leche redondearon una excelente comida. Fue fácil ver por qué el lugar estaba tan ocupado. Obviamente la gente local sabe lo bueno que es y disfruta de una agradable experiencia gastronómica

08/11/2024: Acabo de tener uno de los especiales: Tocino y col con salsa de crema de perejil, puré de papa, col y swede. Atendido por una camarera húngara adorable. Estaba delicioso. Muy recomendable, aunque no un servicio rápido.

31/10/2024: Afternoon tea I had been looking forward to it for a long time. We sat in the reception lobby. The sandwiches were delicious, as was the rest. The service was friendly.

06/11/2024: Very rude. They made us leave the table while we were still eating to seat other people. I finished dinner (dessert) on a small table in the entrance which was used to place the menus and orders. The food was nothing special.

29/11/2024: We stumbled upon fish box when looking for a last minute table, for 6 people on a windy, wet night! They couldn't squeeze us in straight away but told us to wait 25 mins and recommended a great bar up the road to try while we waited. The staff were so friendly and fun and we felt really welcome! The menu was great, loads of gluten free options and varied selection of dishes. Everyone in our party really enjoyed it!

25/11/2024: Excellent service, attentive and the fish is out of this world delicious. The fish cakes are full of fish, shrimp and so very good. Everything was fresh, not greasy and seasoned to perfection. It's affordable especially when traveling. Highly recommend.

15/10/2024: We visited the restaurant last August, eager to try the menu, but unfortunately, we didn’t have the opportunity. After waiting for 50 minutes, we decided to leave due to the treatment we received from the man managing the waiting list. His behavior was very very rude, disrespectful, and condescending, which made our experience very unpleasant. It seems from other reviews that this isn’t an isolated incident. It might be helpful for him to consider improving his approach to customer service, possibly through additional training in handling situations calmly and courteously.

28/11/2024: Very cosy, friendly people. Beautifull view (also with bad weather). We had the fish and chips, very crispy! :)

03/11/2024: This loop has very limited dining menu, so it’s great to find this restaurant. Menu is a bit limited but good dish.
