20/03/2025: The best restaurant I've ever been to in Ireland! Excellent, well-presented food, and a very welcoming waiter. I definitely recommend it!

15/03/2025: We had a delicious meal in Sage last night. Eva very kindly contacted me when a cancellation table became available and we were so delighted to have the opportunity to eat at Sage again. The specials - starter and main - were so flavoursome and there was a great selection of wine. The service was excellent, as always. It was a really delicious dining experience. We’ll be back again for sure.

26/02/2025: The experience was so wonderful. The food was easily the best food I have had in my entire life. I ordered the sea bass ravioli, my mom and dad ordered the carbonara and the stuffed chicken. We ended up ordering Tiramisu as well and that was the best dessert I've ever had. The waitstaff are the nicest people you'll ever meet and work to make sure all your needs are met. Lovely decorum and a cozy restaurant to make the evening end perfectly

19/02/2025: A super cute restaurant. It was completely full downstairs, but fortunately there was another room upstairs with a few tables. The food was very tasty and of good quality. Super nice people!

03/03/2025: What a fabulous restaurant with delicious food and fantastic staff! 10 of us dined there on Friday 28th Feb! Such a lovely atmosphere and the food is amazing. Such a varied menu and portions were so generous. I had the chowder which was delicious and so tasty (you should see the size of the cup I opted for instead of the bowl of chowder ! It was huge) The pan friend chicken was delightful with huge portions of veg etc . All enjoyed the delicious food and praised it highly along with the lovely staff who went out of their way to add to such a lovely evening! A lovely atmosphere there. We will be back again! Well done to all who make this restaurant such a brilliant place to dine!! One of the best we have experienced!

17/03/2025: Fabulous weekend at the Nevin Inn. Owner John and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. Food is excellent. Scenery around the Nevin is spectacular. So recommend a stay at the Nevin inn 👌 So easy for visiting Achill Island and Westport area.

17/03/2025: We stayed for 2 nights at Nevis in the lodge, which is next door to the bar and restaurant. When we arrived we were greeted by a lady at reception who was absolutely lovely and so so helpful. She brought us to our room which was in the lodge. To be honest I was blown away by it. It was absolutely gorgeous and looked newly decorated. It was like a 5-star hotel. We had breakfast in the morning in the bar/restaurant which was spotlessly clean and had two cosy fires on. The staff were so friendly and the food delicious. I really can’t praise Nevins enough. It really is a little jewel in the crown. If you are visiting and staying around the Newport/Mulranny area I highly recommend it. We’ve already pre-booked a stay for September which we can’t wait for! Thanks to everyone at Nevins for making our stay perfect. See you in September!

16/03/2025: I don't know how to express how special this stay was. The beautiful castle is like stepping into another era, the staff are universally exceptional - warm, welcoming, professional and exceptionally hard working. Staying here was an experience I'll never forget and I hope I can go back for every special occasion I have to celebrate! The restaurant is worth travelling to whether you stay or not - I've only had this level of service, food & atmosphere simultaneously a handful of times in my life. The rooms are luxury and elegance. The bed, pillows and linen were a cocoon after a long drive, and the next morning I woke up at dawn to birdsong. Treat yourself to a stay here; it's an experience that's become almost extinct.

25/02/2025: We came here to check out the venue before our wedding - we had a fabulous room. The beds were so comfy and the breakfast was delicious 😋 The staff are very friendly and helpful and the bar serves a great pint of Guinness!

10/03/2025: Went for an anniversary meal for four on Saturday evening. The service was first class, the waiter and waitress were amazing. The food was out of this world, best meal for years, will be booking for when we are in Ireland again.

20/02/2025: Food is top notch, staff are brilliant, wine list is really good, couldn’t recommend The Dining Room more. It’s been a couple of years since my last visit and I definitely won’t leave it as long until next time. Great value for the standard of the meal

09/02/2025: Lovely small country pub. Had a Guinness while waiting to be seated in the bar area watching the rugby. Cosy spot. Once seated we all had Sunday lunch and from the starters to the dessert everything was lovely. Food was tasty and staff very friendly. Will definitely be back again.

15/03/2025: This is a MUST place to go if you are in Ballina! The food is beyond excellent, the portion size are very big and generous, super tasty and delicious food and the menu is super diverse so there’s something for everyone’s taste. Will definitely come again!

12/02/2025: Food is absolutely delicious me and my partner love coming here as the portions are well done , and we always leave stuffed ! Your paying for what your getting . The only down side would be the service we like to sit in the back the poet room and we make it knowing to the waiters/waitresses each time but they always seem to forget about us and we have to keep getting up asking for bits , no one to check how where getting on etc , the place could definitely do with a refurbishing .

12/03/2025: Real and honest review as a returning customer. I have been here multiple times for sit in and takway. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, but the drinks are a hit or a miss. Their staples are definitely hot chocolate and latte. They are smooth and consistently great. Matcha is a very popular drink, when it comes to popular/new items, I feel like they’re overpriced. I tried their matcha (around €5 ish), and it was a letdown. I ordered the strawberry-flavored one I think they used a syrup, and it stuck to the cup. Once I managed to mix it in, the syrup completely overpowered the matcha flavor that was alredy weak. I also got an iced coffee, but it wasn’t cold enough. There was barely any ice, which made the drink lukewarm instead of refreshing. For better quality Matcha and a reasonable price, I’d recommend trying other places around Ballina. I understand rising costs, and with that in mind, I do still think some items shouldn't be sooooo expensive. I will not be a returning customer. 🙏

07/11/2024: Without a doubt the best coffee house in Ballina. The staff is both cafes are always very pleasant, and recommend something new to try if there’s a new menu. We are loyal customers to here for years and will continue to be. Can’t wait for the Christmas menu already

21/02/2025: A charming place, with a great surprise because they have a variety of fish. What is missing in many restaurants. I will return for sure. By the way, everything was very delicious and the service was incredible. Another place to discover Ireland.
