09/08/2025: It was the most delicious meal that I have ever eaten. I will be dreaming of the beef strip tagliatelle, followed by the chocolate mousse for many years to come.

16/08/2025: A great place to stop for a typical Irish breakfast! The welcome is very warm, the service is fast, and the food is really good! The café is quite small, but fortunately, it has a terrace, so it doesn't feel too cramped. A must-visit spot if you're in Westport!

01/09/2025: I found the food disappointing. I expected more for the price. The amuse-bouche was served with a cloche and smoke, lots of smoke around a crisp with a tasteless cheese filling. The starter was mussels and fish, the sauces didn't match, and the red caviar didn't make it any better. The main course was Irish beef; the meat was good, but the sauce tasted sour and of nothing else. The vegetables were completely unseasoned and not well presented; for example, the carrots were unpeeled. The service was okay. I just felt like it was missing that certain something. The restaurant also looked a bit dingy, with electrical wires in the corner that could have been hidden. It was more like a pub, as it was very loud. They probably need better insulation. All in all, there are a few things that could be improved.

15/08/2025: Stayed at Belleek castle for my birthday. Love the outside and gothic vibe of the castle including all of the woodwork features. But I do think it needs some more upkeep to function as a hotel and not just a museum. I was told in an email they would leave a dessert plate for me in the room but there was none there upon arrival, also the windows were left open letting in flys. The bay window had mould which instantly triggered my allergies didn’t make for the best stay. The vanity area is in a dark corner with no chair and had a coffee machine and fan on it so no where for me to do my makeup and get ready as the sink in the bathroom was tiny. Our room was front facing so anyone coming in the entrance could see up when parking, we booked a garden view room but got a front view room only the bathroom had a partial garden view, very misleading.. The shower was disgusting very dirty and looked old it really should be replaced it was either really hot or cold. I loved the bed the detailing is gorgeous but the mattress dipped down and felt like it was from 2003. We didn’t have a good sleep in the bed. Breakfast in the cafe was really good great portion size and bar area stunning too, no cocktail menu but the worker did offer to make any cocktail we wanted. Overall the hotel needs more personal touches, no slippers or welcome card either.

12/07/2025: We tried one of each baked treat that was available: cinnamon bun, orange cake, chocolate sea salt cookie and a scone of course. The cinnamon bun was sooo good we circled back and got four more. We all agreed it is the best one we have ever had! The cookie and scone were amazing as well, and so was the orange cake in all fairness. And all made with sourdough starter 🥰

19/08/2025: Lovely food, great service and lots of menu choices. We had burgers, chicken tenders quessidias and salads. Lots of eastern Mediterranean choices also. Will definitely return

08/09/2025: The location is great and I really enjoyed eating here a few years back however after a few recent visits I can definitely say the food has gone downhill unfortunately and nothing tastes that fresh anymore and it even arrives pretty cold. I ordered the starter of wedges and it was literally a few frozen bagged wedges with cheese on top for over 10 euro. I kind of expected more but if your expectations are very low you might enjoy it. The service is good but the wait is long if they’re busy. The only thing still going for this place is the atmosphere and the location as they get a lot of people on the greenway.
