The best restaurants in Sligo

03/02/2026: Food is unreal. Plus great atmosphere. Celebrated a birthday dinner here recently and its perfect for a group of friends sharing lots of plates. I've been here a few times and it never disappoints!

02/02/2026: Very Tay food spot in Strandhill. Their beans. Options are fantastic - highly recommend the crispy aubergine. Scallops cooked to perfection with very tasty puree. Highly recommend the cider Basque cider. Would love to see more of that style in Ireland.

01/02/2026: Arrived there recently for a few drinks i didn't stay to long as the front bar resembled a dog show, there was 6 dogs roaming around the front bar with their owners very off putting especially inna premises that serves food.

01/02/2026: There are so many lovely and amazing bars here in Sligo. Swagman is my favorite. After a near decade of drinking here I'm proud to call it my local. If you want to experience a true "Irish pub" come to the Swag, great staff, great food and lots of local craft beer to choose from :) LGBTQ ally x

27/01/2026: I had a tasty dinner in coach lane recently I had a steak with a mojito and I really enjoyed it. Unfortunately the service was disappointing at best as I was severed by a young man called James/Jamie who I felt was quite rude and ignorant throughout the night it felt he didn’t want to be there at all.

17/01/2026: We stayed here in between Christmas and New Year. Extremely family friendly. Our child was welcomed with a gift bag. Lovely touch. There was a kids inflatable course on the swimming pool. It was amazing. The staff were extremely friendly, especially the house keeping staff. The food in the restaurant was reasonably priced and amazing. The service was first class. Raving about this Hotel to family and friends... it's an absolute must with young kids.

11/01/2026: Lovely lunch. Excellent menu. A few more staff on the floor and counter would be good. They seemed to to overwhelmed. But certainly not their fault. Staff pleasant and efficient.

14/12/2025: Probably the best burger in Sligo. We had the American Dream called burger Rebel burger and cheese curry chips. Everything was beautiful especially the burgers! Negative side that they are open only from 3pm...

05/02/2026: Honestly one of the best Asian restaurants we’ve been to. Great atmosphere on a weekday to start with, followed by a great variety of dishes with many vegan options. We were so surprised when our food came: the portions are massive and so tasty. Price was so cheap we couldn’t believe it. The waiter was really lovely, we didn’t get his name but trully so friendly and genuine. We were sad the second day we were in Sligo it was closed, I actually wanted to take some of their food to Dublin haha. Overall, great experience, highly recommend.

11/11/2025: Love this hotel got a fantastic balcony room it was outstanding got a lovely treat as we were celebrating 40th wedding anniversary, the hotel is so central in Sligo, private parking underneath hotel a small fee for secure parking. Our meal was beautiful and breakfast was outstanding too can’t wait to go back. The hotel staff was outstanding and attentive great hotel to visit.
