The best restaurants in Sligo

07/06/2026: One of the best tapas I've had. Highly recommend it. Well worth a visit. Food was so fresh and full of flavour. Great views of the sea from the balcony.

04/06/2026: Had an amazing meal here tonight. Not my first time either. Every time I’ve visited I’ve left both full and impressed! Delicious food with lovely accompanying sauces and garnish. Desserts are top notch too. Service excellent 😊

07/06/2026: Shells Cafe is an absolute gem on Strandhill beach. It’s facing the ocean. Food is amazing and super tasty. Very very busy place so be ready for the queue. Again it’s busy for a reason. It does kill the atmosphere sometime when you see crying kids and people on top of each other. lol. Everything they serve is outstanding tho so it’s worth it. They are very famous for their TREACLE Bread, always get sold within 1 hour😁 I even ask for their bread recipe and they did give it to me 😂 Lovely friendly staff. Highly recommended.

17/05/2026: Literally one of the best burgers I've ever had. The staff where incredible, super fast service, super friendly.

07/05/2026: Although not labelled on their menu; most of the burgers can be made gluten free and the fries/chips are gluten free too! Maybe in the top 3 best burgers I’ve ever had. It was all balanced so well. They also had a GF IPA so celiacs are welcome here! The staff all seem like they’re great friends and the manager Paddy is a really nice fella who clearly cares about people’s experience. The only negative part of my experience was at the end of my meal realizing that I won’t be able to eat here again until my next trip to Ireland. My partner has a normal stomach and also LOVED her meal! You guys earned a loyal Canadian customer today, you have my deepest gratitude for just “doing it right”!

15/06/2026: This restaurant is fantastic. The food is the best authentic Korean that I have had in Ireland. Also the toilets are possibly the cleanest I've maybe ever been in which is a great sign . We had the carnival dish which is a.smorgas board of mixed sushi and salad . That plus a bowl of kimchi was enough for us both . I watched the front of house interaction with customers and I am certain she is a very very nice person and does a great job it was good to see . We cannot wait to go back there.

15/06/2026: Haven't seen such friendly staff for a good while. Food was delicious. Hidden gem 💎 in the middle of town. Definitely coming back to try more foods, and honestly advising to give it a try for anyone, even kids. Top spot not only in Sligo, but also in whole Ireland.

18/05/2026: I brought a group of 15 women from Canada, and we had such a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, the service was warm and welcoming, and our whole group had such a great time together. And the fire was absolute perfection, especially after a cold hike up Knocknarea. 🔥 Thank you for the wonderful hospitality, we will definitely be back! ❤️

24/05/2026: We had originally been looking for a nice place to eat on occasion in Sligo and had missed this place as it happens. Other places were quite disappointing service and food wise, however Molly Fultons is a clear exception. The team at the restaurant are very good, pleasant and professional but do a fantastic job with everything service wise. We have dined in the Bar also, which was very good with no major difference bar a cozy pub atmosphere. Everything here is on point, I have had the habit to go for the same thing over a period of months and was not once disappointed, now opting for other menu options nothing changed as the quality and excellence is present everywhere on their menu. I can highly recommend this place for families and even smaller groups, though it is vital to book in advance when possible as they are popular locally. Managers here are very kind and always so polite and chatty which makes the whole experience even better. Usually see them out on the floor working hard with their team which is a sign of good leadership anywhere. 10/10 will be back many times in the future.

12/05/2026: A Lovely Restaurant just outside of Sligo. The Breakfast is great value, and the Dinners are delicious. Very well priced and the staff are excellent.

09/06/2026: Popped in for a quick lunch while passing by. Had the most delicious house salad woth goats cheese. My most favourite salad, and this was by far the best. The staff were very friendly and attentive. I only wish I live locally so I could pop in more often.

16/05/2026: Was excited about the thought of coming here do booked on our way to Sligo. Was really disappointed in the menu choices that had mismatched flavours and seemed gimmicky. The fish was relatively tasteless especially combined with a strongly flavoured capsicum, saffron and tomato risotto. Have tasted far better seafood in other coastal places in Ireland. The balance of what was used in their menu lacked the skills if good cuisine. The desert was hilarious but also flavourless. All in all this was a gourmet disappointment that was expensive and not worth it. Be warned! The staff also seemed disinterested in their work. Head to Doolin if you want fresh and interesting local cuisine.

05/05/2026: I really wanted to love Eala Bhán — the presentation is genuinely beautiful and clearly takes effort. Every plate looks like a piece of art. But beyond the visuals, the experience just didn’t deliver. The “Wild Atlantic Way” starter (€18.95) was essentially one fish ball, one scallop, and one langoustine. Portion-wise, it felt more like a tasting bite than a starter — and taste-wise it was only okay, nothing memorable. The main (“Boat Comes In” €39.95) was even more disappointing: two tiny pieces of fish in a seaside town, with a small portion of rice that was heavily over-sauced. For €40, both the quantity and quality felt off. For comparison, the fish and chips at The Harp Tavern nearby were far more satisfying, more flavourful, and costed €16. Overall: visually impressive, but the food itself was just fair and the portions/pricing feel completely out of balance.

01/04/2026: Amazing food and service. Every staff member is a credit to themselves and this fast food restaurant. We visited Tuesday and were made aware of the Tues/We deal of a main side and shake for €10!!Our server was such a lovely person and took good care of us. We visited with my elderly parents and she was so kind and went out of her way to take her time when taking their order. My dad ordered a coffee to go with his meal and before we even mentioned he might need water, she had offered. All our orders had to be altered due to different dietary needs and the food was amazing, so fresh too. I'm sorry I didn't take pictures. Will definitely be back.

05/03/2026: Wouldn`t be a great fan of diners and fast food,but I have to say,a really pleasant experience was had here,Tuesday 03/03/26. Same guy took our order,served us and took payment,and credit to him,he was really friendly and cheerful and smiling all through our visit. We got 2 totally different meals,both of which were great,hot,and tasty. The E10 deal is very good value in our opinion. We will be back next time we`re in Sligo. Continued success to all concerned. 12/06/2026: Found this on my trip in sligo and I was in love with the duck soup (Ipoh Kari Duck noodle soup) I wanna come back to sligo just for this! Could be even better if the duck was maybe outside to keep the crispy all meal long.

06/06/2026: We had sweet chilli Thai chicken here. The food was great. The portions are gigantic! The staff were helpful. The music was not too loud. Bathrooms were clean. The atmosphere is generally nice but it's a small restaurant so your table is actually every close to others.
