The best restaurants in Sligo

25/02/2025: This restaurant never disappoints. The food is a journey. The menu is an ever changing adventure. Eating here you could be anywhere in the world.. The chef and team bring it all. Must visit. 10/10

12/01/2025: First time trying food from here and I will admit I am very disappointed. Ordered from here for takeaway on the trial weekend and after travelling from skreen the whole way out and back we realised 2 of our items were not on the bag! I understand that they were probably busy especially with them only now offering takeaways but when you pay €60 for a meal you expect to receive the entire thing. Also we were unable to pay using a voucher but no reason given as to why but I suppose as not grateful for as now I have requested a refund for the items missing. The food also was nothing to be going mad about which again for a €60 meal I would’ve expected more especially when comparing the price to portion size. All in all I was very disappointed and again I do understand that given the circumstances with it being the trial runs for takeaways they were probably under pressure but I feel like a big priority is to make sure people are getting all that they ordered especially when unless you live in strandhill you are travelling a good bit of distance to get the food in the first place

03/03/2025: Nice old style bar. Very friendly staff. Was there on a Tues and Wed night, good atmosphere with a mixture of clientele. Will be back.

07/01/2025: Best pub west of the shannon. The Guinness is great and the craic is mighty. A must place to visit if in sligo

22/02/2025: Service was exceptional. We were delighted to stop in this family run pub. Roast beef is highly recommended. This pub is a must when visiting Sligo

18/02/2025: Wow! We visited Sligo for a friends wedding, the Airbnb host recommended this place. We were not disappointed. Really warm atmosphere, top notch Guinness and Irish coffee, and the food was sublime. I got the grilled Irish steak sandwich (a whole steak on ciabatta with wild shrooms onions etc) and the wife had Korean wings. Would 100% recommend

12/02/2025: We had the most delicious meal, from a broad menu. The food would give any high end resturant stiff competition and good value for money. Not what we expected from pub food, but a lovely surprise. Also check out their own apple juice. Superb! Staff were attentive and pleasant, and had time to chat and share local information. Would highly recommend you put this on your list of places to visit while in Sligo.

13/02/2025: After visiting Sligo, I visited for two days in a row. The Korean food here is very delicious and the staff is friendly and friendly. If you ever visit Sligo, I highly recommend stopping by and eating.

10/02/2025: Funky hotel with kind of a early 20th Century vibe. Room was clean. Spacious, there was an entire sitting room in addition to the bed area. Old-style radio playing opera music when we came in the room and then like '30s jazz in the morning. Bathroom was acceptable with adequate towels. The rooms are located above a restaurant run by the same people and seemed to be popular. Staff seemed to be a little overworked and frenzied. The check-in time is 3pm and our room was not quite ready. We had arrived at about 2pm and told to return at 3pm. Interestingly, you can't show up much past 3pm either. I guess someone comes in at that time to register guests for their rooms.

05/03/2025: Ordered two fish pies dissatisfied with the size of the pie and mostly potatoes and very little fish vegetables were forgotten and when they arrived were uncooked and bland waiting staff very friendly and good atmosphere

21/03/2025: We’ve given this place three chances, and unfortunately, it has let us down every time. Each time we visited, we wanted to eat in the **restaurant area**, but they kept pushing us to sit in the **bar**, which is not where we wanted to dine. To avoid the hassle, we even tried making a **booking at lunchtime today**, hoping to secure a table in the restaurant, only to be told **they don’t take lunch time reservations but there will be space when we arrive**. Yet, when we arrived, they still refused to seat us where we wanted. What’s the point of having a restaurant area if customers are constantly redirected elsewhere while we are looking at empty tables in the restaurant which we know cant be booked? Extremely **poor service**, **frustrating experience**, and we won’t be returning.

06/02/2025: Was here when we went to Sligo for our anniversary and to say the food here is great is an understatement. The food is fantastic, they didn't hold back on the favours or spices, the meat was cooked to perfection and was falling apart. If you are a local I'm jealous that you are so close to here. Next time we are in Sligo we will be back.
