21/12/2025: We had a small wedding dinner here for about 25 people in the private room and we were delighted with it! The food was beyond amazing and the room was beautifully decorated for a festive wedding! I can't praise the staff enough for how helpful and accommodating they were.

28/12/2025: We visited the place to get a coffee and some cake. The blond waitress already gave us a dirty look when we told her that we were having coffe and cake “for now”, and with our coffee half finish the waitress approached us again with the bill and asked us to leave the table coss there was people waiting to be seated. Not even 30 minutes after being served. She didn’t even bother to ask if we were gonna get anything else to eat. It’s a pity because the cake and the coffee was lovely and the food looked unreal but just because of the awful and unpolite customer services I would never visit the place again nor much less recommend it to anyone…

15/12/2025: Very busy, sites briefly for a table! Coffee was ok. Food was very good great popular choices, loads of extras. Hollandaise was a bit of a missed, not bad but not great! Eggs were spot on! €40 for 2 people!

17/09/2025: Would be a regular visitor to bodega and always thought of it as a special occasion style restaurant. Went back today to celebrate an anniversary and from the moment we walked in, it was completely off. We were left waiting at the front in what looked like an empty restaurant. Wasn’t asked for our names and brought to a table. I specifically mentioned in the booking it was an anniversary but there was no mention of this throughout the experience. Food, which I might add has always been amazing was unfortunately extremely poor. Patatas bravas were an extra €6 and was once a full bowl of potato’s with chorizo and cheese etc however now they are plain? And only maybe 10 or 11 small cubes of potatoes. The rest of the food came out luke warm and some extremely greasy. The tenders came out with barely any sauce and felt like they’ve been sitting under a hot lamp for a while. The manager mentioned the menu was new and if I’m extremely honest, a step down. I must mention the manager himself was and always has been a pleasure to dine with, however he worked alone. No other staff. This might have a knock on affect with the dining experience and something they should really look at as there was already 6 tables of 2-4 people each. Hope someone from bodega reads this and can implement some changes to avoid another business suffering in clonmel, as I’ve always said this is or was a great place to dine.

25/10/2025: We had a 60 wedding anniversary last weekend for my mam and dad and from the moment we arrived we were treated very well well done to all the staff for making our evening so enjoyable

06/10/2025: This place is a gem! The people are kind, the breakfast is delicious, and the country house accommodations are spacious and beautiful. Clonmel is a bustling little city in a fertile countryside dotted with remnants of medieval Ireland and holy wells that speak to much deeper history. You can get the bus from here to a number of beautiful sites and also to Limerick or Waterford if you wish. The trail along the meandering old river is a perfect place for a walk.

20/09/2025: The pub is a wonderful local spot. Very friendly people and the proprietor , Joe, is very charming. The service was the best we've had yet, in a week in Ireland. The food was absolutely amazing. I had the halibut special and my wife had the organic chicken. Both well presented and tasted amazing. An absolute must stop for anyone looking for a great meal and a lovely pint.

05/10/2025: Halal Steak with Argentine Meat! Absolutely incredible taste. Can accommodate up to 40 people. Great service. Parking can be challenging.

25/11/2025: Stopped in as a halfway point on a 4 hour journey for a stretch of the legs and a bite to eat. We were made feel welcome the minute we walked in. We didnt catch the barmaids name but she couldnt do enough for us. She noticed I was watching a game on my phone and put it straight on the tv for me,served up thr finest pint of guinness Ive had outside my local, told us where the bathrooms and smoking area were in case we needed them, and chatted in a friendly manner throughout. She's a credit to the place. A friendly "hello" from the local customers was also nice. Food was super tasty and came in hugely generous portions. Steak sandwich is beautiful! Pricing is fantastic value. Will return for sure

18/10/2025: Day 1 of our 2025 Irish getaway: we received a warm welcome. We ate very well, it was truly generous! €80, including four drinks. Perfect!!!
