27/07/2025: What a chipper. I must say, absolutely astonishing. From the food to the service to the atmosphere, absolutely breathtaking. To begin, the chicken fillet burger that I consumed was second to none. Pure, real, juicy chicken breast sandwiched in two plump burger buns, along with all of the toppings, quite impressive how they managed to create such an incredible taste. Moving on to the atmosphere, pure joy and love in the building. I could not have felt any more at home when I stepped foot into fratellis, surrounded by the love and care of such incredible people. Lastly, the service; 10/10. The workers were incredibly helpful, especially young Alberto behind the counter who took my order and made my food, what a hard working, generous and kind man. All in all, what I’d like to say is fratellis is a must visit chipper in gorey town, best around. 🥰😁👍

09/12/2025: I had heard so many good things about Brownes and the food truck that my partner and I decided to book a table for 6 people 2 weeks in advance in the outdoor area, a family get together which we were all looking forward to . On arriving into Brownes 15 mins before our booked time we were told that there was no table and we could not stay as they had a split the G contest for charity going on. My partner approached the lady that had taken the booking who had forgotten all about it and only we had it on the phone to show her she would not have believed us. I had driven from Dublin with two others to be there so to say I was annoyed would be an understatement. The lady did after we spoke to her offer to keep us a table but we would have to wait, or we could sit in smoking area which as none of us smoke was not suitable. We did wait for 15mins but decided to go somewhere else as we did not want our family night out completely ruined. My partner contacted Brownes and was given a €30.00 voucher, which I thought was a derisory token considering there was 6 people 3 of which had travelled from Dublin. I for one will not be returning if this is how they value their customers. I find Brownes handling of this issue totally unacceptable and if they had double booked they should have informed us so we could make alternative arrangements. Everything about this incident should be used as an example of how not run a business.

16/10/2025: Best pint of Guinness I had for ages, good barman, good craic in the bar, & it's convenient for the bus stops 100 yards away.. 👍

18/01/2026: The location is probably the best thing about this hotel, easy to get to everything, but the hotel is dated, our bed had 2 old matress toppers and was disgracefully uncomfortable with bumps and lumps. Not the cleanest either. Advertised as the most family friendly hotel but in reality the only thing there is to do for small kids is soft play. The outdoor playgrounds are more suited for bigger kids and so are the other games rooms (for which you have to pay extra anyway) the pet farm is a good idea but very small with very few animals. One thing I found strange was that the bar/ restaurant closes at 9pm even on Saturday and there was no option to have a drink after, basically you are expected to go to bed cause everything is closed in the hotel. Overall the hotel is overpriced for what it is.

17/01/2026: Beware the small print with Amber Springs! had booked an Easter break for 2026 in August 2025. I paid a €50 deposit, stupidly as it happens, not reading the small print. In January 2026 I had to cancel the trip due to ill health of my partner, which I communicated to the hotel. When speaking to the hotel I was informed that €50 deposits are “non refundable or transferable.” Having given four months notice in cancellation and explained the context I think this is a very unreasonable position taken by the hotel. No doubt, they benefit from the €50 revenue they pocket from every unfortunate customers that has to change travel plans. I think their approach is very rigid and a bit greedy. I’ll not be booking again.

24/05/2025: Purchased a BBQ online from Spice. BBQ was delivered to my door two days later. Great price and service from Spice. Will certainly use again.

09/04/2025: The staff were lovely and super helpful. The boxed sandwiches were the best ever.

14/02/2025: It's pretty much your average "coffee shop" with a moderate coffee choice, some baked goods, and pre-made cold sandwiches. The coffee was ok, as was the sandwich. So long as you don't hope for it being "awesome" you won't be disappointed.

23/10/2025: I love this little Cafe. It’s great for a really good cup of coffee. Especially if you need a fast takeaway. The food is away fresh it’s sandwich’s, rolls and bagels they are made to order, and the staff seem to have a handle on the ever changing taste trends. The girls that work there are full of fun and there are a couple of older lady’s that hold it all together. The first time I had coffee and food there I could not believe the reasonable prices. Love it x

01/10/2025: Very nice cafe with an outside area upstairs. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The food, coffee, and cakes tastes great and is always prepared to a great standard. The high level of service has not changed over the years I have been going. One thing I have noticed though is that some newer staff are not trained properly on some of the drinks as a couple of times I have tried ordering something different and the girl would just stare at me until I ordered a coffee, to which she obliged. Besides that it is a great place.
