26/04/2025: If there was an award for the worst establishment in Wexford this would win hands down. Upon seeing the bird poo stained walls I knew I was in trouble. Asked for menus and told we had to move to a different part of the pub to order food. When we asked to order we were told we had to wait for a waitress. After a wait of 5 minutes a waitress appeared . We asked for mains with the starters on the side. The starters came first. With a wait of 10 minutes I got the 17 euro chicken stir fry after my 10 chicken wings for a 10er. Value! Around the corner people walked by with a 3 euro bag of chips. I paid an extra 2 for chips with my stir fry. Before I took the cutlery out of the napkin a card machine appears. Will you pay for that food he says. Will you order a taxi for me I says. Best thing about the place? The road out of it

26/04/2025: The food is the same as the chipper out the back but 3x the price. Service is woeful. Staff asking to pay in the middle of the meal. I wouldn’t recommend at all. Pricing is horrendous

10/05/2025: We had lunch in the Ashdown Bar and Restaurant we both had haddock ...the fish itself was lovely but both the cauliflower and dressing it was served with was very disappointing barely cooked almost raw and impossible to eat ...it came with boiled potatoes which were not editable green inside we did get some chips as a replacement but equally poor...we had two coffees my coffee was cold and really just tasted like milk I did ask for it to be reheated bit it came back the same and I did not drink it...the Hotel is beautifully kept and the grounds are amazing...we have eaten in the bar on a few occasions and it was lovely but unfortunately not so on this visit...perhaps if we return it will be back to its usual high standard ...

06/04/2025: Giving a one star as a party of 7 for dinner, paid €49 for two courses of dinner and desert. Told when the main course arrived any side of Potatoe and veg for mains were extra, ludicrous! We all ate mains with no sides. Still in shock.

02/02/2025: I stopped here for coffee and soup on a very cold day. The staff were very kind and welcoming, and the cauliflower curry soup was absolutely delicious. This cafe has a lovely warm cozy vibe, and if I’m ever back in Enniscorthy, I will definitely eat here again. Highly recommend!

31/12/2024: My favourite café in Enniscorthy. Lovely staff, especially Grace who always has a warm welcoming smile. Lovely buns and cakes locally made as the bakery (also called Cooney's) is just around the corner. They have a great salad bar so you can eat healthily if you want to. A good meat and vegetarian selection is available, you can make up your own more healthy food plate or stick with more traditional sandwiches and fry ups. All sauces are optional so eat to your own health preferences. I would recommend avoiding the soups though as they taste industrial - way too high is salt and artificial flavours. The consistency was unpleasant too.

14/12/2024: Conney’s Café is an absolute gem! The food is always fresh and delicious, with a menu that caters to all tastes. The staff are incredibly welcoming and attentive, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere. Whether you’re stopping by for a coffee or a full meal, you’re guaranteed an excellent experience. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for great food and even better service!

01/11/2024: We went for a snack and there was plenty of room. Everything was very delicious, but the chocolate and coffee stand out. We ask for some cookies, but also offer salty food and snacks.

03/11/2024: We went to Saltee Coast Hotel retsurant for food only so can't comment on accommodation. But the hotel seems very well maintained. It is slightly away from overcrowded Kilmore Quay, which was exactly what we were looking for. We went there bit late for lunch after exploring saltee island. We were welcomed warmly and served with really tasty fish n chips. I have to say this was a really tasty fish n chips I had in long time. Highly recommend this place.

28/09/2024: Difficult! Saltees is a hotel/motel with a restaurant. The food is delicious and of good quality, the service is good, and the staff is friendly. But: The restaurant atmosphere is unworthy of a high-class hotel. The seating seems cheap, the ambiance is uninspiring, and the bar is a permanent fixture—including drunk and rowdy guests. Furthermore, there's a pool table right next to the restaurant tables, within easy reach of the cues. It's a real shame.

11/04/2025: Stopped in for lunch. Had soup followed by chicken goujons & chips. Sorry to say I would not call again. Food was mediocre and overpriced at 23 euro.

12/03/2025: Family of 6 visited for breakfast on my Dad's 80th birthday as we were staying in Bunclody. I'd pre ordered an 80th birthday cake to pick up when we'd eaten but they brought it out with an 80th candle and sang to him which was lovely. Staff were all very friendly and welcoming and more than happy to accommodate changes to the menu we asked for such as scrambled instead of fried egg, nothing was a problem and the coffee was great. All 6 of us enjoyed the variety of breakfasts we chose. The cakes looked lovely but we didn't sample them as they brought us plates and a knife for us to tuck into the birthday cake (which was lovely). Would highly recommend if you're in the area.

21/04/2025: As a vegetarian (accompanying meat eaters) I've not had the best culinary experience in La Marine over the past couple of years, but this time the food was inspired, creative and really tasty. This truly now stands out as the premier eating venue in the Wexford area. Top marks
