The best restaurants in Wexford

23/07/2026: We have been to this bar more than once and it is a must if you in Bunclody. The staff are class and it’s always such a nice vibe. Would highly recommend.

09/06/2026: A very quiet place to spend a pleasant time. There's plenty to do on site (pool, darts, board games, etc.). The person who served us was also very kind.

All current staff is lovely! :) ---------------- Original review; Food is great , just a pity the staff are the most ignorant and rude people I've ever had the displeasure of meeting. Me and many people I know will not go there just because of the staff. Avoid at all costs and go somewhere that aren't ignorant. There is one girl who usually is on the till that gave us a dog bowl with water when we had our dogs who was LOVELY. I hope she goes somewhere that she doesn't have to work with people like the rest.

21/07/2026: The servers were very helpful and understanding with our various requests, as some of the dishes weren't to our liking! Thank you to them. The only downside was the order taking process, which was a bit slow... but otherwise, it was very good. I recommend it.

15/07/2026: Nice ice-cream. Pity about the extremely rude language audible. After waiting in line listening to a young female worker talking with her friends, who were swearing loudly, it was disappointing to hear yet more f-words from the man (owner?) working at the crepe bar. We visited with our small children. An ice-cream shop shouldn't be a place where language like that is heard, regardless of who's in attendance. So unprofessional and unnecessary.

10/08/2026: Our favorite breakfast or lunch place when in Duncannon! The traditional Irish breakfast is one of the best around, the coffee is great, and the atmosphere cozy. Don't miss this hidden gem if you're in the area.

18/06/2026: John and I had a delicious breakfast yesterday, the fact that you can build your own was great, it takes a host with a lot of vision to recognise that this is the way to go. Bright and airy with a nice atmosphere and great service Richard and Helene created something beautiful to add on to their Hotel that Duncannon really needed. Well done.

20/07/2026: I bought chicken and veg kebabs, they are not tasty as the normal kebabs. I don’t recommend it for others.

12/07/2026: Staff are kind, couldn't get a better tasting kebab anywhere else in the town, best kebab in the town.

28/01/2026: I stay at the LGA for a couple of weeks each year since 2022. Im a solo traveller and the room suits me fine for what i need. Easy walking distance to local pubs, post office, banks, restaurants and supermarket.

21/02/2026: Visited: February 2026 We called in here today with a group of 12 for a family reunion, a mix of family from the US and Ireland. We were really looking forward to a lovely evening together, but sadly the experience was anything but. From the moment we arrived, the bar manager was incredibly rude and unwelcoming. His attitude was aggressive and completely uncalled for. What made it even worse was his use of bad language in front of children in our group, including an 8 year old. There’s absolutely no excuse for that. When we politely asked him why he was being so rude, rather than apologising or dialling it back, he actually got worse. At that point we’d had enough and made the decision to leave. We shouldn’t have to sit there and take that kind of treatment, especially not with kids present. It’s a real shame because we were looking forward to a nice meal and a few drinks as a family. Instead, he completely ruined our evening. For a group that’s travelled from the States to be here, it left a pretty terrible impression of the area. We won’t be back, and I’d honestly think twice before bringing your family here. Nobody expects to be spoken to like that when they’re just trying to enjoy a meal out. Plenty of other pubs around Wexford that actually know how to treat their customers with a bit of basic respect.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

06/08/2026: Dropped in here with my sister in law on our trip to Wexford for a game of pool. Was a quiet weekday night, literally everyone was so friendly and welcoming, staff and the other customers. Had a great night. Will defo visit again if in the area.

16/07/2026: The worst pub in town today they took me out for some reason I didn't do anything That's why I think this ridiculous bar is the worst in the small town of Gorey

24/07/2026: Ordered a bag of chips and waited 15 minutes for chips when other people around me ordered bigger orders and got them before me. And the chips were the worst i ever had. They were black and discoloured with no flavour at all. It was a great chipper before the new owner came and ruined it

04/08/2026: If it were possible to give 10 stars, I absolutely would! Without a doubt, this is one of the best Asian takeaways I’ve ever visited. The food is consistently fresh, delicious, and full of flavour, and every meal is prepared with great care. The staff are genuinely warm, friendly, and professional. They’re always happy to help without being intrusive, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere from start to finish. It’s clear that the team works hard to provide excellent food and outstanding customer service. I truly hope they continue to succeed and that their kindness and dedication are always appreciated. Highly recommended. I’ll definitely be coming back!
