22/07/2025: I was at this place today and I should have ran when I saw nobody in it.If I say it was the worst microwaved turkey and ham dinner I ever had in my life is saying something my daughter and grandson had a basket of frozen chicken and chips and a flat bottle of bud and we left most of it and not once did the 3 women standing around ask was every thing OK because we had paid before eating so they could serve any muck ss save your money and stay away.

25/05/2025: Difficult! Saltees is a hotel/motel with a restaurant. The food is delicious and of good quality, the service is good, and the staff is friendly.
But: The restaurant atmosphere is unworthy of a high-class hotel. The seating seems cheap, the ambiance lacks motivation, and the bar is a permanent fixture—including drunk and rowdy guests. Furthermore, there's a pool table right next to the restaurant tables, within easy reach of the cues.
It's a real shame.

Ordered a 12" "create your own" pizza for 17:45 pickup yesterday.
Mine was a pepperoni, ham and double mushrooms! Made to perfection and ready on time as promised.
They use quality ingredients...loved the cheese. Very buttery tasting. Just right for the 2 of us and reasonably priced. Why can't we find a pizza this good in California?
So happy to have found Raymondo's...we'll definitely be back (next Saturday, if not before!) Thank you.

Ferryport House Rosslare, menu

18/08/2025: A great place to to stop for a couple of days or for a dash to the ferry. We arrived later than expected but our keys were waiting for us. Fantastic room exceeded our expectations. It was renovated in January and you can tell. Very comfy beds and extremely quiet at the back. The staff are very friendly and complimentary beverages and snacks available in the bar area overnight. We would stay again.
15/07/2025: Ferryport House - What a find ! Staying for the ferry in luxury at a fraction of the cost. Newly refurbished to the standards of a 5 star hotel - beautiful walk in showers , comfy beds and new plush carpets thoughout. Complimentary Cappucccino or hot chocolates and biscuits in a comfy lounge with tea/coffee trays in the room too ! offered Fresh bottled water on arrival if required. Stayed a few times now and the greeting is friendly and efficient with plenty of recommendations for local restaurants if needed. Pity more places could not offer the level of service and facilities as this place does! def be back !!

Hook Lighthouse Cafe
01/08/2025: After our tour of hook lighthouse we had coffee and iced cake. The service was friendly and clean and not expensive . Very refreshing to relax.
31/07/2025: Oh my good lord - the chowder. We came as a group of friends, did the tour and stopped for lunch. Between us we had the chowder, fish and chips and the open face prise sandwiches.
Chowder - thick, packed with prawns, chunks of potato and fish. So flavoursome.
Fish and chips - to quote my friend, “Oh my God, how do they get the batter so light and crispy and the fish so moist?”
Open face prawn sandwich - piled high, lovely brown bread.
I’m gluten free and the bread that came with the chowder was so good I had to check that it was definitely gf. Genuinely not had a gf bread so good in years since the epic gf restaurant in Pisa.
And we lucked out on the weather. Sunshine and soft breezes.

14/02/2025: It's pretty much your average "coffee shop" with a moderate coffee choice, some baked goods, and pre-made cold sandwiches. The coffee was ok, as was the sandwich. So long as you don't hope for it being "awesome" you won't be disappointed.
