01/05/2026: Just moved to the area and we decided to try the golden anchor for food.
Have to say the fish and chips and pizza we had was really good and the guinness was spot on they also accomidated for our 1 year old with high chair and some chips
Thanks again we had a lovely experience

09/03/2026: Bar was full of fox hunters, they had just been back from watching their dogs rip apart foxes. Found out afterwards this is where they meet. Did not like the atmosphere.

25/10/2025: Jim McGees is finally back to its roots and no longer an Ipase Centre for Ukranians. All rooms have been refurbished and are good to go.
Its very nice to see it getting back to Jim and Betty's days with happy tourists.

23/06/2026: Coffee was undrinkable. Way too hot(burnt my lips) and barely any taste of coffee. I had to throw it in the bin. Didn't try any food so cannot comment. The offerings looked good though.
