The best restaurants in Wexford

27/08/2025: A lovely pub in New Ross. Lovely buzz from the locals, cheap drinks and a good quality bar. The cocktails are fantastic out of here, the best in the town. The woman behind the bar (presumably the owner?) is a treasure. So friendly and accommodating.

13/07/2025: Very disappointing meal unfortunately. We had crab claws and cod fritters which didn’t have much flavour, a caprese salad where the mozzarella tasted of fish, and scallops which were ok but nothing amazing. They served us Aldi bake at home ciabatta and garlic bread which again was just ok. For the price we paid the food was mediocre at best.

02/11/2025: Our old reliable. We have found the food gorgeous and fresh every time. At a time when most restaurants seem to be letting people down Ramen seems to be sticking to a great standard. They haven't gone astronomical with their prices either which is great to see!

04/09/2025: We ordered two“fresh cod” and chips. That was the first mistake…… The “fresh fish” was over cooked and the batter was hard and quite disgusting with foreign black remnants from the fryer. YUCK 🤮 Chips had a strange taste which was very unpleasant. The tub of ketchup was so low budget it should be banned. This has to be the worst chipper in Wexford I do not write reviews normally but AVOID AVOID AVOID!! Save your money…..daylight robbery for horrible cooked food Will never be back

16/11/2025: I was unpleasantly suprised by this place. I payed a ridiculous amount (13,50) of money for 5 very small chicken nuggets, soggy and too fatty fries and a coke. Its crazy that i need to pay 1,50 for some mayo. The loaded fries were also very weird, because it looked like it was thrown together in 30 seconds. The cheese was very cold. I did like the wraps, and they are pleasantly priced too, thats why ill give three stars.

03/08/2025: The most uncustomer friendly pub I was ever in. The aul lad Interrogated me when I asked for my first pint and and the 5 of us were playing cards for about half an hour and next thing your man came over and told us we weren’t allowed play cards in the pub. Avoid that place I wouldn’t give the owner the satisfaction!!!

25/11/2025: We have been getting coffee here atleast 6 days per week , love the coffee its a shame about the rudeness of the owners. The lady in particular. Yesterday my partner brought me a coffee as he always does and i took a few sips out of it and thought it tasted funny. I then realised it had oat milk in it and it wasnt my order. My partner went back in and said we got the wrong coffee can you make another latte there please. The owner replied with ' you mean you took the wrong coffee , he said no i asked the girl if this was mine and she said yes. So he walked back out saying she wants us to pay for the coffee again . So we drove off. I will never be back there again . I always did think they were rude but that took the piss. How miserable would you have to be.

05/10/2025: We always go to the Orpgan girl for food and drinks and occasionally the Karoke, when we're down in wexford. But for some reason the food this winter was appalling. (We have eaten in November etc numerous times). The service was so poor, whereby our mains came out, while I was still eating and they didn't remove the plates and just dumped the mains on the table. My friend had a burger and it was cold, tasteless and so were the chips. I had the "chicken fillet" burger - but it wasn't - it was a massive bread bun and a thin breaded piece of chicken in the middle. (17euro it cost). But the chips were hot, only as they brought mine out last as i was still eating my starter! We suspected the food was from the chipper next store. My husband had the steak sandwhich and no ciabatta in sight, but two slices of garlic bread instead. Steak was decent tho and nearly done to his liking. Overall, very pricey at 73 in total for us two, including 1 beer each. Shocking as we were there during the summer, so couldn't understand the poor quality and service. If it keeps up we won't be eating there and will just cook in the mobile or go to gorey. Shocking. Hopefully it was a once off. P.s worth mentioning the couple beside us had fish and chips and didn't like there's either. Was overcooked batter and burnt and noticed our mains came out while we were still eating our starters!

30/08/2025: Hearty meals. Menu invariant. Big Carpark and local fair Wednesdays during Summer. No Carlsberg😕, but various Wicklow Wolf. Excellent pool table and cues after 9pm.

11/11/2025: It was closed at 13:00 on a Sunday. I shouldn’t be upset because we had a great time going to Molloys instead. 🤷‍♂️

13/10/2025: Newly opened post lock down. Great service, excellent social distancing and reasonable food.

07/12/2025: Castlebridge Dusty Boy - the area is freezing cold, staff unfriendly no meet/greet/had to ask if there was a special/soup. Food is very nice but takes quite a while to get to the table. A smile and a bit of friendly banter would go a long way - show some customer appreciation.

09/10/2025: This is a very quaint and vibey lil café, the matcha is of the best I've ever had and the bap is delicious with every single to last bite (even though I don't usually eat eggs), and the servers, Ruth and Siobhan were very attentive with their service. I've heard a good few people praising this place and from experiencing it myself, I now see why! The playlist is quite vibey too 😎
