27/04/2025: If you’re in Ballycanew and you’re not getting your fish and chips from Sizzles, you seriously need to have a long, hard look at yourself. I’m convinced they’re frying with holy oil back there because no normal fryer could make food taste that good. The fish is so fresh, I half expect it to slap me and swim off the plate. The batter? Crispy enough to survive a hurricane. And don’t even get me started on the chips — proper chunky lads that could do serious damage if you threw one at someone (not that you’d waste them). The portions are so generous I needed a lie down and a support group afterwards. The staff are absolute legends too. Sizzles isn’t just the best chipper in Ballycanew, it might be the best thing to happen to County Wexford since the invention of the tractor. Five stars, ten if I could. Long live Sizzles.

01/03/2025: Great pub and the locals are very welcoming, bar staff were very nice and the drinks were cheapest in the town , went on a Thursday and came back again on the Friday for live music

01/06/2025: We had our usual, so much so that the Waitress knows what our order is before we’ve told her!! They know us so well!!! As usual everything was perfect; lovely food, very tasty, good ambience and friendly staff. This restaurant is the best in Gorey and we love it!

19/05/2025: From the time myself and my friend entered ipoh it was amazing, the food is out of this world, lovely atmosphere and the staff especially a lovely girl called Lily could not have been nicer, we had a very young autistic child with us and she went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable. Brilliant meal and will definitely go again thank you to all the staff

06/07/2025: This is such a fabulous restaurant. The food, ambience, service, everything was just perfect. We loved it and will definitely be back. We will go out of our way to be back at Casa d'Galo.

23/06/2025: Went for bruch. Ordered 3 meals. They served 2 meals initially. Thinking the 3rd one is in the way, we waited. After half an hour of waiting, nothing, so we asked, and they asked if we ordered 3 meals 🤦🏻‍♂️. The worse is yet to happen at the ice cream bar. Ordered 2. Waited in line. 3 patrons after me got served 1st. Thats fine, so we asked. Only to be be asked by the same cashier if we did order😂. These people have zero, i mean 0 customer service. I can only imagine the reason such attitude towards patrons is bec theu are always a hit re: strawberry. I wonder is it bec we are non white, or so simply they couldnt be bothered.

23/06/2025: Strawberries are so plump and red right now. We went on a Saturday, and crowd’s okay. Picked strawberries are sold at €13 per kilo.

17/05/2025: Was only there for about an hour or so , nice enough place drinks were nice, they need to clean the umbrellas out side and chairs alot of them were full of bird poo

30/04/2025: Irish food served with great kindness and good value for money. Quiet atmosphere but you can also go with children (it has a menu for them)

22/06/2025: Was having breakfast with my father for his birthday, my food came out 10 minutes before his so by the time his fry arrived mine was eaten. Coffee was good, my focaccia was disappointing, the mini fry was good for the price, timing/ service was a let down. Will try the place again in the future in the hope that they were just a bit inundated with orders…

17/02/2025: If you love plants (and good food) this is the place to go. Loads of variety from flowers to trees, and an especially impressive selection of roses. Even better, pretty much all of the roses have detailed description labels which describe the scent, flower appearance, growth habit and planting tips to help you choose the right one (or two, or three, or four...) Really friendly staff as well. If you're going definitely try the goats cheese bruschetta at the café. I order it every time and it's always perfect. The blueberry almond tart is a favourite of ours as well. Not too sweet, and gluten free! I could easily spend a whole afternoon here. 😊🌸🌻🌷

02/07/2025: Went there on Friday 27thJune with my Sisters and the food wasn’t great .Both ladies had lettuce in their dishes and it definitely had seen better days .Spoke to the waiter re same and he didn’t give a toss about us or the food .I went for the pulled pork which wasn’t great either .I have been there before and it was excellent so what has happened. Very disappointed as it was a family day out.
