03/08/2026: Really disappointed with the way we were treated. We arrived in the afternoon with our small dog and spent several hours in the bar enjoying the atmosphere and having drinks. After we had been there for hours, a member of staff suddenly informed us that the pub was not dog-friendly and asked us to leave. It was very frustrating and contradictory, especially as both we and our dog had been sitting quietly in the bar the entire time without any issue. A real shame, as we had been enjoying our visit.

22/08/2026: A charming Irish pub with a classic atmosphere. It was recommended by locals, and we weren't disappointed! The service was friendly and helpful, the food arrived quickly and tasted absolutely delicious! We enjoyed it so much that we ordered a homemade dessert (even though we were already full). The prices were perfectly reasonable and appropriate for the quality of the food. The restrooms were clean and without any issues. This pub is truly recommendable!!

15/06/2026: Excellent service the food served was Star rated, waiters and waitress are very efficient and helpful you may have to wait for a seating on Sundays as its extremely busy but well worth the wait definitely looking forward to my next visit

05/08/2026: Hair cooked into the kebab bread, this is not the only hair we found. Disgusting shows the hygiene standards they uphold. I will personally be contacting trading standards and reporting this as a major flaw in hygiene. This is a major health code violation and beard/hair nets are clearly not being used. Will never be eating from here again

06/08/2026: Anniversary celebration which had beenbooked in advance, as there was 16 of us including children. We had the upstairs private room. One waitress in attendance constantly, taking drinks orders and then food orders. There was a delay in getting the meals, which with number of us was understandable but the younger children were restless as they were hungry. Food was delicious as usual and there was a wide choice. Overall a very good night.

08/03/2026: I love sizzles,All the staff working there at super friendly and don’t get me started on the burgers and chips if you are in ballycanew and not getting a quarter ponder from sizzles then you need to have a long hard think about yourself

07/03/2026: Had read many great reviews from this place went there last night very disappointed, fish was badly battered oily and overcooked the chips were cold and the atmosphere in the place was.... Matching the food. It cost 37 euro for two fish and chips and a burger,was very badly packed for a take away fish and chip shop .

09/07/2026: Got a gorgeous oat milk hot chocolate and tea. Staff are so friendly and positive. Lovely to sit outside and people-watch a gorgeous quite sun trap.
