13/08/2025: We have been eating regularly at Cappuccino's since my wife & I moved to Wexford. Why? Well, I guess you could say that "The proof of the pudding is in the eating"
Consistent food quality, cheerful and welcoming staff, combined with good service and being situated at a convenient location on the main street are the most prominent reasons. In essence, we like it!

The Old Deanery Cottages Ferns

23/07/2025: The Old Deanery is a fantastic venue for a group event and one I couldn’t recommend more! We had my sisters hen party there with 22 people who all had a great time. Bryanna was so helpful with everything from start to finish.
There are plenty of communal spaces to hold different activities and the cottages are very well equipped and clean, Bryanna also left milk, coffee, tea and biscuits in each cottage which was a lovely touch. A special shout out and thanks to Jack for helping out with our many drink requests!
The place is very picturesque and we were able to come down early to decorate. Plenty of fridge/freezer storage too.
Overall I highly recommend the Old Deanery for any group event!
21/07/2025: An amazing idyllic venue for any celebration, full of history! We had an amazing time here for my sister's hen party weekend. The owner Bryanna was so helpful from start to finish. Everything you could need is on site, the cottages were perfect and the barn which is decorated beautifully is ideal for activities and night time celebrations and music/karaoke. Only a 3 minute drive from Ferns village where we had a great meal in the Courtyard restaurant. We had the best time and would highly recommend for groups.

18/05/2025: We visited on a Wednesday and there was a live Irish music session which started at 9pm and it was perfect. The staff (mainly family) were so talented from the Landlord who sang to his daughter who played the piano and sang. I'm sure they have much more they can play. The son Jack welcomed us and was so informative about Irish history. Loved it all

16/08/2025: Always use Westgate when I am in Wexford. Busy spot but service is very efficient. Food choices and quality are top drawer. Staff very pleasant and the premises is spotlessly clean considering how busy it gets. Upstairs has salads whereas downstairs had full selection of hot and cold foods. Cannot go wrong here.

And the lamb kebabs have lovely tender cuts of meat, no grisle and nice fresh salad and sauce. Reasonably priced also, around 50 quid for a family of 5.

23/05/2025: We had dinner here tonight for my husbands birthday. I have to say our meal, and our evening was sublime. The food was exceptional and the service was excellent. We really enjoyed our night. This is a restaurant that takes pride in the food it serves. We have eaten here on a number of occasions over the years from the time it was on The Avenue in Gorey, to now, on the Main Street. The quality and inventiveness of the dishes continues to impress. The menu is based on what is freshly available in season which makes for wonderful food. We cannot recommend The Bistro enough to anyone who loves good food.

30/08/2025: You've got to try the Belgium Waffles 🤩 Definitely the best in Wexford! Such lovely and friendly staff. And the creamiest white hot chocolate! Cheat days are rare, so you dont want to be disappointed and let's just say, I will definitely be back 😊
02/08/2025: The fact that I'm a regular here speaks for itself. I've been coming for over a year and this place never disappoints. The coffee, tea, and other drinks are always fresh and high-quality, and the food is so tasty (I usually get breakfast). There's also plenty of free parking out the back, which is a great plus. A brilliant local spot that I can't recommend highly enough.
