01/01/2026: The worst kitchen range ever. Got burger meal, but with chips, not mash, about 3 carrot slices and 3 green beans for which i had to throw out and cook my own veg. The chips nearly broke my teeth. This meal wouldnt feed a child. Last time i will ever get one. This is not good eniugh pettitts. Up your game. Money is tight

05/03/2026: Had the lamb rogan josh and it was unreal. Meat was really tender and the sauce was thick and full of flavour none of that watery nonsense.

28/10/2025: Quite a good selection. Nice cafe upstairs. Some limits: they only have SAE 30; one generator they sell wants SAE 10W30 oil (found it at Ferns Engineering). Chainsaw files, yes; replacement chains, no. Good range of power tools.

12/10/2025: Great spot for all your DIY and paint needs, the garden centre is also great here. Cafe shop is great too. Plenty of parking outside and also has a delivery service too. Staff are great here and very knowledgeable. There are also very friendly and helpful. This is a one stop shop for all your needs. I would highly recommend 👌. Also have santa here during the Christmas period. Deffo worth dropping in. 5 stats all day.

The food was refined but comforting, with excellent presentation and very fresh ingredients. We especially loved sharing starters and desserts — the menu is ideal for a social dining experience. Service was friendly, professional, and never rushed, which allowed us to fully enjoy the evening. Helpful tips for visitors: • Book in advance, especially for weekend terrace dining. • Arrive early to enjoy a walk around the gardens — it really adds to the experience. • Smart-casual dress works perfectly. • Consider sharing dishes to try more flavours. • Allow plenty of time — this is a place to slow down and savour the moment. 14/03/2026: The bearnaise sauce that accompanied a filet steak was terrible, cold and glumpy..I believe a youtube training video for the chef can help in improving the overall quality of the dining experience concerning the fillet steak, the sauce and the price attached..

Went in for a few drinks with my friends and they told me they wouldn’t serve me because they thought because I was a traveller that I was the person they had problems with in the past, when I tried to explain that it was not me, the lady put her hand in my face and slapped my hands and phone away. Never felt more embarrassed in my life. Was told I would get a call back with an apology and got nothing of the sort. If I could give 1 star I would.

17/11/2025: Very nice place to pick strawberries. Nice and juicy strawberries but ticket prices increased in less than a year. They have small walk in the woods as well. Their strawberry 99 was very nice.

09/02/2026: We visited at 12,30 on a dull wet Monday morning and our spirits were immediately improved. A bright spacious dining area with fabulous views of the river and surrounding areas. Our servers were very capable and on their recommendation of scampi with chips and salad and a chicken curry with rice was ordered . We didn't have to wait long for it to arrive and the servings were generous. The food was delicious and the banter with staff and some other customers was lighthearted and good humoured . They are celebrating their 25 anniversary and look good for the next 25 ! Best wishes and we will be back !
