30/09/2025: Had a fantastic visit to Kings Bay Inn. The pints of Guinness were exceptional – creamy, smooth, and perfectly poured, easily among the best I’ve enjoyed anywhere. The food was very good, with hearty portions and fresh flavours that complemented the drinks nicely. It’s a bustling little spot with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. It can get busy, so you might have to wait a short while for a table or your order, but the quality makes it well worth the wait. A great choice for anyone looking for top-notch Guinness and a good meal in a lively setting.

17/10/2025: Hi Andrea I just want to say a massive thank you for our wedding on Friday. I don’t think I can even put into words just how incredible of a day we had. From the meetings, phone calls and emails you have been absolutely amazing. I think part of the reason I was extremely laid back was because I knew that you knew what you were doing and any questions I had they had been answered before I could ask them. You really did put myself and Jordan at ease and we could focus on other aspects of the wedding without worrying about how things would go at the hotel. The reason we chose the Riverside was because anytime we had stayed the food was always amazing and the staff were brilliant. The food was still amazing but the staff were more than brilliant. There wasn’t any request too big or small and any doubts or worries, we were reassured and solved in minutes. Us, our families and guests still can’t get over just how great all the staff were at the Riverside. Thank you so much again for everything, you and all the staff have really set the standard for how newly weds, bridal parties and guests should be looked after and treated. 13/10/2025: Such an amazing hotel. Stayed here for 2 nights and it was incredible. Brealfast was really nice. They have a pancake machine but only on Weekend so was very dissappointed as I was here today (Monday). Overall amazing.

02/10/2025: We stumbled upon Ballycarney Inn during our return trip from the cliffs, and it turned out to be a delightful surprise — exactly the kind of place that makes a journey memorable. From the moment we walked in, the warm welcome from the staff made us feel like treasured guests rather than just passing travelers. Their kindness, genuine smiles, and attentiveness set the tone for the entire visit. The interior of the Inn struck me as delightfully unconventional and charming. It’s not just a typical pub or tea room — there are unique design touches and cozy corners that invite you to slow down and enjoy the atmosphere. It felt friendly, artistic even, and quite unlike the generic chain–style stops you often see along busy routes. But what truly won my heart were the desserts. Each sweet treat we had was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious — clearly made with care, high‐quality ingredients, and a sense of pride. Whether it was a creamy pudding, a delicate cake, or some pastry delight, every bite was a treat. In sum, Ballycarney Inn is a gem. If you ever find yourself in County Wexford or passing through the area, do yourself a favor and pause here. The staff, the interior, the food — all combine to make it more than “just a stop.” It’s a highlight in its own right.

01/10/2025: Stopped here for dinner after visiting the Irish National Heritage Park (also wonderful!) with my mom and dad, who can be a little picky. We all really liked it and the portions were huge, making it a great value. Also the service was spot on. I really liked the haddock! Recommend checking it out for a quiet, comfortable, simply lovely experience.

13/10/2025: Wonderful experience from start to finish at Table forty One. Staff were friendly welcoming, attentive & informative. The food was second to none. We had confit duck & rack of pork, both cooked to perfection by chef Andrew Duncan. I don't normally do reviews but this place is special. Athmosphere was lively yet comfortable & laid back. Prices are spot on for the quality of food & service given, which is rare these days. Well done to all concerned, great work. Thank you.

He carries out an incredibly demanding job, yet the results are extraordinary — each plate looked and tasted as though it belonged in a Michelin-starred restaurant. 27/09/2025: They are taking advantage of the fact that they have no competition, and the fact that local people have no clue what good sushi actually tastes like. This place would be less than 3 stars anywhere else in the world. In Japan it would be a 1 star. I suspect a lot of their reviews are fake. Charging €23.50 per 8 piece roll of such low quality is just disgusting. Stop taking advantage of clueless people and either increase your quality by about 5x or reduce your prices by 3x.

27/09/2025: Frankly I don't want to give false information for the sake of reviews. Magans in what I have seen when I pass by it, is well frequented by customers. It is quite popular in the area. The aroma of the food which wafts out is mouth watering. The service also must be good that is the reason why so many people come and eat and take outs. I wish them all the best. Keep it up.

17/09/2025: Awe this is my local chipper and I just love the friendly hello and the banter with staff, the kebab box is a must if you fancy a feed. The gorgeous chicken burgers are just delicious.
