The best restaurants in Wexford

10/04/2025: My third time in Wexford but my first visit to The Pike Bar. It came as a recommendation and it did not disappoint. Fantastic welcome, great atmosphere and spotlessly clean. I'm a Guinness drinker and I have to say, one of the best pints I've had in Ireland with "Schtick" all the way down the glass. The Barman was fab and knew exactly how to pour a superb pint of creamy Guinness. Will definitely be back and probably my new favourite pub in Wexford...... Hats off to you lads!!!

29/03/2025: Ahhhh Trevor Ducey, one of the best barmen/owners I have ever come across. You will never go wrong by dropping into The Pike for a pint and an interesting conversation with Trev. Genuine nice guy that puts his punters first.

20/04/2025: Absolutely fantastic food and service we had 8 people at our table and didn't have any complaints. Will be back again. I had the beef burger and loved it

31/03/2025: The cardinal sin of any restaurant is for it raise expectations via its decor that its food then fails to match. The Bailey is a lovely venue with a crisp modern look accented by (on the evening we visited) tastefully positioned uplighters. It looks upmarket, plain and simple, setting a high bar for the chef to clear. Thankfully, the food is even better. It's rare that you can order such contrasting mains from an extremely varied menu and the restaurant gets it spot on. For example, the Thai curry was to the standard of a really good asian restaurant, and likewise the Lasagne was as good as any Italian restaurant that we have visited. My wife remarked that it was a shame that we visited the second night of our short break instead of the first, or we could have dined here twice and tried more off of the menu. That really sums it up in one sentence. The staff were excellent as well.

03/05/2025: The pub has a very nice atmosphere and the staff very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Whilst we did not eat, they have a reasonable priced and varied menu. They sold the usual Diageo ales found in most of Irelands pubs, and as a real ale drinker I settled for a 12 year old Tullamore. Worth noting they have a very large collection of whiskeys. My wife settled for a New Zealand Pinot Grigio. Highly recommended..

27/04/2025: We are touring Ireland for the first time on holiday and currently in New Ross. We live in Birmingham which is seen as the Balti capital with hundreds of Indian restaurants and eat out at many of them regularly. The reason for stating this is because we ate at the Holy Grail restaurant tonight (Sunday) and had one of the best Indian meals ever. Beautiful food, lovely staff. Definitely recommend it. PS Ireland is a beautiful country

14/04/2025: Very pretty pub with a maritime atmosphere. No opportunity to taste anything other than tea after a walk on the beach at Kilmore Quay, pleasant service, not yet many people to judge the atmosphere but the typical decor of the Irish pub.

07/04/2025: Note Katie Daly's has new owners - Disappointed new owners decided to serve meals on greaseproof paper on trays like a cafeteria. The Mr and I got a steak sandwich and 6oz burger. Was put off by the tray moving every time we went to take a bite. The chips were cut into L shapes. Felt like a cost cutting attempt. Not asked if we wanted drinks. All the regular staff were gone. The place feels like it's been hollowed out by the new owners. For the €37 (without drinks) it's okay but not really much to write home about. Miss the old place. Lastly, the place used to be hopping at lunch time but it was empty except for us and one other couple.

04/04/2025: Note the age of other reviews. Katie Dalys has reopened under new management recently. Unfortunately, the only similarity is the name. Very overpriced for very average food. Disappointing

17/02/2025: If you love plants (and good food) this is the place to go. Loads of variety from flowers to trees, and an especially impressive selection of roses. Even better, pretty much all of the roses have detailed description labels which describe the scent, flower appearance, growth habit and planting tips to help you choose the right one (or two, or three, or four...) Really friendly staff as well. If you're going definitely try the goats cheese bruschetta at the café. I order it every time and it's always perfect. The blueberry almond tart is a favourite of ours as well. Not too sweet, and gluten free! I could easily spend a whole afternoon here. 😊🌸🌻🌷
