15/06/2026: Excellent service, beautifully prepared seafood dishes, and great value for the quality. We had a fantastic meal at Whitford House Restaurant. The service was genuinely excellent — friendly, attentive, and perfectly paced, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. The food was the real highlight. The Forthside chunky seafood chowder was rich, hearty, and full of flavour, easily one of the best we’ve had. The mushrooms were beautifully cooked, and the monkfish and king prawns on a bed of mash was a standout dish — generous portions, perfectly balanced flavours, and cooked with real skill. The baked haddock with a parmesan crust was another winner, crisp on top and tender underneath. With great service, delicious food, and very reasonable prices for the quality, Whitford House Restaurant is absolutely worth a visit.

21/05/2026: Dined out here, could not believe how they managed to fit us in, as it was really busy, but they had a table,and we were well looked after us, we ate in the Bistro bar, food was exceptional, service was excellent, and we had wine and beer, with our meal, we plan on going back before we leave Wexford.👌

15/08/2026: The expectations were high with all the great reviews. We got chicken fillet burger, very plain taste, with almost no sauce. My kid got fish and chips, yeah the fish is massive but blend taste. Chips though are amazing. Definitely wouldn't give a 5 start for the food but staff is very friendly

11/08/2026: Great fish and chips for only 16 euros; the portions are very large. If you're not a big eater, one portion is enough for two people. It's available for takeaway or to eat at the outdoor tables.

08/08/2026: Always visit Westgate for food and a browse but was so disappointed when I visited there last month with my grandson who has a serious nut allergy. Unfortunately the staff couldn’t guarantee that there would be no cross contamination with the foods and also no nut free foods on the menu could be seen either. Such a pity as I brought his mum and siblings in too so we all had to leave.

27/08/2026: Passed by so many times over the years but stopped yesterday! What a great meal, monkfish/scampi starter was excellent, pan fried Hake, superb! We will never pass without stopping in future, highly recommended!

06/09/2026: SAMANTHA is a fabulous server! We had the hake and sole dinners then a lemon and coconut dessert. A gem in Wexford for high quality local food in a quaint, boutique style restaurant.

22/08/2026: Dropped in to use a last minute table for 2. Felt welcomed and food and wine were lovely and all for a reasonable price.

04/07/2026: Arrived with big family group, brilliant service, fantastic service, kids had selection of pancakes. Good coffee and huge portions (rare these days)

27/06/2026: We had a fantastic lunch here today. Coffee was beautiful aswell. Free lunch plate of fruit and vegetables for our 9 month old baby was really appreciated. Great spot and definitely a place to stop in while you're in Gorey.
