01/07/2025: I loved the bartender out front. He was really personable and shared a tip for where to eat the next night when the pub was closed. It took a while to be seated and then for our food to come out, but we enjoyed a beverage while we waited. Most of us ordered the special...steak and Guinness pie. It was pretty good, came with fries. I didn't know there'd be mushrooms, so I had to pull them out. The desserts were a hit as there was Pavlov and fruit, dticky pudding, and a brownie with ice cream...yum! Too bad the pub isn't open again while we are here so we could try other menu items. It is open Thurs-Sunday only.

03/06/2025: We booked a late lunch/early dinner as Bridal Shower celebrations. From start to finish, the team were so helpful, patient and attentive, despite being a large group of 16. The food was some of the best I’ve ever had. Cannot wait to visit again

08/06/2025: Was here for brunch today and was suprised by the low quality after hearing good things about the place. Ordered an americano with milk and the glass they handed me with the milk in it was so filthy it was disgusting. The hash dish my other half ordered was drenched in a pool of oil, so much so she couldnt finish half of it and the chorizo was poor and tasted off. Buttermilk chicken i got was burnt also drenched in oil. All the while we waitied for a seat for 10 mins abd a further 15 mins to order after that. Never again.

06/06/2025: We found this place last Sunday and we can say the food was amazing... We went for the smash burger and chicken burger with skinny fries and add ons and it was just the best smashed burger I've ever had.. The thing was absolutely Hugh and the missus chicken burger was just impressive.... Highly recommended and the prices are good for the portion sizes... And the staff are very informative and helpful.... Great place.... 10/10

19/06/2025: This is a lovely brunch/ lunch spot in New Ross. The staff are always super friendly and accommodating. The food is high quality; albeit sometimes lacking a bit of flavour. Nothing a bit of salt won’t help! Great value for money.

26/06/2025: This was our second meal here. Both were very good but I especially enjoyed the Greek salad. The dressing was light and flavorful with lots of feta and olives. The staff are friendly and attentive.

06/07/2025: I visited The Old Granary yesterday to celebrate my birthday, and unfortunately, I left feeling very disappointed with the overall experience – particularly with the service and communication from the restaurant. To begin with, booking for more than 8 people was needlessly difficult. The website advised calling for larger groups, but despite trying to ring the restaurant three times throughout the day, no one answered. I resorted to emailing, clearly explaining it was for a birthday celebration, requesting to change the booking to 10 people and asking for a cosy corner with confirmation. I received a response the following day – just one poorly written sentence without a full stop, simply saying the booking was changed to 10. No greeting, no apology, no confirmation tone – not what I’d expect from a professional establishment. Upon arrival, the restaurant was extremely hot and stuffy. We had to ask for fans to be turned on, and even then, the temperature remained uncomfortably high. What made matters worse was the overly pushy approach from the waiter. Within the first 10 minutes of sitting down – before I even had my drink – I was questioned about a guest who hadn’t yet arrived. I explained they were running late, but the waiter continued pressuring us to order quickly and reminded us that we could only stay until 7 or 7:15pm. He even suggested I send the menu to my friend so they could place an order by phone, which I found completely inappropriate and intrusive. What should have been a relaxed and celebratory meal felt rushed and uncomfortable from the very beginning. It’s disheartening to be having these awkward conversations on your birthday before the drinks even arrive. To top it off, when the bill came – which totaled around €500 – the same waiter pointed at my partner and told him he needed to pay the bill. I found this extremely presumptuous and unprofessional. That kind of comment is simply out of line. When the guest who was running late finally arrived, the waiter attempted some odd and poorly received jokes – including suggesting she drink her sauce through a straw. It just added to the discomfort of an already disappointing evening. All in all, I’ve never been treated this way at a restaurant, especially not when we were spending a significant amount of money. The entire experience was lacking in professionalism and hospitality. Sadly, I wouldn’t return, and I can’t recommend The Old Granary based on this visit.

05/07/2025: Food ok, coffee very good, but waiting times equal to those of the post office on a strike day. They apologized several times anyway. Little attention to detail, like the dirty table so much that we had to ask why it was clean. Possible children around screaming. They accept dogs, outside and maybe inside (but only puppies).

01/07/2025: Went here as this was one of the most recommended place in Wexford, for a reason! The food here is good, the vibe is good and it’s really special. I’d say I had the best mushrooms ever here! It’s simple yet the flavor was really fresh and amazing!
