18/10/2025: Decided to give Heavenly Cafe a try having never dropped in before. Really friendly owners . Pictures of the entire menu was really helpful. Cheap prices and the full Irish was lovely. Took a desert to go also which was to die for. Will definitely be back for lunch some other time soon.

16/10/2025: We loved this place. We'll definitely be back. Besides the food being wonderful, the atmosphere is beautiful and cozy, the person who served us was incredible, very attentive, and at the end, they treated us to a private show.

24/10/2025: A detour from Waterford city traffic took us to Passage East car ferry and I suggested if Strand Tavern is open I would treat himself...he had never eaten there before I had so was hoping he wouldn't be disappointed He wasn't and neither was I. The service and the food is second to none. Big portions of the tastiest fish dishes we have ever had. He had the best chowder he ever had and I had a starter of smoked salmon and the special "Lemon Sole". Never mind paying for quality and hats off to all...a wonderful evening spent in The Strand Tavern.💯👏

15/08/2025: We ordered the taco fries and lasagne. I was very impressed with the large portion size and the taco fries were marvelous. The interior was pretty and baby facilities were decent. Staff were helpful.

08/10/2025: Getting the evening ferry? Stop here first and have really superb fish and chips, some of the best I've ever tasted. Beautiful succulent haddock, light crispy batter, chips with no grease and even the mushy peas were definitely superior. Served in a box with tartare sauce and a lemon wedges. Gosh I wish this was my local chippy!

13/08/2025: Great coffee and amazing cakes. Sweet dreams also provided a treat table and cake for our wedding and it was amazing and delicious. Would highly recommend.

07/11/2025: 2 years later from orig Visited again today and absolutely superb. 👌 brought my mum who LOVED it and is already planning lunch with her friends. Well done. We had the Hake special. Zero alcohol mc Ivor cider (delish) & hot raspberry scone! Orig Yum! Went here for Lunch a few weeks ago with my Sister who had recommended it having had breakfast there. I had the most delicious pulled pork sandwich with an amazing apple based sauce on . The hostess was lovely and so welcoming plus I just love the chilled out vibe and decor. Going back today!

02/11/2025: When I saw they did BBQ we had already planned on coming, but the fact our local guesthouse owner also recommended them sealed the deal. Really cosy pub, early Saturday night, and got the last free table. The staff were lovely and fast. The food is just next-level. There is something primal about smoky charred meat on a bone. I loved it and will come again.

08/12/2025: We had our staff night at The Sky and The Ground in a reserved area for 25 people and it was fantastic. The bar staff were great all night, friendly & attentive. Everyone had a brilliant time. Thanks guys

Newbay House was the very first venue on our list, and after arranging a guided tour with Maria Power, the venue manager, we quickly realized we didn’t need to look any further. From the moment we stepped through the front door, we knew Newbay was something truly special — a magical venue with breathtaking gardens and an intimate charm. It offers the feeling of an exclusive country house, yet is only minutes from Wexford Town. Maria, Rachel, and the entire Newbay team were outstanding. Their attention to detail and genuine care were second to none. They guided us every step of the way — after all, Maria and her team are experts in weddings, while we were complete novices! Thanks to them, we felt fully supported and stress-free throughout the process. When our big day arrived, we were blessed with beautiful weather and able to hold our ceremony outside in the stunning landscaped gardens. Everything ran with military precision — from the drinks reception to the wedding breakfast, the music, and the disco — and our guests enjoyed every moment. The food was a particular highlight; everyone raved about its exceptional quality throughout the day. What makes Newbay even more special is the accommodation. We were able to host our closest family and friends overnight at the venue itself, while other guests stayed at Newbay’s sister property, the Talbot Hotel in Wexford Town. The complimentary shuttle bus provided at the end of the night was a brilliant touch that everyone appreciated. We firmly believe that “people don’t do business with businesses — they do business with people.” Maria, Rachel, and the entire Newbay team embody this belief. They were exemplary in every way, and we cannot recommend them highly enough. We have the most magical memories from our special day at Newbay House — memories we will cherish forever.
