The best restaurants in Dublin

19/04/2025: Went into Zaytoon in Temple Bar and got the mixed doner – absolutely solid choice. The meat was generous, juicy, and full of flavour – a great mix of chicken and lamb. I got it with garlic and chili sauce, which gave it a nice bit of heat without being too much. It’s not wrapped like a kebab roll – it comes open on a plate with a soft, fresh pita on the side to scoop everything up. Really satisfying, and the portion was big enough to leave me properly full. Staff were friendly and service was quick even though it was busy. Definitely a great spot for a casual bite in the city centre. I’ll be back for sure.

14/04/2025: Teddy’s in Dún Laoghaire is a place with a special atmosphere. I tried their famous 99 cone for the first time during a walk along the pier. The soft, creamy ice cream with the classic Cadbury Flake was genuinely tasty, and the salty sea breeze made the experience even better. There’s usually a long queue, which adds to the authenticity, but sometimes you wish the service were a bit quicker. Still, there’s something nice about waiting alongside people who, just like you, came for a simple moment of joy. I appreciated that Teddy’s is more than just ice cream — it’s part of local history and culture. That said, while the taste and quality were good, they didn’t quite blow me away. Maybe it’s a matter of expectations. Overall, it’s a great spot worth returning to — especially in summer. A solid 4 stars: tasty, heartwarming, but without a wow factor.

14/02/2025: What a wonderful place to be in blackrock! The staff at insomnia were fantastic, increadibly kind and helpful after I accidentally spilt my coffee, they couldn’t have been nicer, and made me a fresh one! Great service and great coffee. Well done to the team!

21/10/2024: I encountered a rude security guard who tried to kick me off the campus. I was standing next to the old main entrance when he came up to me and told me to leave. I was about to exit the building anyway, but I felt rushed by this security guard. I'm sure the classes on this campus are perfectly adequate, but the security staff could do with being a bit more respectful. I've never had any issues with security on the Glasnevin campus, despite spending far more time there.

24/01/2025: I absolutely love it! When I entered it for the first time I was surprised on how much bigger it was from the inside. It's a perfect, quiet spot, very comfy, and the shelves of books available to read are very interesting. The one which caught my attention the most was about The Rolling Stones.

23/04/2025: Before its demise, this institution proved that controlled entropy could be an art form. Graffiti layers accumulated at measurable annual rates across bathroom surfaces. The smoking area's school bus installation demonstrated remarkable structural integrity despite constant occupation.

04/04/2025: Bland menu - 80% is Chorizo based. Very little beef or fish. We ordered a variety of dishes, one of which was potatoes and chorizo which arrived with absolutely no seasoning or sauce, literally just tiny cubes of chorizo with over fried potato cubes. We also ordered chorizo sausage which arrived as a simple pork sausage! Really disappointing. Drink was overpriced with a glass of prosecco at €10 and bottle beer at €7.50. The terrace was cold and empty with no attempt at heating or comfort. The entire experience was bad. We have been many times before but have noticed a gradual decline in quality and menu options. Sandly we won't be returning again. It's become overpriced and not worth the effort.

20/04/2025: amazing customer service and very authentic food. the atmosphere was super accurate to the 50s diner feel! absolutely loved our server and the food was amazing. all of us completely cleared our plates. photo is of the chicken tenders red basket!
