McGowans Of Harolds Cross

Dublin
08/05/2025: Dodgy looking dive. Took forever to get served. Time warp from 1974 or so.
09/03/2025: Nice open pub that also has a large snug area. Pleasant staff and a good range of beers. Scarcity of nearby parking is an issue though

Saba To Go

Dublin
01/06/2025: Tasty dishes offered. Friendly staff. The Shopping Village Kildare free parking.
28/04/2025: Alan from catering was so diligent and attentive from smart to finish. No task or change was a problem and he went above and beyond to make our event as seamless as possible! The food was absolutely superb and was highly complimented by guests. I couldn’t recommend Saba To Go more for catering events especially for different dietary requirements

Captain Americas

Dublin
28/05/2025: Captain America's, Grafton Street: A Former Favourite Falls From Grace It's with a heavy heart that I write this review for Captain America's on Grafton Street, a restaurant that was once my go-to for good food and excellent service in the heart of Dublin. For years, whether it was a quiet meal with my wife or a lively gathering with family and friends, Captain America's consistently delivered. Sadly, my most recent visit revealed a drastic decline, making it clear that Captain America is well and truly dead. The decline seems to have coincided with the departure of Fatima, a truly remarkable individual who greeted us on countless occasions. She managed the operation like a general, ensuring seamless service, perfectly prepared food, and a fantastic atmosphere. It's evident now that the high standards my family and I cherished left with her. Our recent family gathering of five was a stark contrast to previous visits. Upon arrival, the noticeable quietness of the usually bustling restaurant was the first red flag. Despite only about five other tables being occupied, our order took over 30 minutes to arrive. When it finally did, some dishes were cold and had to be sent back – not a good start at all. However, the real disappointment lay in the food itself. The New Yorker burger, once a favourite, was an utter disaster. It looked as if it had been "mugged in New York" rather than carefully constructed. With flat, lifeless lettuce, an amateurishly cooked egg, and a patty that tasted like the sole of an old shoe, it was arguably the worst burger I've had in Dublin City. The chicken wings were hard, and another chicken dish was dry and unappetizing. I could go on, but I think you get the picture. It gives me no pleasure to say this, but I wholeheartedly recommend you avoid Captain America's on Grafton Street at all costs. This restaurant is a prime example of how to run a once-great establishment into the ground. Fatima, if you're reading this, you are sorely missed. I sincerely hope your new employer (if you're still in the industry) truly appreciates your exceptional talent. It's obvious that you were the heart of what was once a truly great diner. It's such a letdown when a place with sentimental value disappoints.
21/05/2025: Found this place and lots of music history if that what you like. Food and services were great

Eden House

Dublin
30/05/2025: 2019 was the last time I dined in the evening in the Eden as moved away. Carvery in the day very good but so disappointed with our experience Wednesday evening I had the falafel burger and my companion had the chicken Alfredo His portion small for a main course. Mine was too spicey and lacked imagination. Couldn't believe the price increases 28e for salmon course. 7.40 for a pint of shandy 6e for a side of veg which were cooked from frozen and not fully cooked. Nearly 70e total for very little Even atmosphere has changed
21/05/2025: This was a great place to meet up and also have some food. Very friendly staff, which is always a bonus.

Dakota

Dublin
12/06/2025: The drinks were good, the food great and the staff – wonderful!! Thank you to the whole team for everything – but a special big thank you to Yamina & Suellen who went above and beyond!
07/06/2025: I was here with friends having a few after work drinks. I went to order a round and the bar tender walked off as I was in the middle of ordering the drinks, which was incredibly rude, I had to follow him all the way down to the taps and finish telling him the order. When I politely and calmly said to him that he walked away while I was still ordering, he got very hostile towards me and said I didn't walk away I was coming back and then said do you want the drinks or not. The manger was standing over this situation and was just waiting to take the drinks back. I decided that their attitude was not welcomeing so I decided to not take the drinks. Then the manger followed me outside and started talking to the bouncer and pointing at me and my friends and had us escorted out of the smoking area by the bouncer. We spent about €200 there that night and we were treated like scumbags. I am not happy with how I was treated and I will be telling people not to go here. The bar staff in the small bar out the back are very nice. The bar staff in the big bar are not. The managment seem to be very hostile towards paying customers. No problem, I'll give someone else my money.

Pastel King

Dublin
10/06/2025: Typical Brazilian pastel, with a crispy crust and a variety of fillings. If you're trying to avoid greasy food, stay away — it's quite oily, especially towards the end. The coxinhas are also a good option. The place is very small and busy, so most of times you will find dirty tables.
05/06/2025: Best pastel in Dublin! I love the staffs there

Costa Coffee Belgard

Dublin
02/05/2025: Absolute demons and racists. I was just organising my bible and eating headphones in, on my own table, in my own space. The all of a sudden this worker named " Michela " kept on walking back and forward giving me dirty looks till the point she asked me if I ordered anything, I said yes and she percieved to go downstairs. Definitley don't go here if ur black vibes where already bad from the second I walked in and I got stared down, heads turnt from nannies/yt people. They're so shocked there acting like they never seen a person of colour in their life??? Costa staff if you read this I ask that you fire this worker I felt so uncomfortable I had to read a bible verse – The verse from Proverbs 29:25 states, "Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe." (New International Version). This verse emphasizes that prioritizing the opinions of others can lead to a dangerous trap, while trusting in God provides safety and security.
02/05/2025: Nice big place with multiple floors.
