Raheny Inn
Dublin
23/08/2025: A pub which is great for GAA games or Ireland football matches. If that's your thing. Very casual. Hasn't changed in decades. Crooners and wedding style cover bands are the norm on specific nights. Tuesday is pensioners night, where the retired community dance and sing to all the old classics. Which is wonderful to witness. It's a space for the working classes to drink and dance away their troubles and fall out the door, into Macaris for a batter-burger and curry-chips afterwards. It's a place to go if you don't fancy dressing up. Suburbia personified, but everyone leaves with a smile, with mascara running down their face and it takes 20 minutes to pile them into a taxi. It's a place to go if you want to talk, after a relationship break up or take your bit on the side. That's the Lounge. There is a separate Bar, which is a small space for old men to drink in peace and watch sports on the telly, who turn around every time someone walks in the door. Friendly and attentive staff.
21/08/2025: Great pub with live bands most nights of the week. They can do food platters for special occasions. Taxi rank 1 minute away and local chipper 1 minute away. Bus stops close by.

Eccles Townhouse
Dublin
03/08/2025: When we arrived, our room wasn't quite ready yet, so we passed the time waiting in the small attached cafe. The room was nicely furnished and clean, and the noise from the adjacent street didn't bother us. Breakfast was served in the cafe and was delicious. The city center was about a 30-minute walk away or a 20-minute bus ride away. We were able to leave our suitcases at the accommodation even after checking out.
18/06/2025: Honestly one of the best stays I had visiting Dublin. Really enjoyed this place as it was easy to walk around in Dublin and get back to here. The staff is great and the breakfast was so good! Don’t hesitate to book this place. I stayed in January so I’m a little late in posting but definitely enjoyed my stay and had to review.

The Shakespeare
Dublin
03/04/2025: The Shakespeare shares its space with the Korean food place and it is a match made in heaven!
The food options are great, the beer selection is really varied with some personal favourites.
Service can be a bit slow when it's busy.
Luas station is directly in front so easily reachable but also means lots of foot traffic if you want to step out for a smoke.
All in all a curious combination that deserves being checked out!
22/02/2025: Amazing authentic Corean food. Was just perfect.

Shanai
Dublin
07/09/2025: Best Authentic Indian Restaurant in Dublin without a doubt ! The food is packed with real flavors — fresh naan, perfectly spiced curries, and a biryani that’s full of aroma, my favourite is “Mixed Biriyani”. Nothing feels watered down, it’s true Indian cooking done right. The staff are warm, friendly, and always happy to recommend dishes. Great portions, fair prices, and a cozy atmosphere. If you love genuine Indian food, this is the place to go if you’re around South Dublin!
06/06/2025: I had high hopes for Shanai, given its promise of authentic Indian flavours, but unfortunately, the experience fell flat. The food was underwhelming – lacking the bold spices and richness you’d expect from Indian cuisine. Dishes tasted bland and uninspired, missing the depth and warmth that define a good Indian meal.
Service was equally lacklustre, with staff seeming disengaged and the overall atmosphere failing to make up for the culinary shortcomings. Compared to other Indian restaurants in Dublin that deliver on both flavour and hospitality, Shanai simply doesn’t hold up.
If you’re looking for an authentic and flavourful Indian dining experience, there are certainly better options elsewhere in the city.

Buswells Hotel
Dublin
10/10/2025: Buswells is centrally located, a short stroll from St. Stephen's Green, Trinity College, Grafton Street and many other visitor attractions.
06/10/2025: My friend had previously stayed at Buswells and had always enjoyed her visit here. On entering I was struck by the wonderful ambience. It reminded me of The Edwardian period with a modern twist.Sumptuous lounge with an open fire which added to its grandeur. Great location, friendly staff and delicious breakfast in the beautiful dining room. Great location for Trinity College and Grafton Street. Highly recommended and will definitely return.

Soren & Son
Dublin
25/10/2025: Comes across as very stuck up and arrogant , nicer places around.
25/10/2025: Soren & Son has such a relaxed, feel-good vibe, the kind of place you want to linger. Loved the Colombian batch brew, super flavorful and smooth. The banana bread was a little on the dry side, but the big windows, natural light, and friendly staff definitely make up for it. A cozy spot for a calm coffee break.
