The best restaurants in Dublin

07/06/2025: Dined here with my brother in law before a match. Staff were welcoming and friendly and made us feel at home. The food was exceptional . We both had the special - half lobster with scallops and prawns. It was incredible.

10/03/2025: I’m genuinely puzzled by the one-star reviews for The Swallows – this place is a gem! It's exactly the kind of friendly spot where the staff always remembering a local face and make you feel right at home. The pints? Hands down the best in Clondalkin, if you ask me. Honestly, I can’t fault the place. If you want good company, a great pint, and an atmosphere that feels like you’ve walked into your favorite neighbor's living room, The Swallows is the place to be. Ignore the naysayers – this pub’s a top spot for sure!

30/05/2025: The bartender asked me to shake the cocktails while making it. Drinks ended up half full after showing off to me. At the end he said he would rather me do that undressed (changing the wording due to not being able to post my review) I won’t come back here

28/07/2025: A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Dalkey Absolutely loved this place! The coffee was smooth and full of flavour — clearly high-quality beans and great barista work. The atmosphere is cozy and thoughtfully designed, with just the right music and light to make you want to stay for hours. Staff were genuinely friendly without being overbearing. It’s now my go-to spot whenever I’m in the area!

13/07/2025: The BEST iced mocha I’ve ever had! Popped in here today whilst I was in Dalkey and ordered an iced mocha - tried it and was amazed at how lovely it was! There were little flakes of Belgian milk chocolate through it! It was simply devine!! They were super friendly in there too. Highly recommend!

29/07/2025: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely blown away! We stopped in at Ultimate Coffee for a quick coffee and were completely amazed. We were just handed one of the most delicious coffees we’ve ever tasted—beautifully crafted by Carlton, a truly wonderful barista. The coffee tastes every bit as good as it looks. Friendly service, great atmosphere, and outstanding quality. We’ll definitely be back!

25/04/2025: He comido de astilladoras por toda Irlanda y más allá. Mis hijos ordenan comida para llevar de Liberos y muchos otros puntos de venta. Todos estamos de acuerdo en que las fichas de Liberos son consistentemente las mejores que existen.

25/04/2025: I have eaten from chippers all over Ireland and beyond. My sons order take aways from Liberos and multiple other outlets. We all agree that the chips from Liberos are consistently the best out there.

12/06/2025: place was renovated, better service than 3 years ago, a lot of great options, you can choose hotpot and/or kbbq if there are 3 or more people, they have pork, beef, chiclen, lamb, fish... if yiu didnt knkw already, you cook for yourself here, you get to cook for your own taste so y9u cant really say the food here is bpand or too salty. you can make your own sauces and add veggies and such, really good kimchi too

28/06/2025: Dreadful. Insulted after paying almost €10 for a salad I could have made for €2 from supermarket ingredients. Key fajita veg ingredients missing...why else would you order from a Mexican restaurant. Good customer service would involve notifying the customer these items are not available before ordering a rare treat. Don't use this restaurant!!

Conseguir comida y luego hacer cola para pagar significaba que la comida estaba fría, especialmente cuando la persona continuaba hasta que tomó siglos tratar de encontrar artículos. La comida tenía potencial para ser bueno, pero el servicio lo decepcionó.

08/07/2025: Spice bag tray was very good! Not the stringy chicken. Fresh chips and the spicy chicken burger was very good, I think they put pepperoni in it also which was nice. Everything was cooked fresh to order, better chipper than those here in swords

19/05/2025: Disappointing Experience at Sanda Mediterranean I rarely write reviews, but I felt it was important to share what we witnessed during our visit. A very polite and lovely man approached the restaurant to place an order, and instead of being greeted kindly, he was treated very rudely by the manager. When he asked if he could sit outside, the manager responded dismissively, asking where he was sitting. The man pointed outside where the man's wife was sitting but the manager immediately said, “No, you’re not,” claiming the seat was reserved for Mick. When the man asked if they could sit inside instead, the manager again refused, saying the table was reserved for someone else, and then laughed at him. Even the staff seemed shocked by this behavior and asked why the reserved signs weren’t put on the tables, but the manager just shrugged it off and laughed. The man was left standing there, visibly upset, while the manager went back to chatting with other customers who appeared uncomfortable with what had just happened. This kind of treatment is unacceptable and unnecessary. We paid for our drinks and decided to leave after witnessing this exchange. The manager or owner should apologize to that man for the way he was spoken to and treated. Such behavior reflects poorly on the establishment, and I hope it improves for future customers. Sadly, this experience has made us decide not to return.

06/07/2025: I tried the Doner Kebab and the Spice Box, but unfortunately, both didn’t meet my expectations. The flavours were lacking, and the Spice Box was overly spicy without much taste balance.

16/06/2025: The donair / gyro sauce was “odd” like a bbq sauce. Maybe thats the way in Ireland. Not a fan but it was ok. Generous portions and everything else was great

21/05/2025: Take away. Disappointed as very little veg in the dish which was vegetarian An awful lot of noodles Carrots thinly grated and not much more veg. Delivery charge at nearly 5 euros is too high for a short trip

27/06/2025: I miss the old location! The new place doesn't fit the Jackie's vibe I find. Great drinks, but not what it used to be in my opinion and the prices are just okay.

23/06/2025: Started out well, music was good. First cocktail was fab. Not a big fan of the Calpol cocktail, most of the group left them. Our waitress was lovely. Ordered 2 spicy margs, drink them all the time. They were way too spicy. Asked nicely if they could make them a bit less spicy. One of our group heard the manager giving out about us, I asked to speak to him explaining that there was no issue just too spicy. He was so rude and had such an attitude. I was really taken aback as none of us like to complain but that reaction was uncalled for. Left a poor taste in everyone's mouths and we left then. Group of 9, that was the only complaint. Won't be back!

28/05/2025: THE WORST DINING EXPERIENCE EVER, an absolute disgrace to the so called management. The restaurant was busy with a confirmation when we arrived which was fine but once the group of about 25 adults & over 20 children finishing eating, the restaurant turned into what I can only describe as a circus with both teenagers & younger kids literally running up & down between the tables chasing & shouting at each other. Children are naturally noisy & boisterous when they get together but we werent in McDonalds and not one parent told their kids to sit down or be somewhat quiet & no respect was shown for us and other paying customers who had trouble having a conversation because of the volume of shouting.While the staff had trouble accessing the other tables to serve food, we were amazed that the manageress watched on & did absolutely nothing to address the situation. When we complained she simply agreed that the behaviour in a restaurant setting was out of order & blamed the parents for not keeping their children under contol. I blame the management for their inaction in allowing it to happen. I have no problem with children's parties but I certainly don't want to sit in the middle of one to eat my dinner & pay restaurant prices for it.
