Il Valentino Bakery & Cafe
Dublin
26/07/2026: It s a very high quality place and the staff is very kind and helpful, any requests you have for them they will have you happy as much as they can.
09/07/2026: In my opinion it's probably the only place in Dublin where you can get a decent, proper espresso.
Usually when I order an espresso I'm met with what resembles a small americano, rather than a small shot of coffee.
The coffee in here is excellent too and they have a lovely selection of pastries, id love to see a pasticciotto on the menu but that's not a criticism at all, great place.

Camile Thai
Dublin
15/07/2026: I’ve ordered from Camile Thai Lucan a few times now and it never disappoints. The dishes are fresh, authentic, and really well seasoned. Portions are generous and everything arrives hot. The team are super polite and responsive. Even when it’s busy they keep you updated and make sure everything is right.
Great value too. Will definitely be ordering again!
15/07/2026: Disappointing service experience.
When I arrived to collect my order, the staff member was in the office/cabin on a loud video call and didn’t even notice that customers were waiting. She was speaking loudly, and despite the chef seeing me standing there (I even waved at him), there was no acknowledgement or response.
After waiting around 15 minutes, I went back to collect my order and found the same situation. The staff were chatting and laughing in the kitchen instead of attending to waiting customers. Only after the chef noticed me again did the staff member come out to hand over my food.
The food was fine, but the customer service and attentiveness were very disappointing. A simple acknowledgement or update while customers are waiting would make a big difference.

Proper Order Coffee Co
Dublin
30/07/2026: This was one of my favourite spots in the hood, but now it’s 6.75 for a small takeaway matcha latte .. that’s insane
02/07/2026: Yikes!!! I guess this is one of those places that is popular enough that the staff don’t feel like they need to be nice to you. Although no one was necessarily rude to me, it felt like the people working here either don’t like their jobs or just don’t like interacting with you. I got an iced coffee with dulce de leche which was 6.50, it wasn’t mixed properly so the dulce was at the bottom and it was kind of lumpy: the potato focaccia was the same price, and it was kind of stale and the potato bits were raw inside… so really crunchy. not great. For those prices it should be better - and I’m someone who works in a cafe so I understand why the cost is like this, but in every aspect of it, I wanted to like this place but it was just…. Bad

Weston Restaurant
26/07/2026: Today, my friend visited and ordered the Bacon Royale brunch. Unfortunately, the avocado served with it was black and clearly spoiled, which was quite alarming. It’s concerning that food was served without being properly checked, as this could potentially make someone sick.
When my friend informed the waitress, her response was simply, “Okay, if you don’t want to eat it, we’ll get you a fresh one.” There was no apology or acknowledgment of the issue, which was very disappointing. While replacing the food was the right thing to do, a sincere apology and better attention to food quality would have made a big difference
24/07/2026: Nice food.....lovely atmosphere

I absolutely love this place! The coffee is always fresh and delicious, and the staff are super friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxing — perfect for studying, meeting friends, or just enjoying a quiet moment.
They also have a nice selection of pastries and sandwiches, all made with great quality. You can really tell they care about what they do. Definitely one of the best cafés in Dublin — highly recommended!

Hairy Lemon
Dublin
26/07/2026: Solid food, had the Guinness and Beef stew which tasted fantastic. Service great although you could tell a little tricky due to business. Loved the atmosphere and would go again!
26/07/2026: 10/15/2024
We were able to eat here twice. The first was our initial pub upon entering Ireland! What a great first meal. The place feels like am Irish old pub and the pint of Guinness was perfect. There were locals in here and tourists alike, so a great mix. The food was wonderful. The Irish lamb stew was wonderful and the Guinness beef stew was wonderful with the bread served with it. The fish and chips were good, but not the best I had while in Ireland.
We returned for a late night drink and the place was overrun with locals. That made our night. Sitting and listening to the wonderful conversations and feeling like we just belonged in Dublin.
Super friendly when we entered and offered great seating options. Service is always slow in Europe, expect it and just fit in with it. It is great to sit and eat and listen and enjoy without feeling rushed! Placed our $1.00 bill on the wall and thanked everyone for a great time.
DON'T MISS THIS PUB!
