24/11/2025: A minor drawback: The room was superb, but the window hooks weren't working (they were broken). Overall, a very nice hotel with a warm welcome and a generous and friendly breakfast... Thank you for your hospitality; I recommend it to everyone.

12/07/2025: Coffee was pretty average, about the same as most chain shops in Dublin. There’s extensive seating with comfy looking couches, and a couple pastry options. If you’re in the area and don’t need to sit down, we liked Bear Market better.

02/05/2026: Excellent restaurant! I had the Rustica pizza and the Torta di Banoffi for dessert, and frankly, both were delicious. You might think the dessert would be too sweet, but I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to eat! I highly recommend it, especially since the service was very friendly and there was a beautiful sea view!

11/05/2026: A wonderful surprise! This restaurant is incredibly elegant and the welcome is more than pleasant; we felt truly pampered. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal; the dishes were as beautifully presented as they were delicious.

15/02/2026: Had 3 courses, hummus starter was delish, Main chicken Burger was underwhelming, and white choc mousse dessert was tasty. Server was so helpful, very attentive. Nice surroundings but I dont know if I'd go out of my way to eat there again.

05/05/2026: Really Love a relaxing beer in the sheds. Nice people and nice pints. They have a smoking area out back too with heaters, which is great! Been coming here once a week since I've found this wonder of a bar. Wanted to give 5 stars for food but they don't serve any. They do have crisps, bacon fries, scampi fries, peanuts etc. My friend has developed a bit of an addiction to Nobbys Nuts which have become very popular recently. I've no doubt if they did have food it would be top notch just like the beverages. As is the buz around the place, positive, chilled, great people, love coming here with the girls after work ♥

05/05/2026: Lovely little spot for a few pints. Always show the sporting events on multiple TV's. Good atmosphere, nice clientèle and outstanding pints and service. Bar workers are really nice people too. There's Some cool photos around the pub that brings you back in time. Coming back soon with my nephew who likes to watch Liverpool whenever they're playing.

18/08/2025: Amazing!!! We were here three evenings ensuite. And the best was the singer today (name??) Thanx for the Guinness. Espacially the two ladies behind the bar!! Incredible!! How fast they work and at the same time so relaxed, even singing and dancing during pressing the beer. Sorry for my horrible english- greetings from Ilka and Peter from Berlin/Germany

01/06/2026: This was an amazing experience. For only the second time having oysters I have to say I’m really enjoying them more and more. This restaurant has very fresh oysters and many ways prepared. I definitely enjoyed them. Also the normal fish was very fresh tasting. Absolutely one of the greatest places to eat.

01/06/2026: By far, this was our best dining experience during our time in Dublin. I had the best chowder of my life and the main dishes exceeded expectations. Most notably, my husband ordered the sole, and it was the best seafood we both had ever eaten. We were also able to sit at the bar and see our meals being prepared. It was a wonderful dinner experience, and next time we’re in Dublin, we’ll be visiting again. Thank you!

02/04/2026: 2.70 for a blackcurrant and 8.20 for a bottle of corona. Are these lads right in the head? Do not come here.

23/03/2026: Great pub to stop in, with a good atmosphere and a comfortable room. Having a drinks menu would be a nice addition, as there are already quite a lot of choices and options.

06/01/2026: We visited The Port House recently again, we had been before some time ago and were looking forward to some lovely Spanish tapas, but unfortunately, several dishes fell short of expectations. The Croquetas de Jamón were decent but a bit on the greasy side. The Gambas al Pil Pil lacked flavour entirely—no garlic, chili, or sear—and we couldn't finish them. We mentioned this to our waitress, who kindly offered a replacement, but we declined to avoid food waste, and the dish was removed from the bill without issue. The Chorizo al Vino was okay (I finished most of it as I was hungry), and the Patatas Rotas were average but acceptable. However, the Chicken Paella was mushy with an off flavor (kinda fishy), and we barely touched it (this wasn't adjusted on the bill). We had a couple of nice cocktails: Atlantic Twist and Clover Club. Our glasses of wine were fine, and our server was genuinely friendly and attentive. The front-of-house host, though, came across as quite unwelcoming upon arrival. Overall, a disappointing meal compared to what we'd hoped for based on previous visits.. Service from the waitress was a highlight.

03/05/2026: We had a frustrating experience at a restaurant in Ireland that’s advertised as open until 11 PM. We walked in at 8:30 and were told they were “closed,” even though plenty of people were still inside eating. The interaction felt cold and dismissive, and it honestly seemed like once they realized we were American, they just didn’t want to serve us. To make it more confusing, the bar downstairs told us they were open and sent us upstairs for food, only to be turned away. It left us feeling unwelcome and disappointed.

02/05/2026: Everything is ok. The food is much tastier in Romania.
