The best restaurants in Dublin

30/04/2026: If you’re studying at IBAT, this is easily one of the best spots to grab a coffee nearby. The coffee is absolutely delicious 🤩 consistently high quality and made with care. What really makes this place stand out, though, is the owner. He’s a genuinely great guy who always goes the extra mile to provide excellent service. You’re not just another customer here, he makes you feel welcome every time. Highly recommended for anyone around IBAT looking for a great coffee and a friendly atmosphere.

15/07/2026: Delicious food and quick service. We were sat quickly and had two waiters taking care of us. They were lovely, efficient and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our food and our pints. The person who I guessed to be the manager/supervisor took a while getting to us after asking for the bill, a little too non-chalant for my taste. But again our waiters were great.

20/07/2026: My first time to visit grasshopper pub Clonee. A very beautiful lady was on duty really professional polite and attentive. The food was lovely all be it they give you loads.

Run by an extremely capable and friendly staff to especially the young Dublin girl from Ballymun. unfortunately I can't remember her name but I think she'll know who she is. We were at the Gettrick/Mulligan wedding on Monday 20th April 2026. Very well done yto all concerned. P.

03/06/2026: I bought a new build in knocklyon in 1984 and delanys was my local. I absolutely loved it there. Mick Delany, his wife and young Michael were the owners and nicer people you could never meet. Does anybody know if any of the family are still involved

02/06/2026: I stayed here in May 2026 and is a hidden gem in the middle of everything. Very quiet, safe and comfortable. Everything you want to see and do in Dublin is within walking distance. They have a restaurant and bar within the hotel. A grocery store just around the corner and numerous restaurants. I would highly recommend.

04/05/2026: An amazing stay! It was our first time in Dublin and the staff made you feel welcome almost immediately! We arrived at the hotel in the morning and knew that there may not be any rooms available yet, they still checked and apologized when there weren't any rooms. They happily took our bags so we can go sight see in the meantime. We went to sight see around the area and since this hotel is in such a great location, you can walk everywhere. Check in is usually at 3 but when they had a room available at 2 PM they called us and had our bags all ready in the room when we arrived. Each time we talked with them, they mentioned that they can help us find anything should we need it. Above and beyond helpful, friendly service. I would stay at this hotel every time, it really made us want to come back. The bathrooms are extremely clean, the water pressure is AMAZING, and shower amenities were great! The beds are comfortable, very clean. Honestly not a single complaint to be made, this is a great hotel. We had debated against the Mercantile and the Grafton, we walked by the area where the Mercantile is located and were so glad we chose the Grafton Hotel. It is in an area that is not overly crowded on the streets and extremely quiet for an area by the uni and so many bars. Lots to do in the area and you can venture out to more if you wish. We stayed at a 4 star hotel in London and it does NOT compare to the service, hotel itself, and location of the Grafton Hotel. Next time I would make a longer trip in Ireland, fly out and maybe do a day trip to London(if we wanted), and do day trips to different parts of Ireland instead. But always make sure to stay at the Grafton Hotel. Thank you for making our stay so comfortable.

22/07/2026: ☕✨ A lovely café with a warm and welcoming atmosphere 🥰. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive 😊, the café is spotless and beautifully kept 🧼🌿, and there’s a fantastic selection of delicious sandwiches 🥪, freshly made omelettes 🍳, tempting pastries 🥐, and delightful cakes 🍰. The coffee is excellent too ☕👌 - rich, smooth, and the perfect treat! Definitely worth a visit! 🌟🙌

15/07/2026: Would have been in frequently with family members, usually service is ok, food is good and no issues. Today, we were standing at the counter waiting to order, no acknowledgement from staff (2 members of staff, having a side conversation in what sounded like Portugese). While ordering, the male member of staff had what can best be described as 'attitude', he snapped at my mam 'its all heated' rather rudely when she asked to have the sandwich hot. We waited about 10 mins for 3 sandwich items and 3 lemonades. When we got the food, my Sister had been given the complete wrong item, I brought it up to the counter and politely said it to the male worker, who began saying she hadn't order the foccacia (I heard her, and my mam heard her) - he then acted confused before saying 'ok'. At this stage I sat down, and took a bite of my own food (Ham and Cheese Mini Bun) and it was cold - not lukewarm, cold. I brought it back and he had an aggressive attitude, he reheated the mini bun which was bitten into alongside the focassia (serious food safety breach), and didn't even have the courtesy to drop them down, etc. without me making a slight bit of a fuss (called up to the counter 'I've already been up 3 times, we're sitting here, thank you'). Probably won't go back as long as that employee is there, he had such a bad attitude and was hostile towards customers.

25/07/2026: This is an experienced chef (20 yrs) , entrepreneur and athlete's (calisthenist) review: We went there around 2.30pm. I don't know where to start. - tables were dirty with birds poos never cleaned in life I can say -few lads and teens pretending to be their chefs with their daily hoodies and track suits who meet 0 requirement of Food Safety and Hygiene requirements -their kitchen was as filthy as you can imagine - drinks were not in the fridge. they gave to us possibly directly from the case. Don't think they have fridge -No one knows what is going on behind the scene in your food and in their kitchen -I don't know how they are allowed like that by HSE inspectors -Nothing is grilled. It was not flame, char or flame grilled. IT IS HOT PLATE FRIED. COOKING SOMETHING ON HOT PLATE IS FRYING NOT GRILLING. Please remove the flame logo off your sign. - zero sanitary and hygiene care seen around -their prep area and stainless steel by the fryer were as moldy and filthy as you can imagine the list goes on - all sauces were from Sysco and Musgrave. They do not make any sauces. They put stickers on their dips and pretend it is their signature sauce. FOOD: We ordered classic burgers as described. They seemed around 50% fat 50% meat and some black pepper. Nothing else was in marination. Whether the meat was fresh or not or from when, God knows. ''the caramalized'' onion was pre cooked. Despite around 50% animal fat, lotsa of frying oil, cheese were added on the top patty. The beef was simply fried in oil I can say. Finally, this was given to us. The excess animal fat was smelling strongly disgusting.One bite, it was horrible. It could be perfect food for obese and junk food eating people not for people who know what food and what and how to eat food. we kept cleaning ours hands with wet tissue in the car. but we could not. we had to use perfume spray to kill the animal fat odour. Finally, I have to say, we WILL FAST FOR 72 hours but prefer not to eat such a junk food from such a filthy street atmosphere and such unprofessional and un-cleanly dressed staff, teens! IF YOU WANT TO DO AUTHENTIC AND PROPERLY PROFESSIONAL BURGER, THIS IS WHAT YOU SHOULD DO: FREE RECEIPE Marination: use 20% fat, 80% lean. use black, cumin, cajun spice, 7 spice, ground coriander, fresh coriander, fresh tomato tiny dice, tiny white diced onion, fresh garlic cloves not paste, salt, mix them and let them rest as least a hour. -Grill it ON FIRE/FLAME not HOT plate -toast your burger buns -make your suaces

04/07/2026: came across this place called hunger Hub in sandyford, was craving a smash burger so I thought why not. I'm not kidding I've had burgers from meat castles, five guys, Bleeker, black bear, shake shack, high joint, manna, supernova, junk, bake street literally can go on with all the places I've tried and I can honestly say in terms of actual meat flavour and taste this is probably one of my top 5. I had there double smash along with chicken strips and I was shocked by how good that burger was and for a fraction of a price with other places. Also if you go up the stairs there a great drinks places aswell. Absolutely phenomenal burger definitely visiting again

21/07/2026: Seriously, you are going to LOVE this gelato! It's the best you'll ever taste, hands down. Plus, they're super speedy, and you still get a decent amount. And wow, the taste is just incredible!

13/07/2026: We bought some ice cream and it was absolutely delicious. We were very well looked after, and Yoliztli, who served us, was incredibly kind and helpful. We had a few questions, and she answered everything very politely, while also giving us some great ice cream recommendations. We really appreciated her excellent service and enjoyed the whole experience. We will definitely be coming back!
