The best restaurants in Dublin

29/08/2025: We came here for some dinner on Thursday night. The girl at the front was very welcoming and gave us some menus while we waited (we were early). On the drinks menu it had their cocktails and then said underneath “Classics (just ask)” so I asked for a couple of different classics and they told me I could only order what’s on the menu 🤨 so I ended up just getting a soft drink. we ordered some food which was good, the corn ribs is a cool concept and the chicken tasted really good but the constant fruit flys in your face was really off putting and my partner ended up leaving his beer as there was flys in it. The staff were nice but no one checked on us once after we got our food and when we tried to get someone’s attention to ask for napkins as our food was messy they just walked past us. It was also a pretty cold day but they had the big door open for some reason so had to sit with my jacket on the entire time. Overall the venue is very aesthetic but the food and service was mid.

29/08/2025: We did have a good time but weren’t too impressed with the food to be honest. We ordered several dishes for the table and really enjoyed the chicken in soy garlic sauce and can also recommend the corn. However, the slow cooked short rib for 37 Euro was a disappointment and definitely overpriced. We are not rushing back although staff was super friendly and we enjoyed the vibe.

04/10/2025: Hidden gem, great for a breakfast/brunch treat. Food is excellent, good menu with plenty of options, coffee is best in the area. Staff are exemplary, extremely attentive and welcoming. Would highly recommend.

02/10/2025: Second time ordering the same dish here. The breakfast salad. 1st time it was incredibly salty so said I'd try again. This time was not seasoned. The asparagus was thicker than my thumb and fibrous. Salad leaves not dressed. Eggs were very good. Children's menu is good value and child enjoyed food. Perhaps i am ordering a less popular option, however both times this was reccommend by waiting staff. After meal was delivered no follow up at all to see if the food was ok or if we needed anything. Eventually went inside to pay.

22/02/2026: Very bad experience. My friend from London experienced racism at the hands of two bouncers. When we inquired with the management about what the problem was, my friend was told he looked ‘obnoxious’. Do not come here.

19/03/2026: Unfortunately, my visit to this café was disappointing. The coffee was barely drinkable and tasted really bad. The food was also underwhelming – it was very greasy and seemed to have been prepared without any care. The only positive thing I can say is that the service was adequate and friendly. Overall, however, I wouldn't eat here again.

15/03/2026: I usually LOVE this restaurant so much, they used to have an amazing mezze plate in vegan or meat option, and lots of different variety. But today I booked for Mother’s Day and I understand it was really busy, but I found that -the menu had a lot of eggs on it, and when asked to substitute something else for eggs for an allergy told not possible have to order it as an extra side -food plating of the fry was… meh. Rashers not cooked as much as I’d expect I do t expect super crispy but they were too fatty to not be cooked longer. - ran out of basically every treat by the time we were ordering at just before 1??? Surely that’s very early in service to run out of scones babkas and cinnamon rolls. - they forgot part of the order (allowed it’s busy) but it was still on the bill had to ask for it to be removed. - finally the downstairs bathrooms ladies ones were a bit grim, as soon as you go down the basement stairs you’re hit with a whoop of stinky. This has put me off eating here again, as important as it is for the upstairs to be aesthetic and nice, the toilets were actually jarring. I really hope that today may have been a once off as it was Mother’s Day and paddy’s weekend very busy, but the standards seem to have dropped. I will still give it 4 starts as every server and host was amazingly polite and efficient

28/11/2025: I didn’t have any food so I can’t comment, however staff is really friendly and accommodating. I was here on a Friday and the vibe and people in the pub where great, I would recommend for drinks definitely. The pints are class and good price.

08/10/2025: Lovely pub on the N81 after Tallaght. Plenty of space to park, clean place, nice staff and lovely food. I went there for lunch with my 4 year old and my partner, the fish and chips and chicken wings were lovely. The batter of the fish was light and crispy, the chips were perfectly cooked ( something you dont always find! ) I would go back to try other food on the menu.

15/03/2026: i called to book a table for iftar time and lady on the phone was unfriendly at all, she asked me to come half hour earlier and thats not guarante ill get table! And she end up telling me to go find another place if im not happy with her option!!

13/03/2026: I have been going to Sandymount house regularly since 1992. I used to work in Quinnsworth in 1992/93/94. I enjoyed the pub especially when Leinster Rugby , Irish soccer and Irish rugby play at Lansdowne or Aviva. The bar men past/present are very friendly, and courteous. I recommend this beautiful pub. Top notch pub.

24/03/2026: I had a great lunch here. Oysters to start, followed by calamari and a nice glass of Gruner. Well worth the visit.

12/07/2025: Coffee was pretty average, about the same as most chain shops in Dublin. There’s extensive seating with comfy looking couches, and a couple pastry options. If you’re in the area and don’t need to sit down, we liked Bear Market better.

22/03/2026: I really liked this place because I'd seen a lot of good reviews online. To be honest, the regular fish fillet was good, and the smoked fish was too. 🍟🐟 The fries weren't anything special, and there was no garlic sauce, only tartar sauce and ketchup. There's no option to eat in, which is a shame because it was very rainy that day. I recommend it for the experience, but there are plenty of other very good fish and chips places in the city.

22/03/2026: The service was quite quick and pleasant. However, it must be said that the fish and chips was extremely greasy, even for deep-fried. It's sometimes better in pubs for the same price. A tip: one fish and chips is more than enough for two people.

27/01/2026: We went in while waiting for my daughter who lives nearby. A really nice, family-friendly place. Warm decor and a great selection of beers and ciders. Don't hesitate to go in!
