The best restaurants in Dublin

28/03/2025: Went here today for lunch. The service was brilliant. The food was great but if you are ceoliac or gluten intolerant I would not recommend. Ordered the gluten free chicken tenders and gluten free loaded spice fried which were delicious but as soon as I left got symptoms of being glutened.

20/04/2025: I brought my grandmother here before the book of Mormon. We both got chicken and waffles. It was her first time getting them!! She absolutely loved it and enjoyed her very first mimosa as well. The only letdown with restaurant is that it is very loud and they play heavy bass music, which makes it hard to have conversation!

18/04/2025: Regrettable - I ask for a table for one on the terrace and they give a table to two people who come after me before. They excuse themselves by saying there is room for everyone, but then when I haven't even finished my brunch they bring me the bill, kindly inviting me to leave. Apart from that, the quality-price ratio is not good. The royal eggs are small in portion and too much. Bathed in a tasteless hollandaise. Don't try it

16/04/2025: This is probably the best restaurant I’ve been to in a while. If you like authentic Middle Eastern food, this is the place to come. The flavours are amazing, the portions are huge, the prices are great, and the ambience is friendly, lively, and comfortable. We ordered way too much food for two people and did not regret it for one second. Literally could not stop eating. Will most definitely be back!

15/04/2025: Close to Drumcondra's train station. Hidden entrance, beautiful menu, presentations and service. Advisable to book in advance via whatsapp is very comfortable. Order the small mezza as an appetizer. The food was more beautiful than of good quality though. Hygiene was questionable. Tables were sticky, seats had crumbles on arrival,  we found hairs in our food on two different occasions. The pita and the shrimps should have been served with extra plates and 🍴 as proved to be quite messy plates. A place with potential but that needs attention.

29/03/2025: SERVICE: Really amazing staff. Arrived without a reservation on a busy night and sat outside. They did everything possibly to make sure we were comfortable, and above all warm. Shortly after they found us a table indoors, but we were well set up at that point and more than happy with the arrangement. FOOD: The food was very good indeed. Can highly recommend the Mare e Monti pasta and the scallop starter. OVERALL: Perfect balance between quality and value. I'll be back!

05/04/2025: DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL IF YOU VALUE YOUR SAFETY!!! This would have been a 5 star review as the Temple Bar Inn was very conveniently located near restaurants, bars, shopping and sights and the rooms were spacious and clean. However, we had an incident that changed the review. There were 3 of us, all women, occupying the room and 2 of the 3 of us were asleep. Around midnight, I heard our door unlock and turned in bed to see a silhouette of a man stepping through our doorway. As he continued several steps into the room, I screamed and woke up the other 2 ladies in the room. After about 30 seconds (which felt like an eternity) of my screaming to “get out” the man finally said, “oh, okay” and turned around and left the room. The three of us immediately ran to the door and propped the heavy footstools and chairs against the door in an attempt to secure the door and then we called the front desk. We were told by the man at the front desk that the issue must have been that the keys were not recoded and he said that he would inactivate our keys and that we would have to come to the front desk to get new keys. He also told us the intruder was likely a man who was just drinking at the bar in the lobby who he saw leave. At no time did he offer to deliver the keys to us. We were terrified and did not want to venture into the hallway not knowing if the man was still there or not. After seeing someone walk up and down the hallway several times (through the peephole) we called the front desk again who stated that they did a security sweep through the hallway and told that the threat was “likely” neutralized. Needless to say, we did not sleep at all that night as we were terrified at the thought of someone entering the room. After the sleepless night, we went to check out of the hotel as early as we could, and as we checked out and discussed the matter with the man at the front desk we were told that he watched security footage which showed that the “man did not use a key and that our door was ajar” and stated that it was our fault that this occurred. This is an even bigger security concern for us and this hotel, as we are three single women traveling together; we always double and triple check our doors in hotels to make sure they are closed before going to bed at night. The door in our room was securely shut when we went to bed…hence if they state that the door “was ajar” then there is a very significant issue with the locks in the room. The fact that the man at the front desk blamed us, they did not offer any help to make us feel secure in the middle of the night (except for doing a “sweep” of the hallway) and left us with deactivated key cards (so if we needed or wanted to leave our room in the middle of the night we would have been unable). Our biggest concerns were that the man (who said he was in charge) never apologized, nothing was done to make us feel safe in this hotel and he blamed us for the door being “ajar”. The questions we have are how do you see that the door is “ajar” in grainy security video (which we were never allowed to see)? We double checked that the door was completely shut before going to bed so if the door was that far”ajar” that it was seen in a security video then there are very significant security issues with the locks in your room. And also, why did I hear the door “unlock” which made me turn and look over towards the door at midnight if the door was “ajar” and the man did not use a card to enter??? We would not recommend this hotel to anyone who values their security, safety and most importantly, wishes to be treated with respect, as three women who had a very traumatic incident happen, had no assistance from this hotel and will likely never feel safe to stay in another hotel again as we will forever relive this incident.

01/04/2025: Great location for walking around Dublin and the TVs have Google casting abilities for when you’re unwinding. Didn’t find that anywhere else we stayed not that that’s a big deal, but, it was nice!

12/04/2025: Make sure you book on Sundays, place is really cool, staff are best ok, food in the main area looked good, but a separate area at the back outside was not value for money at all.

03/04/2025: Had a lovely lunch on the terrace while catching up with a friend. During these sunny days, lovely to find this place. Food was really good, will definitely visit again another time I’m in Dublin

01/03/2025: I’ve been ordering from FatCow for over a year, and their quality never drops. The burgers are consistently tasty and juicy, while the chips are crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. My favorite burger in town!

05/04/2025: Maybe because it was middle of the afternoon it just wasnt good and no atmosphere. Prawn starter was nice enough and nice gls of french white but the burger just wasnt good dry and tastless and way to much sauce put on it. Was also very strange being served by a member of kitchen staff.
