The best restaurants in Dublin

25/09/2024: One of the larger Asian supermarkets in Dublin, and due to the Jervis Centre car park right opposite possibly the best if you plan to load your car with mainly Chinese, but also Thai, Filipino etc. ingredients. In-store fresh vegetables, fruit, butchers' counter, fish counter, and even a takeaway restaurant. Bit of a market feeling, and it can get a bit cramped at busy times. But generally helpful and friendly staff will help you if you need it. Prices are hit and miss, you get some stuff cheaper elsewhere, other goods are lower priced, my best guess is that at the end of the shopping you pay much the same as in other Asian supermarkets. Only let-down (but this is NOT the fault of Oriental Emporium) is the sometimes quite unsavoury crowd hanging about the LUAS stop right in front of the entrance.

21/09/2024: Variety of stuffs is good enough to get what we needed. Hot food section also available for takeout.

21/10/2024: Was skeptical of the price of this place until the food arrived at the table. The Nashville Hot chicken burger was enormous. The side portion of fries amazing too. Chicken was cooked to perfection not dry for such a big piece of meat and the right amount of spice. Will definitely come back. Highly recommended.

21/06/2024: There was an error on the part of the hotel in charging for one of the 5 contracted rooms and the receptionist took my partner out at 1:00 in the morning to pay for it, when we had already agreed on payment in the morning with the previous receptionist before leave if the problem was not clarified with Booking. I would never return.

01/06/2024: So sad this place is closing down. My friends and I always loved going here. If you wanted good food, drinks and vibes for cheap prices, it was the place to go. It was also pretty different from most burger and chips restaurants, they were always trying new things. Hopefully something like it opens up again. You will be missed!

08/11/2024: A place I have enjoyed coming to many times. I have only tried their desserts and bubble teas, and they were good. The service is a bit slow, but we didn't mind since they said they prepare the desserts fresh. Overall, not bad.

01/10/2024: Nothing special; we passed there the first time and it didn't excite us, a second time, but only because it was pouring and it didn't excite us either on this other occasion.

13/11/2024: Grabbed a quick dinner at this super simple Italian restaurant on the way to the Dublin airport. Lasagna and Burrata Salad were both excellent yet the Caesar salad was dissapointingly overdressed. Pizza's served at surrounding tables looked really good . it appeared that all other guests were locals and value was very good.

02/11/2024: We ate here after my daughters gymnastics competition and the staff made a great fuss over her and her medals. Service was excellent,prompt & efficient. Food was excellent. Will be back again!

17/09/2024: Friendly staff, good music, great value and RIDICULOUSLY TASTY bao buns! Had the hacking chicken with house accompaniments, fries and a drink. €16. Will be back!

18/10/2024: It is a nice place with comfortable seats and different areas. Enviournment is really cozy and nice especially during the night time. Lighting is soft and warm. Cocktails taste good with very good service.

09/08/2024: Popped in to Kenny's Bar for the first time while I was in Dublin this week not only was it the best pints of Guinness that I drank in Dublin they are by far the cheapest lady behind the counter It was very nice and the locals were friendly ..

29/10/2024: Yesterday we decided to have a drink at McMahons, because the atmosphere seemed nice and the pastries on display looked great! Unfortunately while entering to order (4 warm drinks & 2 pastries- the snickers cake was great & the lattes too!), I witnessed the two ladies behind the counter have an unpleasant attitude towards my sister in law, who was asking for a cup of hot water so she could warm her newborns bottle. I’m unsure if their reluctance came because they didn’t think she was a paying guest, but the attitude didn’t change after I made clear I’d pay for our drinks (while holding said newborn). They charged for a cup of hot water, which we quite frankly found ridiculous since we spent over €20 on other things. If this falls under kid-friendliness, I’d say it faltered.

12/11/2024: Have been going to the grasshopper years , food , atmosphere, staff are 100% especially the open fire 🔥 hard to leave once you sit down 😅😅😅 Martin runs an excellent show A++++ highly recommended 😍😍😍
