04/12/2025: Amazing food! Lovely staff! Mamma mia!!!

03/12/2025: Unfortunately I have to say that food was tasteless and didn't resemble real Italian food which is full of different flavours.We were late due to traffic congestion but they kept our table for us.Service was really nice and friendly.Restaurant is tiny. Unfortunately food wasn't meating expectations and it was priced on more expensive end. I wouldn't recommend neither wouldn't visit again

30/08/2025: We've been living in the area for about 15 years or so but yesterday evening was my first visit for some takeaway pizza for the family. It was excellent and we will be back!

04/11/2025: If you are pretentious enough to want to be seen dining on overpriced pasta, this is the place for you. But I won't be back. The staff are fantastic! The atmosphere is good. But the menu lacks what I would expect in a good Italian restaurant.

03/11/2025: As someone who truly loves Italian food, I was really disappointed here. The bread and wine were nice, but the tomato seafood pasta and prawn pasta were bland and the sauces barely there. For €75, it just doesn’t feel worth it – you could have a fantastic meal in Dublin for that. Honestly, if you’re in Kilkenny, just stick to a light snack and save yourself the letdown.

19/10/2025: The food wasn't our cup of tea. We chose the restaurant because it looked very nice inside and out. The service was really good and attentive. Unfortunately, the stir-fry and the carbonara weren't good. But we would give the restaurant another chance and try a pizza.

02/11/2025: Fantastic experience this weekend for a special 60th birthday celebration lunch. Virginia and the entire team at Oliveto and The Parlour, were outstanding. Nothing like a warm welcome and personal service as well as fabulous food, beautiful surroundings and a venue with style. We are very grateful to Virginia and the team for their upbeat, professional engagement and service. Our drinks and bar snacks afterwards at the Parlour with some additional guests, were also superb and enjoyed by all. A big thank you! We will be back!

03/11/2025: Food is amazing however when I booked a reservation for my college graduation they said we would be able to book for 3.30, my my name and phone number and when we got there the place was closed. We were not the only people who this happened to as there was about 5 other families waiting at the same time. When we rang the premises we got nothing as the phone was not turned on. I do not understand why this location would approve so many reservations for a set time and then not even open. Disgraceful

26/09/2025: Decent pizza, but a total rip off. The website lists sizes as medium and large without saying what that means. When it arrives, the box shows inches instead… a “medium” is just 9 inches. Pulling a fast one on their customers. Nearly €100 for four small pizzas, dips, a small portion of wings, plus a €3 delivery fee (to Leixlip, literally around the corner). Shrinkflation at its finest. I’ll stick with Base in Lucan, better quality and ye don’t feel conned when the delivery chap comes knocking 😂.

02/11/2025: My home is far away from the city centre. We went out just to have dinner at Zizzi. We booked a table (for 1/11/2025, Saturday), and we parked our car at the carpark. When we arrived on time of my booking, Zizzi was preparing to close (early), and they didn’t let us eat anything although I had the booking confirmation. This was very unappreciated. We came all the way down for nothing. I don’t think that we will ever go to Zizzi again. Very bad experience…

09/11/2025: Fantastico!!! Me and my family we arrived on a Friday evening without reservation, the host was super friendly and nice and found us a place . Food was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing large portions as well!! All the staff we friendly, especially our waitress Cinzia. Highly recommend looking forward to be back !

04/11/2025: I recently visited Wood Fire Café and had an outstanding experience! The moment I stepped in, the cozy atmosphere stood out warm lighting, elegant wooden accents, and the inviting aroma of freshly baked goods filled the space. The staff were welcoming and attentive, offering thoughtful recommendations and making sure everything was just right throughout our visit. I tried their signature wood-fired pizza and a freshly brewed cup of coffee, and both were exceptional. The pizza had a perfectly crisp, smoky crust with high-quality toppings that blended beautifully. The coffee was rich, aromatic, and paired perfectly with the meal. I couldn’t resist finishing with a slice of their homemade cake, which was moist, flavorful, and just the right level of sweetness. A truly delightful experience from start to finish. I’ll definitely be returning soon!

04/11/2025: Dinner at Wood Fire Café was a truly memorable experience. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the lighting elegant, and the staff attentive. You can watch the chefs in the open kitchen working their magic while you enjoy a glass of wine. We tried the seafood pasta and margherita pizza — both excellent. The desserts were equally impressive. A perfect place for a relaxed yet classy evening.
