04/08/2025: Make a reservation for this restaurant. Excellent choice on the menu, great staff, great atmosphere and very reasonably priced. Service is swift and efficient. Staff are very pleasant.

03/08/2025: Al Muretto is a strange name, Google translating as "At the Wall"? I am sure there is a story there. But this place certainly doesn't hit the wall. This place is very good, serving some good Italian comfort food. Another strange thing was the opening times, 4-10 all week, except on Sunday, where it's all day. We visited on Sunday and really enjoyed ourselves. But we were disappointed to visit a few days later, for seconds, and find it closed. It's hard running a restaurant in Ireland, so I understand, just sad there is no lunchtime opening during the week. I would go right now if I could. One of the best ways to judge an Italian restaurant is the spaghetti Bolognese, a simple dish but very hard to make well. I think they do an assassin spaghetti type Bolognese. Hubby ordered the Spaghetti Bolognese and really enjoyed it. The only criticism I have is that the Bolognese is offered with Penne or Spaghetti. Personally I am not into either, I love the soft texture of tagliatelle and would have preferred that option. Also the sauce was mixed with Parmesan, which was nice, but perhaps too much as it was too cheesy. Wifey tried something more exotic. Wifey tried the Risotto Allo Scoglio, a seafood risotto. Wifey loved this, and still raves about it. I too liked it, but seafood is not my go-to. But Hubby was impressed as it all cooked to perfection, some of the softest calamari I have ever eaten. Honestly there were so many other dishes we would go back for. Things I would love to try, the calzone, chicken and mushroom penne and risottos, the lasagna, the Veal scallops... Every time I look at the menu there is more I want. And the desserts are great too. Wifey went with an orange cheesecake, and while she enjoyed it. It wasn't for hubby, I didn't think it worked at all. Cheesecake should only be lemon... Maybe rum and raisin only. But Hubby had the tiramisu and it was divine, the mascarpone was so moreish. The only down side was I almost choked on the cocoa dust, you have been warned. Hubby and Wifey would recommend, and would go again and again. What makes this place really good for Families is the range of adult and children's dishes. On the table next to us was a family of three, the young boy ordered a pizza, and by God it was bigger than his head. He only finished half, I hope he had it the next morning for breakfast champions, before school. On a separate visit. I had the Calzone, often described as a Pizza in a Cornish pasty. Sadly this was not good. The main flaw with this is that they used the shredded pack pasta, which doesn't melt. So when it was served to me all the mozzarella was still cool, and the Calzone was not really hot to begin with. A disappointing dish and I would not recommend it.... However I must say this is a once off and would highly recommend every other dish here.

23/08/2025: The best authentic Italian restaurant for miles around. Fantastic food. Large portions. Reasonable prices. Wonderful atmosphere. Very nice and pleasant staff. If you are thinking about doing it. DO IT. The seafood pasta is over the moon.

20/08/2025: The food was really nice but unfortunately the service, not so much. When we were finally seated we waited that long to give an order we were just about to leave. I have read a few reviews saying the food was bad, we were lucky enough it was good but a long wait and being ignored by staff just ruins the experience

11/09/2025: The coffee was good and the service was great. However, these sandwich photos are old and they don't offer hot food in the morning. Unfortunately, it wasn't what I was looking for, but I loved the vibe.

08/09/2025: Hands down the best coffee shop in Galway. I live in Dublin but at the weekend if I’m in Galway I make it my business to stop by here. Great coffee and the staff are friendlier than any business I have ever seen. Cute pink cups as well, and selection of keep cups, hats and socks. Go here :)

24/08/2025: We've had a very lovely evening with a group of 4 here. We were seated at a cozy table downstairs and had outstanding service from the beginning to the end. The food was delicious and really good value for the price. Thank you Robin for the lovely time and providing us with all special requests while continously having a good time and laugh with us.

17/08/2025: We booked seats for 4 people 6 days ago and when we arrived last night the table wasn't ready, so not even reserved. We came back after 15 minutes only to be brought downstairs . 10 tables there and nobody there. We were the only 4 people there the whole time we were there... not impressed one bit.. Can't fault the food or the waiters that served us.

21/08/2025: The pizzas were fresh, with good, airy dough. The toppings were excellent, but rather sparse. The staff was attentive and friendly. The location is great, right in the middle of the lively neighborhood. The prices are a bit on the high side, but the food quality is decent.

21/08/2025: Good Italian. Prices are relatively high. The restaurant is very small, which is why the noise level is quite high.

11/09/2025: Cocktails were great, but the staff was rude and non-accommodating making this not a spot worth visiting. We walked in as a group of 2 and were immediately sat at the bar (great!). We had a friend coming to meet us as there was an empty barstool beside us, we checked with the bartender and he said no problem (again bartender was great). Within a couple of minutes of our friend sitting down the manager (possibly just some rude employee) told us we could not use the third barstool as it’s reserved for “walk ins”. It is a terrible experience when you are told you can do something by one employee and then have another come and tell you can’t do the exact same thing in a totally rude and unfriendly manner. There were two more similarly contradictory situations between employees and us that came of as rude and unwelcoming. I would not waste your time or money here unless you are in the mood for unkind hospitality.

09/09/2025: We had an amazing time at The Blind Pig. It is truly a speakeasy. The atmosphere and the vibe created is exceptional. The cocktails stood out, every ingredient/note was felt in every sip. Right ingredients used to make every cocktail made. There was also a live singer and at first the song was played so well we thought it's recorded but she was singing live. That was a great experience as well. Food was good too but the cocktails and the atmosphere of the place stood out more for me.

12/08/2025: So sad to Say that! The food and service were nice, but the cleaning was terrible. Also, inside and in the garden, and in the toilet, the tables were dirty, and the toilet had paper on everyone. But I had a great time there and appreciated the rain garden with nice wine and pasta

27/08/2025: We came for pizza, but there weren't any available that day. The waitresses are friendly. The food is good and plentiful. The dishes are rich in savory and sweet ingredients. There's a parking lot across the street with plenty of spaces. The prices are reasonable and affordable. The establishment is clean and well-maintained.

21/08/2025: Whilst visiting the area and trying to accommodate all members of our family dietary requirements I give the Galley a little phone call to enquire about gluten free options The lady on the phone was very knowledgable So we got showered up and in we went We were delighted with the service from a lovely group of girls out holding the front of the restaurant 12” hot and spicy gluten free pizza was ordered and it didn’t disappoint she was delighted with it l. The garlic mayo is delicious also But she could of had gf burgers with wedges, warm chicken salad lots to choose from Also we ordered a few more pizzas pepperoni and the barbecue chicken and bacon pizza were so tasty (picture attached ) Cajun chicken burgers & chips yummy After an active day on the beach we were well ready to eat and the food was unreal Clean plates all around Thank you to all the staff in the Galley for accommodating gluten free choices and for a lovely meal

16/08/2025: It was my first time in Bellagio, and I will definitely go back if I want to eat out in the area. I will also recommend it to my friends. The red wine we chose (Ripasso) was excellent, and so was the food. Very generous portions for the main courses and the chocolate ice cream was really good (and very reasonably priced).

08/08/2025: Excellent restaurant, four of us were there last night, we shared a starter and had four different main courses they were all gorgeous, the wine was good too. Very authentic Italian food, friendly staff, service excellent and a lovely atmosphere. Will definitely be going back
