18/09/2026: Our party of four was looking for a place to eat dinner. While we enjoyed the Irish pub atmosphere, we wanted something different. We found this place by chance. Although we didn’t have a reservation and they were busy, they welcomed us and were very accommodating. Honestly, everything about this place exceeded our expectations: the food, the service, the friendliness of our servers, the atmosphere…I’d give them 10 stars if I could! We’re from the States but if we ever come back to Cork, we’ll be back!

15/09/2026: Wonderful restaurant love the food. Had a penne pasta w/chicken. The pasta sauce was tasty beyond expectations, wonderful The folks that work there really want to please. Loved it

27/09/2026: Amazing place, bruschetta, cannelloni the best, fab wine to complement dishes. Steak is the best tasted. Lovely staff, always so accommodating to our family. Toilets spotless. I never review anywhere but we have been dining here for years and my daughter has a peanut allergy-100% safe for her, which why we always go here when in Kilkenny. Ciao 🩷

20/08/2026: have just come back for the second time this week this place is so good. The food is amazing and the staff are so friendly and helpful nothing is too much trouble. the price is really reasonable too. We will definitely be back next time we are in kilkenny and would highly recommend Italian connection

02/10/2026: Love this place. We live in Australia and visited 9 years ago and then again last night for my bday. The staff are so nice and the food is excellent. Wine list is great, really cost and romantic! It’s a must visit for great Italian food if your in Dublin

06/08/2026: Such an amazing food, I had beef hamburger with fried onions and fries. The best beef Ive ever had without a doubt. My girlfriend had the steak baggett which wad amazing aswell. It was 44e for 2 person

24/07/2026: Excellent Italian restaurant in the heart of County Cork, from pasta to wood-fired grilled chicken fillet, not to mention the delectable Chocolate Fudge Cake – absolutely divine. And on top of that, the waitress was charming and efficient. A must-try if you're ever in Midleton!

19/10/2026: It was a terrible evening! Be careful. We celebrated my friend's birthday. We weren't offered a vase for flowers, we waited 50 minutes for the starters, we were forced to eat our dishes faster because they were in their second or third line of customers... Waiters came over several times, and the manager quickly left the restaurant under pressure. Be careful when planning your evening, check how long you can sit at the table with full drinks. I'm sorry that special evening was ruined…

17/10/2026: Great food. Great people. Pizzas are great - nice balance of crunch and chewiness of a Neapolitan pizza and great flavors on them. Bolognese is also really good, as is the garlic pizza bread, deep fried Brie, chicken goat cheese salad, carbonara, penne tomaso, and for dessert the brownie, ice cream and apple crumble all great. Haven’t tried the tiramisu. Pavlova has these crunchy bits which weren’t our favorite if I had to give one knock but that’s a preference thing and otherwise it tasted great. Book a reservation in advance which we’ve done in the few times we’ve been there. Have had good luck with same day availability compared to other places in Bray and nearby which book up quickly. The dining space isn’t huge but is comfortable for our family of 5. Great for kids as well - staff got a kick out of it and were interacting with them which our kids enjoyed. Also food comes out fairly quick so you don’t have to wait long. It’s one of our go-to places for Italian food in the area.

09/09/2026: Pizza was SO good, no complaints there. Complimentary water tho… had that full Athlone tap water metallic taste 😭 I get it, it’s free so you don’t have to drink it, but if you’re serving it, taste matters. Would be better to pour water from bottles or just skip it. Extra point for toilet sign — looks like it helps keep it clean 😅

31/10/2026: Pizza is one of my absolute favourite foods and I'm always on the hunt to find somewhere that tops my best pizza ever had. To this day, Freddy's has stayed number 1 as my absolute favourite Italian (or any other restaurant) restaurant that does pizza. It's delicious and not even that pricey. The inside of the place is lovely too

31/10/2026: A good place for eating with no gluten! The pasta was incredible🥹 we ate the pesto one and the carbonara😍 we are looking forward to coming back!!

01/09/2026: The food was delicious. The restaurant was quite empty, but we were served very quickly and courteously. We received a small complimentary treat from the kitchen and our food arrived promptly. I can't comment on the pizza, but the pasta was very tasty. If we were in the area more often, we would definitely eat here more often.

31/07/2026: Passing through the area, we stopped at this small restaurant tucked away in an alley. Excellent, authentic pasta carbonara and cannelloni. Quite generous portions. Pleasant and attentive service. I recommend it.

05/11/2026: Everything was perfect! A cozy spot, great service, and wonderful food. Highly recommended!

03/11/2026: Food was ok. Needed salt. The pasta itself was good. The sauces were classic Italian food, in that they were simple, and depended on the quality of the few, simple, ingredients for their flavour. So far so good, but a bit galling to be paying the same price as dishes that require a lot more "cheffing", if you know what I mean...

29/10/2026: Lovely restaurant staff were brilliant

26/10/2026: This place is excellent. We had starters and pizza, and the quality was exceptional for the price. One member of the party had a gluten free pizza which he said was top notch, AND it was cooked in its own oven so it was completely safe for him. Kids meals came with free ice cream, the waitress was smart and kind, and the other team members had smiles and welcomes for our entire party. I would return here again and again if I lived locally.

27/10/2026: We celebrated my niece’s graduation here with family, and everything was lovely. The views were stunning, the service was great, and the pasta was delicious. Such a lovely atmosphere too! We really enjoyed our time here and couldn’t fault a thing. Definitely recommend!

10/10/2026: Fantastic food, great service and great for coeliacs. My family, including 5 coeliacs, had a fab time at the restaurant last evening. The food was scrumptious! I highly recommend the gluten free pizzas. Gf pasta is available too, and the chunky chips....yum. Great Italian food and great gluten free options for everything. The staff are lovely, knowledgeable and helped make it a special birthday meal for my daughter. We will be back.

03/10/2026: Unfortunately had very weird experience. I ordered Putanesca Past and in the menu has no indication of spices in the dish. However when the food arrived it was very very spicy. I even asked my husband to try and he also could not cope with the amount of spices. I spoke to the lady that was in charge of the restaurant that day and she apologized and changed my plate which was very nice. However when was time to pay the lady come to us whit the bill arguing that my food was not spicy and maybe I just picked one tiny bit of chili (that was not true because the entire dish was very spicy). She also said she tried my plate that I returned to confirm it. I don’t think this comment was necessary and I felt very uncomfortable she tried my plate that my husband and I have already eaten. For me 2 issues here: 1 no indication of spices ( I’m glad I was not allergic), 2 eaten clients food is not a very good health and safety standard and raise my concerns. Unfortunately I do not come back.

20/10/2026: A true Italian delight in the heart of Dublin. Their Capricciosa is perfectly baked and full of flavor—topped with generous ingredients, among which the exceptionally tasty artichokes truly stand out. Given the high quality, the price of €18 is more than reasonable.

18/10/2026: We had pizza and pasta, and it was delicious. The service was very friendly and professional. We've been back because we loved it. Thank you for your attention.
