17/02/2024: We were fooled by the really good reviews that set the expectation we were in for a treat! Nothing as such, our advise is spend your hard earned money somewhere else. No doubts the location is lovely, but the food is not. The starters were mediocre, I ordered a"SEABASS AL CARTOCCIO" as main, expecting a full jiucy seabas as is normally served, I was so disappointed to find a tiny little SIDE (just one very small side of seabass!) In a liquid of tasteless tomatoes, not a trace of the natural juices for a total of 26 euro, not to mention the 5 tiny baby potatoes that came with that as a side! . We went for a teddy's icecream! Still trying to understand how they get good reviews

Everything is wonderful, the staff is friendly, especially attentive to children, they gave coloring pages for entertainment, the atmosphere is calm and homely. The pizza and pasta were delicious, the child was delighted with the ice cream and dessert. Thank you, we had a great stay.

23/03/2024: Hello, I just ordered a ( gluten-free ) pizza from this pizza restaurant. I’m a coeliac (wheat flares me and makes me very ill) I asked for toppings of Mushroom Onion Black olives And Capers I was quoted a price of € 25.00 for a 12” pizza, As it was a huge treat for me I said ok. 15 minutes later I got a phone call to say “we forgot to add on €2.50 for the gluten free base, . Bringing the total for a 12” to €27.50 nearly thirty euros for a pizza. I didn’t want a wagon wheel of a pizza , only a treat on a Saturday evening. Which I would have only eaten half of the pizza I’m disgusted at their attitude and their customer service. Obviously I will never try €27 pizza for-one when I can try great restaurants to eat, rip off swords at its best. Thanks but no thanks.

10/03/2024: authentic italian carbonara with no cream [ultra unusual in ireland], authentic neapolitan style pizza with san marzano tomatoes, good selection of italian wines. i rated 4 for atmosphere but it can be my misses, she drives me mad over everything. food 10/10, im sorry i couldnt fit more in my stomach. receipt for dinner for 4

26/03/2024: Extremely delicious pizza. Totally unexpected. It was really fresh and juicy. The price is a bit expensive for a snack, but the quality is really good. Unfortunately there is no place to sit or shelter from the rain.

04/03/2024: ***UPDATE as of 01/03/2024. Sadly, Manifesto has closed it’s doors*** Today, we had a party of 8 come in for dinner. 2 of our members are also gluten free. Service was courteous and fast. Food was outstanding. My partner who has been eating gluten free for more than 20 years says the gluten free crust is one of the best she has ever eaten. Thank you Manifesto for making it a wonderful night for us!

15/02/2024: Disappointing! We used to love going to Manifesto for special celebrations such as birthdays, Valentine’s Day, anniversaries etc., was one of our favourite restaurants in Rathmines since we moved here 6 years ago. Today, we were dissapointed to see that the menu only offers 3 pasta and just pizzas. Such a great wine menu, but nothing to enjoy it with. It used to be a place to go for fine dining plates, sophisticated flavours but not anymore. Also the service could be better.. the waitress looked angry, didn’t ask if we want any drinks, we kinda had to “chase” her for drinks and for a desert menu. Safe to say we won’t be returning there.

20/02/2024: It is astonishingly difficult to get fish n'chips at lunch time in this area during the off season. The Galley being the welcome exception. Service was a bit slow, but it was busy.

17/03/2024: Drove by and seen an opportunity to try something new, Pizza in a church! Decor inside is cool, really liked the stained glass windows and was lively enough. The service seemed a bit lacking, although we were seated quickly we got a bit of an unwelcome vibe from the staff. We ordered nachos for starters which when placed on the table were clearly burnt on one side of the dish, literally black. I understand this may occur when melting the cheese but remove the burnt ones before serving them at least. The pizzas were not to our liking either unfortunately, the dough base is tasteless and has a cracker consistency that just tastes of flour. Bar the novelty of eating in a church, the food was sub par for us.

17/02/2024: A pizza in an old converted church ! The pizzas were good with a nice light base. Varied & interesting choice of toppings. Nice wine selection also. It was busy, but we got a table at short notice.

29/03/2024: Great food and portions, decent service, and the owner's incredibly welcoming. The only downside is that you can only pay with cash. I always come here for special occasions. I recommend always booking ahead and opting for a space in the back. But the front of the restaurant is still enjoyable, thanks to the quality of the food and service. There are also a lot of cool souvenirs that add a unique atmosphere to the restaurant.
