The best restaurants in Kildare

05/07/2026: I used to really enjoy getting a take away every few weeks but recently I have noticed the delivery time has increased approx 1.5hr (10min drive not even just havent drove up due to having a beer or 2) food has been slow coming which i wouldn't mind if it was tasty but th3 food has been ao dry ! Chips are clearly reheated and chicken is hours old ! Sausages ain't fresh either. Partner had a burger and it was like rubber. Really disappointed. ! On the feed me app if you go in rating is high but "clodagh & Mary" have reviewed several times saying it was amazing ! But its the exact same person, but not the only 2 names noted on repeat. Really disappointed and when I rang to say about the 1.5 hr wait for food the man was extremely rude on the phone. So disappointed. Wouldn't usually write a review but I was truly surprised by this.

03/05/2026: Saturday night yesterday and decided to have some takeaway from this place. Not a single regret on this! We got burgers, pizzas, chips with cheeze, onion rings, hot dog and so on.. Absolutely everything met our expectations, food was so tasty and well prepared. Definitely recommend these guys!

04/07/2026: Really disappointed with our order tonight. We ordered a medium spice box, and compared to every other takeaway in Newbridge, the portion was tiny. It arrived in what looked like a small pizza box, mostly filled with chips, a very small amount of salt and chilli chicken, no ribs no spring rolls and not even complementary prawn crackers the rest made up of chicken balls. The total order came to €35 delivered, and for that price I genuinely feel ripped off. To be fair, the food itself was tasty, which is why I'm giving it some credit, but the portion size was nowhere near what you'd expect for a medium spice box. Unfortunately, because of the poor value for money, we won't be ordering from here again.

18/03/2026: I ordered food from this lovely restaurant, I got their spice box meal deal with a drink. The portion was very generous and as a student on a budget this was perfect. Food was lovely.

29/07/2026: Nicest Chinese around 5 star service.

24/07/2026: Good traditional style Chinese restaurant with some european dishes. Also good for take out.

27/07/2026: Ordered garlic cheese fries and spice burger. Food was of unreal quality so fresh and generously portioned fries. The burger was crispy and fresh. The delivery guy was very polite and smiley, very pleasant experience with the food and the delivery service. Highly recommend this place.

26/07/2026: We discovered this restaurant about 4 years ago, and it has been our go-to spot for dine-in and takeaways. The food is exceptional, and the staff is amazing. I cannot recommend this enough!

10/07/2026: Ordered for delivery, naan was soggy, poppadom was stale, the pilau rice tray wasn't filled up and the chicken madras tasted of nothing but spoon fulls of salt no spices etc nothing but salt. The highlight was the chips and the cold naan. Would never order from here again total waste of money. Much better options in Newbridge or Kildare town.

30/07/2026: ​Really solid local pub with a great atmosphere. The outdoor seating area out back is fantastic when the weather is nice, very comfortable and quiet. staff working behind the bar were dead sound and attentive. Definitely a great spot for a relaxed drink.

15/03/2026: Food has gone down hill - got a takeaway last night the chicken cheese rolls are reheated definitely not fresh. Chicken satay tasted sour and the colour was of a tomato base have been using this Chinese for a long time it will be our last time here. Pity but the price of a takeaway everything has to taste great to keep people coming back.

13/04/2026: Been waiting for getting my foods like ten minutes but there is two staffs while make six rolls but other staff still serve other people who arrive late, im still waiting for my turn and lacking communication with me as being deaf. Not paying attention. Waste my time.

26/07/2026: I've used here and the restaurants in the hotel before and it was good so we booked here to meet friends staying at the hotel recently but it was a mistake. Unfortunately, this time it was dreadful. We were sat at a table and then we were clearly trumped by a more important person as we were asked to move from our nice round table to 2 smaller tables in the wings. We ordered drinks which had to be chased multiple times as some would arrive and then we repeatedly reordered to get the missing drinks. We were given a small 2 course menu that looked tasty but the food was small portions (except the wings) was bland and somewhat thrown together, not what you expect at a 5 star resort. The mains took 45 minutes to come out after we'd finished our starters after much chasing. Again, we were bumped down the priority by a group of locals who got their food on time. When our food came out we were missing one steak, which was ordered rare. This was promised to follow and eventually came out cremated. Finally the service. There was a young red headed lad who was professional and tried his best but sadly the others from the front desk to the new young staff just couldn't cope and made the place feel completely mismanaged. They didn't know what wine they served by the glass, they didn't bring enough glasses, they took wine glasses away while they were still in use mid meal. The burger came out as a hard as rock burger on an untoasted bun with a slice of cheese on it. It was so cold, had no salad or garnish and was unedible. Only one steak was cooked correctly and it was tiny compared to the others served. It was a shambles. I really hope we got it on a bad night and it's not normally like this but it was an embarrassing for us and our guests as to how bad it was. Edit. I've just looked at other people's reviews and the photos of the food. Our food was nothing like the photos I see, ours was badly cooked and presented school dinners, maybe the chef didn't turn up the night we were there.

01/07/2026: Our first time ordering here and we will definitely be back! By far the nicest pizza and chips takeaway that we have had in a very long time. We got the margarita and a large chips and demolished them before we had a chance to snap a picture and leave a review. Great quality, very good value for money and the guys in the shop were super cool. 10/10 🙏

16/06/2026: Ordered Doner meat and chips tray. Tiny amount of chips and way too much sauce. Really below average compared to other chippers I've tried.
