The best restaurants in Kildare

27/07/2025: Used to be a regular, especially as it's the only outdoor lunch venues in the area but unfortunately the quality of the dishes keeps getting lowered while the prices are going up. Had a beef stir fry , daily special and had to leave the beef in the plate as it was hard rock gummy. It was impossible to swallow. I ate the noodles and vegetables with the sweet sour sauce. My husband also had a main and we had one tea and soft drink. Total: 50 euro. For two mediocre dishes and 2 drinks.. I would have provided the feedback on the dish, but no one asked how my food was. Not at the table or later when paying at the counter. I ended up having a mild indigestion about 30 min after. . It's a real pity . The only reason I don't rate it with 1* it's because of the memory of what it used to be.

29/06/2025: The food here is lovely , it can be quite loud and can be very pricey in here but the food is normally worth it. Today was a busy day with the races on. There were two servers that came across as quite rude and I'm not a fan of someone rolling their eyes at me when I asked for a juice for my son and also when we asked for sauces. The lady with the blonde hair ( perhaps owner or manager) was very pleasant as always!! I remember her from TRI also , always very helpful and polite!! We will still return as we come here quite often just on quieter days 🙂

01/02/2025: Fellas never ignore me. I'd say I get 15mins chat each time I visit. I always pre-order on instagram like I'm supposed to. Fantastic Service!!

31/01/2025: Ignored for 15 mins waiting for my order to be taken only to be told they were sold out. Terrible service.

19/06/2025: Have ordered scones from here a few times now and previously was delighted with everything. Most recent order (and the first one made in awhile) was not great, the scones are now packed in plastic which meant they were a little “squidgy” and damp maybe they were packed while still slightly warm. They had also been shaken a lot in transport so 2 of six were completely broken. They tasted nice but I think I’ll stick to visiting the store where possible

11/07/2025: If you're looking for a perfect blend of authentic Indian and Thai cuisine in Naas, Spice Village Thaiger is a hidden gem worth discovering! I had the chance to try both Indian and Thai dishes during my visit, and I was genuinely impressed. The butter chicken was rich and creamy, packed with flavor, and paired perfectly with their freshly made naan. From the Thai side, the green curry stood out — aromatic, slightly spicy, and served with egg fried rice. The staff were friendly and attentive, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant is clean, cozy, and has a nice blend of traditional and modern decor. Whether you're dining in or taking away, the service is fast and professional.

06/07/2025: Had a family birthday celebration meal here last night. Delicious Indian and Keralan food, really really good! But also Thai options which some of the family had and really enjoyed. The service was amazing, they helped us organise some decorations and a birthday cake for our parents big birthday, and took such good care of us.

25/04/2025: When you bring your small child into places like these, you don’t expect them to be knocked down by an adult staff member. If you’re working around small children, your main priority should be to be mindful of where you’re going. My 13 month old daughter was knocked down with an extreme force by one of the girls working there that she sent my daughter flying and hitting the side of her head on the steering wheel of one of the trikes. It was very difficult to console her that even breastfeeding wasn’t helping. She’s left with a big swollen red mark and now we’re going to have to get her seen by a doctor for a peace of mind to make sure there’s no fracture. I understand this was an accident, but this experience coupled with waiting 40 minutes for two simple sandwiches has put me off from ever coming back. Good selection of toys though but not worth a 20 minute drive. EDIT: Even though I had a terrible experience due to an accident, ironically enough, I still recommended this place to some of my friends with the little ones. Don’t get me wrong, this cafe is a great place if your child is 2,5+ years old, but I wouldn’t bring a 1 year old here, let alone a baby. It just doesn’t feel safe. To the girl who accidentally pushed her: I worked as a waitress myself so I understand how hard this was for you, and am genuinely sorry that we both went through this. Please also understand that seeing my daughter get pushed and injured at such a young age was very shocking and upsetting and it changed a whole day for us. What further disappointed us was that 15 minutes after the incident, no one came over to check in on us or speak to us about what happened. I stand behind what I said about the long wait on the food, but if you come here for a quick snack and a cup of coffee, you’ll probably be fine.

22/04/2025: It's paradise for young kids! Brought my 18 month old who is an absolute rascal and he was loving it! Looooads of toys and activity tables etc for kids up to 4-5yo. Nice little menu for both kids and adults. Great for parties too! Spend as much time as you like, there's tables and chairs for chilling out. Shoes are left outside the room by everyone so it's actually fairly clean! Very happy with our first time over all 😊 definitely coming back!

07/07/2025: Went for a coffee/drink on walk. Nice place.

01/06/2025: Dropped in to buy a takeaway coffee. Girls chatting away finally turned around to counter to take my order. Used the bathroom, no toilet roll, no soap, plenty of water on floor. Coffee not even filled to top, 4.10e!! It's a no from me.

22/07/2025: Better than your average takeaway but not absolutely mind blowing or anything. The prices are high and the portions are small

20/07/2025: No recommended I talk meaby 15 min on the phone make a order and after that lady ask me for card details for security but I want pay cash so she cancel the order sick!

04/07/2025: It was fine. Service for the meetings rooms is good. Restaurant is fine. No complaints but nothing amazing about the food.

12/07/2025: Best in Kildare without a doubt. Black bean is class. Spice bag and curries in the same league. Well worth it

22/07/2025: We arrived after walking up and down the the long high street in need of a refresher and hopefully a pasty; we had travelled a long way and arrived too early to check in to the hotel. We found a table almost in the dark and heard some one say they are closing at 3 ( 15:00 ), we arrived at (14:35) and there was no attempt at communicating with us; the only person there had a sour face and it was obvious that we weren’t welcome - so put our coats on and left - needless to say we won’t be going back! 😡

05/07/2025: Lifeline after hours food stop last night after a long day setting up tents in Dublin with Stretch Tents Ireland. Banging pizza and nice staff. 🤟

02/07/2025: The pizzas are between good and amazing, ample space in the back of the restaurant with a lot of tables and seating space. They lack advertisement for the option of sitting down instead of treating it like a basic takeaway. I've only discovered about the area when I was asking for the toilet and then later asked the staff is that area open for customers. Other than that I'm very happy with the food and treatment.
