The best restaurants in Kildare

24/04/2026: Very bland, undercooked and stale tasting chips. Fish was dry and flavourless. The tartar sauce was tasteless and only helped as a dip to add moisture for the dry chips. Very disappointed from what was in my mind the best chipper in Naas at one point. Will be trying somewhere else next time.

03/01/2026: Fantastic food and service. Dined in and was served by a lovely lady. Full of chat and a really good kebab.

12/07/2026: Overall experience was ok , nice restaurant but unfortunately the food is not what you’re paying for , small portions, I had roasted beef 6/10, risotto 6/10, oysters were delicious 10/10, lamb good but small portion, fish was good as well. Small flies around our table , I presume from all the plants but they bother when eating. The servise was quite bad as we didn’t get the fries to lamb and no one was around for us to let them know , only after we finished eating we told them and no apology given. Then we got desserts and they forgot the spoons , again no waiter around for 7/10 min.

12/08/2026: I'd like to commend the lady staff at the counter during the evening of August 9. She assisted us in retrieving our online takeaway order as we did not receive any confirmation email that would have included our order number yet we were charged accordingly. Glad for the help as it would have been a disastrous night for my kids if they didn't get their fried chicken fix for the weekend. 😅

03/08/2026: I regularly order a large meal at the drive-through, but most of the time I'm given what looks like a small portion of fries instead of a large one. It's happened often enough that it feels like a recurring issue. I'm not sure if the staff aren't properly trained or if it's being done intentionally, but it's disappointing to pay for a large meal and not receive the correct portion. I hope management looks into this and ensures customers get what they pay for

13/05/2026: Whole place smells like public toilets... Beef and chicken burgers burned - beef looks crispy but fried until chevy, chicken dry. Servers arent taking orders (online ordering from the menu qr code shows closed - opening next day).

01/05/2026: I really don't understand how many good reviews this restaurant has. Either people don't know what good food is, or the two times I went I was VERY unlucky. The first time the burger was okay, nothing special at all, just a regular burger. But I still wanted to give it a second chance, and it was worse because I found a hair stuck to the meat. I told the waitress what happened, obviously she didn't charge me for the burger, but it's impossible to go back or recommend this place. The staff are attentive and the atmosphere is pleasant.

17/07/2026: Grabbed a take away as I was passing through here recently. Food was really good. Id recommend stopping here for grub

24/06/2026: Can the older gentleman please cook the chips for longer. Chips should be a little crispy at least not pale and barely cooked.

10/11/2025: Absolutely disgusting and rude. My god. 2 samosas for 4.5 euros. Got in the guy did not come to me for a few mins even though I was the ONLY ONE THERE. takes my order and asks me to come back even though I the whole restaurant was empty. I left because I wanted to see what he does. I Come back after 15 mins. He hands me a bag and gives me a warm coke. When I ask for a cold one. He laughed and said he doesnt have any. Can you imagine. Rock hard burger bun. Dirty tasting samosas. 0 star. Hope that guys sees this. My god Shameful

11/01/2026: Zero staff/customer interaction, maybe staff warned not to smile, food is average to good, owner rude and arrogant when confronted with complaint, would do well to drop into chemist next door and get some happy pills for himself and gloomy staff. NB Namesake in Rathcoole is complete opposite.

23/07/2026: Delicious food. Must try. I never expected this quality i can eat in clane. Saag-paneer, chapati roti, Rice, Biriyani. Must try. Good enough quantity Full plate of love and quality of food from owner and manager.

01/07/2026: Great Restaurant in Clane,it's the best Biryani I've had for a long time, service excellent and very attentive to us.very reasonably priced.

06/07/2026: I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The food they served tasted like it was two weeks old, frozen, and just reheated before being brought to our table. To make matters worse, the rice was clearly a couple of days old and had a terrible, spoiled smell. It is completely unacceptable and a major health hazard to serve such food, and yet they had the audacity to charge us full price for this garbage. Save your money and health—avoid this place at all costs!

16/07/2026: Very poor quality food in particular the steak sandwich. The meat was stringy and tough.

15/06/2026: Had such a poor experience here last Friday night. Prawn cocktail Starter came and was inedible due to spice. It was three tiny prawns on chopped iceberg lettuce for 16€- we sent them back as could not eat. Was then told they made a mistake and sauce was too spicy and then served us replacement ones that were awful too but told they would charge for them. The main course was terrible- bland fish and chips with zero flavour and dried up chips we couldn’t even eat for 26€. We had to ask for cutlery and twice and then had to wait ten mins for it. Awful from start to finish and when we went to pay the starters were still on the bill and I had to request for them to be taken off. So disappointing as brought a friend for a celebration meal. Ewe used to love fallons but will not be back.

20/06/2026: I celebrated a birthday party for my boys in Eddie Rockets Naas And the staff, especially the manager, Paulo were very helpful in this event. So with 18 boys had enough food and drinks also you can bring your own cake. They had a ball! Thank you Eddie Rocket

30/05/2026: I visited the restaurant when it wasn’t very busy. The food came out fairly quickly and was really good—nice, generous portions and everything tasted fresh. You can tell a lot of care goes into the cooking, everything was well prepared and full of flavor. Overall a solid experience, I’d happily go back.
