The best restaurants in Kildare

06/04/2025: Extremely slow service despite the restaurant being practically empty. Took over an hour for the first of the main courses to arrive. Did was ok but not too the standard it used to be at. Will not be returning.

25/03/2025: The atmosphere was amazing. The owner was very nice and the service he provided was superb! We had the veg muncharian and aloo tiki for starters, highly recommend! The lamb rogan josh, lamb nihari and butter chicken were one of the best I have tasted.

06/04/2025: Amazing smoothies made with care and love and very kind interactive staff! Maynooth Jump Juice above any other juice bar!! EDIT : The recent days I have came in it’s only been one person, i was shocked to hear that there are only 2 PEOPLE WORKING!! These queues are NOT manageable for one person I have heard complaints within the queues about how there should be more staff! Absolutely beautiful smoothies and kindest girls but this needs to be sorted out ASAP!

06/04/2025: the overall service is great and have lovley workers but i come every couple days and get my order relitavley fast. in recent times ive come on sundays and the qeues are abnauctios leading down past the ice cream shop having only 2 people to handle such lines isnt fair. I advise to hire more people or have more staff on sundays in particular to the weather as many people will be coming in.

23/04/2025: We have been having fish n chips here for years. Once a week we sit down in the restaurant. Sadly we will not be returning. We complained about the chips which were hard and not edible. The girl on the till said it was the potatoes, no offer of a refund, we left behind to full plates. We were charged 23.80 for something we could not eat. Very bad customer service to a customer of 15 years. The table beside us also complained as they could not eat the chips, hard and raw in the middle. If they are blaming it on the potatoes then they should not serve up sub standard food full stop.

17/04/2025: Cleanliness is out standing here 5 stars all way,staff are very friendly & efficient & food is on point says it all when always so busy a good sign amazing from start 2 finish .

15/02/2025: This is our go-to takeaway and the food is always amazing. Tonight they were very busy, which is a great sign in my opinion. Even though they were busy staff went out of their way to be nice - the owner helped me carry my order out to the car in the rain! Cannot recommend enough.

08/12/2024: pizza was disgusting cold and chicken on pizza was not fresh it was auwfull and smelly we left bin thr pizza and drove home empty stomach

27/11/2024: Myself & my partner decided to visit this restaurant after not being there for quite some time. We were looking forward to it as food was always amazing & staff were lovely. How disappointed could we have been!!!When we went to order we asked the waitress did they still do the "lovely coleslaw" & she told us "no, the chef thinks it's too time consuming to make it" We should have left then!!!! We decided on the wings to share, which were clearly clearly taken out of the microwave & a small bit of hot sauce put over them. The main course consisted of my partner having greasy, heavily battered cod with frozen chips & I having the the part boiled pasta, tossed with boiled chicken & what seemed like a tin of condensed mushroom soup. No taste & absolutely zero effort put into each dish. The so-called "chef" should be ashamed of himself presenting food like this to paying customers. When we complained, the waitress (who to be fair was a lovely lady) understood & didn't charge for the pasta dish. Such a disappointing experience & as locals to the area, we won't be back.

06/05/2025: Food not great atall....chicken greasy, chips too overseasoned with some sort of spice. KFC gas gone down in quality in general.

17/04/2025: Shocking 7.50 for a wrap that had two small pieces of chicken. I think we should boycott all these greedy greedy businesses. Stop going and giving them our hard earned money to be absolutely ripped out for our greed and profit. Shame of Irish business owners ripping off Irish people! They have no shame whatsoever...

01/03/2025: It's a long time since I had an apache and it will be a very long time before I have one again pizza was muck. Looked like was after been picked up off a floor and thrown in the box.

20/05/2025: Nice spot, relaxed atmosphere and good service. Enjoyed dinner here recently, was delicious. Tasty chicken wings to start and a well cooked fish main. Wine is "on tap" so they are docked a mark for that. When the "bottle" arrived it wasn't quite cold enough. Overall, a nice spot for a few drinks and food though. Will return.

08/03/2025: Lovely setting both for cocktails and dinner. Cocktails- are only ok in the restaurant - didn’t try the cocktails in the bar. Food wise - starters- chowder was very watery, soup was only ok. The accompanying bread was dry. Mains - burger was good, pork from specials menu was presented well and was meant to be slow cooked but was absolutely dry. And cutlery - it’s the worst/cheapest cutlery Overall - great setting - everything else disappointing.

26/04/2025: Our go-to Chinese and possibly the only sit-down Chinese in Clane. Food is really good and always presented really well. Service is top-notch, staff are always friendly and helpful. Pricing is a little steep but still alright.

26/03/2025: Ni hao 👋 Great food and service from Ken and Alex in this tasty Chinese. Book a table for a great night or take away and you won't regret it.

23/10/2024: Was there on Sunday midday so not so many customers. It was my first visit in Goban... Place is amazing... Friendly, warm and with outdoor option. The only one complaint was a friend of mine... I spent more time watching sport tv then talking about all around things... Good for me , he was on the phone with his girlfriend and I enjoyed the place. One more thing: Guinness from the tap.... just wish to be 🔙. All the best.

17/05/2025: My partner just picked up two vanilla cream slices for €7 Completely stale, not slightly off, inedible. Not recommended.
