03/04/2025: Discovered by chance when looking for lorry parking. Had both breakfast and dinner on the way to and from Shannon. Fantastic food and such a warm welcome from all the staff.

13/03/2025: I eat very regularly at Rios. My favourite take away in the town. Staff are very friendly and love to have the catch up. The food and service is always great with ingredients always being fresh. They're always constantly upgrading the takeaway too. There's a great seating area which feels like home if you want a date with a loved one or a chat with Friends. Believe it or not they also have coffee and bars of chocolate which is very unique for the takeaways in the town! Would absolutely recommend.

Very tasty and fresh ingredients used, lovely and friendly staff.

10/02/2025: I just arrived back to Ireland having lived abroad for many years & honestly I havenโt found a restaurant so wonderful & consistent as Brew. From the moment I go into it, I feel at home, from the owner, Tom, the friendly efficient staff & the delicious menu, tastefully presented, would keep one returning. I recommend BREW , I guarantee you will never be disappointed !

20/03/2025: We had a delicious meal in Croft Alley, a marinara pizza and al amatriciana, both served piping hot. The waitress was very attentive. Highly recommend if you are in Portlaoise!
22/02/2025: A group of Mothers from a toddler group meeting up had to cancel due to illness and the Restaurant charged 10 euro per person for cancellation, on a Saturday night when they will easily fill the table. An absolute disgrace and a very rude Manager, will never set foot in this restaurant again and will be spreading the word to friends and family to avoid!!!!! So upsetting and disappointing to be treated so poorly by a local business!

19/02/2025: Cheese and Ham Toastie was lovely. As already noted by other reviewers - there is practically nothing on the menu for small children. A slice of toast was 2 euro, and burnt. Luckily I had brought a packed lunch just in case. With a focus on fresh produce, it would be nice to see some fruit being offered to kids with option of 'normal' white sliced bread or a freshly baked roll, rather than sourdough.
