06/05/2025: I’ve been to Christy’s a few times and really like the atmosphere—especially after the recent updates. But still finding its foot with the food. The indoor seating is much more comfortable now, and the beer garden looks lovely. It’s a great spot to bring friends or the kids. That said, as someone who really appreciates good food, I feel the kitchen still needs some refinement. The nachos questionable quality tortillas, and the mince and red sauce just didn’t taste good. The bruschetta also strayed too far from the classic—green peppers and onions didn’t quite deliver. I say this with kindness: the place has real potential, and I hope the food soon matches the great setting.

27/04/2025: Large modern bar with a entrance from road and from the river. Just called in for couple drinks sitting at bar finished first after waiting 15 minutes trying to get another drink from one of the 7 staff just to be told to wait from one staff and another said they had an order and we where to wait still nothing so walk out. Only around 14 people in around the bar area.

05/03/2025: Breakfast was very disappointing. Bacon was burnt, toast burnt and eggs overcooked. Won’t be back.

03/06/2025: Beautiful place, spectacular environs without matching food quality. The price was very high with oddly configured fixed and a la carte menus. The only experience matching the setting was the waiter, Pedro. He was a highlight, kind, thoughtful with great recommendations and fun.

01/06/2025: Myself and my girlfriend stayed in powerscourt for our anniversary and decided to dine at Sika. The current star rating does not reflect at all what we experienced. Delicious food, great service and a lovely atmosphere all in all. We went for the 2 course which was plenty big as they brought out extra canapes etc… on the house which was a nice touch. Overall we had a great experience and was skeptical after seeing some reviews on here but we were delighted we went. Split pea veloute was unreal!! Also the duck was fantastic. 5/5

06/12/2024: Just purchased a breakfast roll and a tea in Maxol in Wicklow town, €7 far to expensive, I won't be back.

19/04/2025: Food is delicious. Place is very nice but you need to use toilets outside on the courtyard. Service is unprofessional, no please and thank you to be heard, and relatively slow. The fire alarm went off when we were there and it they simply avoided the eye contact at all cost when it was roaring, no explanation regarding if we should leave the premises etc. clearly they get zero training.

06/04/2025: Went here for a family meal. There were 10 of us and 3 kids. The restaurant itself was quite nice. However it took literally 3 hours to the minute to serve us 3 courses. We arrived at 1pm and left at 16:20. The food was well presented but was terribly overpriced. The starter was salmon which was quite nice. Unfortunately the fish main course was super salty. The cheese platter was not a cheese platter. It was simply some cheddar cheese. They put bread on the table and charged us 6.50. The waitresses were generally inexperienced. One of the waitresses came over with a bundle of spoons and left them at the end of our massive table to distribute ourselves for the dessert. My wife and I paid 110 euros and I only had water (she had one glass of wine). We feel that we paid a premium price for an experience which could not be considered premium. It's a shame as the restaurant is really cool.

11/05/2025: Nice Costa shop. The extra hot cappuccino was not that and the cup was not really full. Otherwise all good. Not a very busy shop on Sunday afternoon so nice to sit in. The team seem happy which is always a pleasure to see.

28/05/2025: I got a take out tonight the food wasn't good stringy chicken and mostly batter in spice bag hot and sour soup was not right looks like the used sweet and sour sauce instead very disappointed 😑

05/05/2025: I’ve been a regular at Jasmine House since I was a child, and it never disappoints both for takeaway and eat in.
