The best restaurants in Wicklow

16/05/2025: Myself & my son played Baltinglass GC on May 15th. We would highly recommend this course. Firstly had a very friendly welcome from the lady receptionist . We then commenced play. The course is hilly by nature so a buggy is probably a good option although we decided to walk. Fairways are lush and green with lots of wooded areas. The greens are beautiful and true but not as fast as they appear. The Green keepers & grounds men are doing a great job. We really couldn’t fault the course and will definitely play here again . Highly recommended

15/07/2025: A large hotel and a large room with direct access to the parking lot. We parked right in front of the room and had no problems carrying our luggage. The room was quiet and peaceful, as was the surrounding area.

15/07/2025: My tour group and I were accommodated well. The breakfast was great, the rooms were clean, and we had four seperate beds in our room. They did forget to supply us with handsoap, but when we asked they delivered. They even filled up our water bottles for us during breakfast.

17/07/2025: A great Indian restaurant on Blessington main street, county Wicklow.

10/07/2025: €15.99 for a sage curry plus a separate charge of €3.70 to include pulao rice is borderline taking the piss. I like this restaurant, but the recent price increase I find insulting.

11/07/2025: Nice little place to stop and get lunch. Had a sandwich and soup both were really good. Was also a nice chill place to sit and eat at.

08/07/2025: The pastries looked very exquisite. I bought English muffins and protein balls.

15/03/2025: Found a lovely Coffee shop Cafe cannot recommend highly enough food excellent the owner was very helpful when we was asking about ireland Coffee in big generous cups give it a try you will love it. Philip Sullivan 1 very happy customer.

30/06/2025: Disappointing to be honest. The service was ok however napkins and cutlery was missing. A little slow with drinks but waitress was mannerly which always goes along way and is appreciated in this day and age. However the food was awful. Far too pretentious and largely in-edible. Very limited menu while the menu online also differed from that in person. While the atmosphere and decor is wonderful, the table separators and sharing of tables left the dining experience,in general, a lot to be desired. Such a pity as we loved Kilruddery and the staff are very nice as it the grounds.

21/06/2025: Arrived at 4 on a Saturday (Google maps said they're open till 4:30), was told by the girl at the entrance they're only doing takeaway which was fine by us. When arriving at the till the barista told us they're not doing coffee anymore. I pointed out that according to Google maps they're open till 4:30, she said that's not correct and that nobody manages their listing anyways. No apology, no "thanks, I'll pass it on", just an annoyed "I don't care attitude". Won't be coming back for sure.

08/06/2025: The food here is absolutely amazing! Never had a bad meal! The water glasses are very rarely ever clean though which is a shame

19/07/2025: I’m posting this review for one Reason, for a staff member who I didn’t catch the name off. An older gentleman who I asked to get a prize for my 10 year old Nephew. My Nephew has ADHd and Sensory issues. Without me saying anything this man, gave my nephew all the time in the world, allowed him to test out different prizes for there feel, touch. In minutes my Nephew was telling him his story. His Kindness was everything. My Nephew didn’t stop talking about it for rest of the day. He made our day trip to Bray. Thank you Sir.

22/06/2025: I had a disappointing and uncomfortable experience at Peter & Monica’s Takeaway / Restaurant on June 22nd, 2025, around 4:00 PM. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a man in chef attire (who appears to be one of the owners, as I later recognized him from the restaurant’s official Facebook photos). I was asked if I was alone, and when I said yes, he told me I couldn’t sit inside because “no tables were available” – even though there were multiple empty tables clearly visible. Instead of seating me at one of those, he pulled a table and chairs out from inside and arranged them on the sidewalk, as if to deliberately separate me from other guests. He also asked me where I was from and whether I ate pork – personal and irrelevant questions that made me feel profiled. I told him I was from the Middle East and only eat chicken. He chose a dish for me as that’s the only options they had available from the menu . While waiting, a small basket of bread was placed on my table. I ate two pieces. A few minutes later, another staff member walked over and silently took the bread basket away, without explanation. It felt demeaning. I calmly asked about the situation. The same man returned with the chicken dish. I told him I no longer wished to eat and preferred to pay and leave. I explained that I came to respectfully order and pay, not to be treated as if I was receiving charity or unworthy of basic hospitality. He then offered to give the meal as takeaway and said I didn’t need to pay. I refused, as I believe it’s wrong to accept food from a place where the service felt discriminatory and dismissive. As someone working in Dublin and interacting frequently with local businesses, this experience was disappointing and out of place in a country as welcoming as Ireland. I hope the restaurant reflects seriously on how it treats guests from diverse backgrounds.

28/05/2025: Best sushi burritos. Love the spicy salmon one.

18/05/2025: Nice little fast-food like sushi restaurant with fresh and tasty products. The sushi burrito is a fun twist over regular sushi. The staff were very nice. I can highly recommend if you crave quick sushi and don't want to break the bank.

06/07/2025: Great pub atmosphere, excellent food (especially the seafood platter, with their homemade gravlax,pickled herring, crab, etc.) and friendly generous host

06/07/2025: Went to eat here as they offered a seafood platter. Well there were different seafood but one prawn an inch of herring an inch of mackerel a couple of shrimps a tiny piece of cooked salmon and some Smoked salmon do not justify the nearly €30 price tag. There was more lettuce than fish. Very disappointed
