The best restaurants in Wicklow

02/04/2025: A bit crowded but the service was quick and we were able to find a seat. The soup and hot sandwich was a great deal, I shared with my son. Both were warm and delicious on a cold day. There were a lot of things I would liked to have tried on their menu!

20/03/2025: Definitely overpriced. €16.70 for a very measely breakfast and a below average cappuccino. Also having tip options on the card machine is frustrating for customers.

30/03/2025: Dinning only, excellent food, great service and fun atmosphere. We ate several times during our stay at Powerscourt Hotel. Just down the street in main village.

30/03/2025: Had lunch here, v nice but dessert was 9.95eu for a meringue nest filled with cream & berries (nicest part of it). For 9.95eu I would expect homemade meringue not a meringue nest you can buy in supermarket, 5 for 1.49eu. Totally overpriced.

26/02/2025: Amazing pizzas - by far the best we’ve tasted in a long time. We tried the Marinara & the Pepperoni and both were delicious as were the dips. The garlic bread garnished with a touch of rosemary is to die for. Service was very fast and the upstairs seating area was fabulous & warm on a cold wet evening. Great fun place to try. Will be back.

15/11/2024: Pretty quiet and friendly staff. Latte with oat milk was a little on the pricey side (€5.20), but worth it. Options available for those who have celiac or are anaphylactic to wheat and/or gluten are a little lacking, as is common with Costa.

28/02/2025: Great staff reasonably priced. It's very hard to gauge fried food . We got boneless wings and chips. We got BBQ chicken and chilli chicken. BBQ is very tasty, but don't think I go for the chilli again.

31/01/2025: Stayed at the hotel and had a wonderful meal in the Sika. The food was delicious and our thanks to Eva for her excellent recommendations.

07/01/2025: We stayed in the hotel and had dinner here. Food was good but there are some points to improve. After sitting us the hostess mentioned that for dinner there was a five course meal menu served, but when opening the menu we discovered that there was a 2 course meal option as well that was never mentioned. This was a more suitable option since we were stuffed from earlier lunch in Sally Gap. Also after checking the menu we realised that there were no vegetarian options. We had to request the vegetarian menu to the waiter that there were never mentioned before. Moreover, menu options could be broader. Our waiter was very friendly and efficient but there was a slight delay in our mains and nobody approached us. It was an ok experience but it didn’t meet our expectations for a five star’s restaurant hotel.

05/03/2025: Breakfast was very disappointing. Bacon was burnt, toast burnt and eggs overcooked. Won’t be back.

24/02/2025: I won't talk about the restaurant aspect because I haven't tasted the dishes served so I don't know. But we came to drink hot chocolate and cappuccino for a snack, and we took the opportunity to have a little cake. Don't make this mistake! The tiny slice of pie was €4.50, we were shocked at how small it was, plus they defrosted it in the microwave. As for the reception, it can be okay but we couldn't sit on the sea view side because that was reserved for large groups (there was no one seated when we were there). If you can avoid it (at least for the snack), do so.

18/03/2025: A great stop off for coffee and food. Pastries, buns, cake, Croque monsieur and veg options are all delicious and VERY good value. Served by very friendly staff who always have a welcome and chat. my new favourite.

02/03/2025: Had a beautiful meal, excellent service from our waitress and the owner/chef. Pasta was cooked perfectly and the desert, a Tiramisu was the best I have had in Ireland. Would highly recommend

31/12/2024: The owner gave a personal warm welcome. Very authentic and personable. Staff was lovely and attentive. Not to mention the food which was excellent! We had linguini with shrimps and salmon. Our dinner was one of the best we had during our trip.
