The best restaurants in Wicklow

16/06/2025: Nice atmosphere, but the noodles were too heavy for my stomach and bowels. Maybe I chose the wrong dish.

03/06/2025: Myself and my partner stopped here for dinner, the staff there were so kind and attentive we really appreciated their effort to make us feel welcome. Food is absolutely delicious and the portions and great, we ordered the chicken and cheese rolls, Pad Thai and Satay Duck - all superb quality and cooked to perfection! We don't live in Wicklow but if we visit the town again, we'll definitely come back to eat here

04/07/2025: Had fish and chips, asked for chips crispy and everything came out perfect 👌 very nice meal.

02/07/2025: A return visit. Had a lovely time here with a good friend. .The food was delicious as usual but this time there wasn't a big choice on the menu. Informed that was the menu now for a Tuesday. Staff as usual very kind . A great atmosphere. Great parking. Lots of beautiful goods in the shop to choose .

10/06/2025: I don't usually eat salads but they are fantastic here. Soup was gorgeous too. It's my fav spot to go when anywhere near the area.

15/02/2025: I cannot express how disappointed I am with my experience at Elephant and Castle. What was supposed to be a romantic Valentine's Day dinner turned into an absolute nightmare. From the moment we walked in, the staff greeted us with hostility, setting the tone for the rest of the evening. When I mentioned I wasn’t sure what to order yet, the server rolled their eyes at me—an incredibly rude and unprofessional gesture. They then barked, “What ye want?” in a tone that made me feel like an inconvenience rather than a guest. This was not the warm, welcoming atmosphere I expected, especially on a special occasion like Valentine’s Day. The service only got worse from there. We were completely ignored throughout our meal, making it impossible to order more drinks or even get the attention of the staff when we needed something. To make matters worse, I witnessed something utterly appalling: a staff member took drinks off a table after the customers said they weren’t the right ones, and then proceeded to serve those same drinks to another table. I was horrified to see the couple at that table take a sip, completely unaware of what had just happened. This level of unhygienic and unethical behavior is unacceptable. This rudeness was experienced by many as I spoke to fellow guests who also complained and felt the same way The entire experience was embarrassing and frustrating. I would never recommend Elephant and Castle to anyone, especially not for a special occasion. Save yourself the disappointment and dine elsewhere. This place is a complete letdown

12/07/2025: A fabulous mixed tandoori platter, watching Gaelic football for the first time. A variety of seating areas -- at the bar, in the lounge, or outside under the sun umbrellas. Fantastic staff, excellent food, a grand experience.

13/06/2025: Dropped into today with my mam, girlfriend and baby. We got the chicken korma, Tikka masala and nan, chilli beef nachos and a baby bowl. We can't fault the staff, location or food it was all top tier. Definitely be back soon.

28/07/2024: Great spot for a shake in Greystones today in the sun. Shake was spot on, nice and friendly service as well despite just one person working and it being a very busy period. Will be back!

20/06/2025: Excellent coffee (from local roaster McCabe's) and super panini/ciabatta. Free newspapers to read (to my knowledge, the only café in Greystones to provide them), and even a decent view if you pick the right seat. And not overpriced. ANNOUNCEMENT (20/06/2025): I’m very glad to say the rude servers mentioned below are long gone and have been replaced by some friendly, helpful staff. So my friend and I have been back and it’s just like old times. We like Spendlove’s and are glad to be back! No longer the case: “However, the friendly welcome I mentioned when I first posted this review is no more. At least one of the young ladies working there is extremely rude.”

15/07/2025: Wouldn't return too expensive for what it was and food was awfull 80 euro for 2 people for what we got and what it was was a disgrace the starter portion for the price was a joke and wasn't nice at all ... my salt and chilli chips was way to much season was un eatable wasn't much for the price .and my partners fish portion again was very small and over all way over priced for the quality and quantity of food would never ever return to here disgrace of a place

14/07/2025: Food is really good. Great choice of beers. Service is terrible. Waiting for a beer on sun over 30min just to find out that a waiter forgot to put order through. After that waiter forgets two times item we ordered. Glass a water took over 15min. After that makes you walk to a bar to pay a bill. The staff needs a serious training.
