28/05/2025: I got a take out tonight the food wasn't good stringy chicken and mostly batter in spice bag hot and sour soup was not right looks like the used sweet and sour sauce instead very disappointed 😑

28/04/2025: It was my first time at this place yesterday. Pretty busy on a Sunday late morning. I would say it must be a popular place with the locals. The staff taking order and serving were nice and friendly. The breaks fast options were nice and varied. I ordered the one with smoked salmon and a brown bread. It was pretty good and the coffee was decent and served hot. Definitely a good place if you are hungry in Greystone.

15/04/2025: No wait good portions has this cool coffee shop / dinner vibe like id the steak sandwich and my partner had the mushroom pasta but we can still get a big slice of lemon merange pie or carrot cake for after

16/04/2025: Great food and an amazing beer selection at Mickey Finns Pub in Wicklow! The prices are very reasonable too – just €5.00 for a pint, which is a nice surprise these days. Every dish we tried was really tasty, so we can definitely recommend the food. The only letdown was the staff – not rude, but not particularly friendly either. However, the biggest downside by far were the toilets. Unfortunately, they were extremely dirty – honestly one of the dirtiest we’ve seen in Ireland so far, which really took away from the overall experience. Would still go back for the food and drinks, but the hygiene situation definitely needs serious improvement.

23/05/2025: Best scone I've had in Ireland. Ask them to warm it up and get some jam and butter. Amazing views from the garden. I would go back just to enjoy the view and have a scone for sure!!

23/05/2025: Simply the best Avoca café I’ve been to. Food was delicious and the place is incredibly beautiful. Staff was super nice and gentle. Definitely going back. Highly recommend the experience if going to visit Powerscourt Garden.

06/05/2025: An expensive supermarket in my opinion, the prices are clearly higher than in other supermarkets, but there is always everything you need. I would like to pay special attention to fruits and vegetables. They are always fresh and the quality is top notch. I always bought them there and was satisfied. But in general, all the products are tasty, with the exception of semi-finished products, I don’t recommend buying them...

05/11/2024: I have had breakfast and lunch here and I have also had catered food of theirs for an event. All has been absolutely delicious! Customer service from the owners and staff is outstanding. I would highly recommend.

11/05/2025: We visited Opera for the first time for brunch on Saturday and were very impressed. Great food, well made coffee and delicious sourdough bread to take home :) Thank you. We will be back.

29/04/2025: Great coffee and huge selection of cakes. They also have gluten bakes, which is a real bonus. They have a great selection of Italian products and desserts to purchase. We're lucky to have a wonderful cafe like Opera in Wicklow Town.

26/03/2025: Nice cafe but toilets are always dirty. Toilets need proper cleaning. Sometimes staff aren't busy and just chat instead of cleaning place.

12/04/2025: F n ridiculous. I rang for a fresh haddock I discussed with them was a fresh and I said okay give me a fresh haddock and chips had to wait when I got to the shop after Ringd there was a hotdog so clearly hotdog and haddock are the same thing in 2025.

27/04/2025: The royal Park is very expensive for average food I won't be in a hurry back the place is clean and looks the part but in my opinion not worth it

24/05/2025: Lovely walks - lush green fields and woodland and climbs to the Little Sugar Loaf. Freshly grown vegetables from the farm for sale. Coffee and cakes in the barn. A special day in a special place.

29/03/2025: I had a really disappointing experience at this cafe. I ordered a cappuccino and sat down with a friend, and we started eating sandwiches we had brought with us. After a few minutes, a barista with long brown hair marched over and very rudely said, “No no no! You cannot eat your own food in here!” There were no signs stating this rule, and the way she spoke to us was completely unnecessary. We immediately apologised and put the food away, but the attitude was so off-putting that we left. I completely understand that cafes don’t want people eating outside food, but there’s a way to communicate this politely. A simple, “Just so you know, we don’t allow outside food” would have been enough. Instead, we were spoken to like misbehaving children and humiliated in front of everyone there. On top of that, the atmosphere felt more like a community centre than a proper cafe, and everything was served in takeaway cups—even for people dining in. Overall, a really unwelcoming experience, and I won’t be returning.
