The best restaurants in Cork city council

01/12/2025: A pub with a great atmosphere and good service; it's fast if you're expecting it, i.e., on weekends. On Thursdays it's a bit slower, but still great.

11/11/2025: Very accommodating and great to deal with for my stag party, great staff, pints of great quality including Murphys of the highest calibre and great location overlooking the city in St Lukes

23/11/2025: Excellent food and the best traditional Chinese dishes in Cork. The environment is lovely and very comfortable, but the customer service could be much better. Hoping to see improvements because the food and setting are great.

23/12/2025: You cannot beat the Fran Well . Always the best vibe and the nicest staff - blessed to have this place in Cork it didn’t get much better. Absolutely love the beer garden, possibly the in the country (warm and cosy all year round) and one of the best pizzas too.

21/12/2025: One of the best bars in Cork City. Such a good vibe both downstairs and upstairs (cocktail bar!!!!!). The pizza here is also pretty nice! So many craft beers!!

07/11/2025: Situated in the center on the corner of North Main Street this bar is a nice upmarket establishment with a cosy atmosphere. The staff were friendly, the drinks cold and the toilets spotless.

05/11/2025: Great service, very attentive. The double fried fries were great, however the smaller ones were hard to chew. Ribs spot on. Can be a bit dark in certain areas

03/01/2026: WOW WOW WOW Had a lovely visit to Dwyers of cork for a lovely brunch I had the birdie basket it was scrumptious. I usually dont praise individual staff members at bar and restaurant establishments but one gentleman named conor was a absolute delight I came with my 80 year old granny and also pointed out his generosity and respect lovely young fella. Dacent poor on the fella also #splittheG

28/12/2025: The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, the drinks are good quality, and it’s a perfect place to unwind with friends. A unique pub with character — definitely worth a visit. 🍻

03/01/2026: The food itself is fine, but the behaviour of the owner/boss was extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable. She openly spoke negatively about members of her staff to other employees, criticising them behind their backs. What made this worse was hearing her place blame on staff despite an obvious lack of proper training, which ultimately reflects poor management. This behavior reflects badly on the business as a whole and is very off putting to hear as a customer. Good food doesn’t make up for poor management and disrespectful treatment of staff. I hope the owner reflects on this, as professionalism and basic respect for employees are essential.

16/12/2025: Golden Elephant in Douglas is a fantastic spot for authentic Thai food with a simple, flavourful menu. The Tom Yum soup is outstanding and full of bold taste. The spicy peppercorn wok fry and ginger tofu & veg stir-fry are absolutely delicious. Udon noodles were perfectly cooked and very satisfying. The food is worth every penny.

16/01/2026: The restaurant is in the center but a bit outdated. We noticed the dirt and the slow and disorganized service. The food is definitely not Italian, of poor quality. The owners are rude and busy on the phone. I do not recommend the restaurant and will never return. It's terrible.

30/07/2025: A great experience. The beer garden at the back of the PB is very relaxing; it's a covered, cemented courtyard. If you want to chat, you have to stay at the counter. We enjoyed it. I highly recommend it.

26/07/2025: When you can go to a local pub and have a Beamish, Murphy’s and Guinness life is great. Don’t eat (don’t try really) and just wanted to sit with a pint and talk. Everyone was super friendly…I accidentally dropped a 10 Euro and the good folks at the table next to us pointed it out.
