03/11/2024: I had the signature pie and it was fabulous. It was value for money and real quality food. I also had the apreol spritz that was lovely and refreshing. The atmosphere was nice and friendly. Will definitely be coming back here.

10/11/2024: I have had Butler's mocha in Dublin, Belfast, Galway and here in Cork city. They have been deliciously creamy and so chocolatey I have been loving them. Until here in Cork city. Not sure what in the hell they did differently here but there was no chocolate flavor. It tasted like an Americano even though when presented with the drink the barista said here is your mocha. The past cities mochas had a layer of chocolate on the bottom of the cup that, when swirled, made the last sip extra delicious. Cork's didn't have any signs of their delicious, signature, namesake. What a let down!

21/08/2024: Of all the pubs I've been to in Cork, this one was the most atmospheric, authentic and Irish. Great service, very polite. Completely out of the way, away from the center, but the atmosphere of the "locals" is great.

30/10/2024: Staff were super friendly and food was beautiful. Really big portions also. Highly recommend this place, It was very busy when we arrived and we had a booking as there was 14 of us. Probably best to make a reservation.

28/10/2024: We went for dinner yesterday, and although it wasn't our first time at this restaurant, it was the first time we were negatively surprised. Such a beautiful place, with delicious food and above-average prices, naturally leads to the expectation of top-notch service. We ordered a bottle of wine, and the staff member simply placed it on the table and walked away without opening or serving it. I’ve never had to open a bottle and serve myself in any restaurant. Another point to mention: as we were almost finishing our meal, eating, talking, and taking pauses (placing the cutlery in the break position, which indicates we were still eating), a staff member asked if they could clear the plates. This was a bit surprising, as the cutlery clearly indicated otherwise. Overall, the experience was great, but I’d suggest that for a restaurant with such a strong reputation, it would be beneficial to invest a bit more in staff training. Additionally, when the bill is requested, it would be more convenient to bring the card machine to the table, making the experience even smoother. But the food is absolutely delicious and we strongly recommend the Feather blade.

28/10/2024: I didn’t eat here so can’t rate the food but was here for jazz weekend and love this place. Great bands, awesome staff, great selection of drinks, and being located just a few minutes walk from the centre it wasn’t as packed so you had room to dance and chat. Thanks so much to Mike and the bar team!

20/10/2024: Great Pub. Aged decor and style is the first thing that impresses you. Extensive range of local craft and IPA beers and ascending range of spirits. Even when busy it’s not that noisy so comfortable to meet with friends. Recommended !

24/10/2024: Great place to stop for a simple, light and inexpensive lunch. Tasty sandwiches, very good coffee, nice atmosphere and excellent value. Highly recommend.

10/11/2024: We had s lovely breakfast . I was with a group of 5 people. The food was lovely . My poached egg was perfect and runny . Like they are supposed to be. It was comforting and there was no rush. Very good value for money . I had been there before for later food . I did find a bit more expensive than I thought it would be. Considering the time etc. but I will return for sure.

01/11/2024: We booked a table from 4.15pm to 6pm on Saturday of the Cork Jazz Festival 2024. The place was very busy. We ordered the charcuterie board, a burger and soup for out 4 year old son. The charcuterie board came out at 5pm with a small amount of meat, some olives, chutney and 4 small pieces of bread. No cheese. It was disgraceful. The burger came out at 5.30pm and the soup (for my 4 year old) came out at 5.45pm (an hour and a half after we sat down). If they cannot cope with the crowds during busy weekends, then reduce the menu. Service was so slow. We will not be returning anytime soon.

21/09/2024: Great selection of craft beers, and even the odd micro. Very chill atmosphere. Opens a bit on the later side, would happily be there from midday! They don't serve food, but you can pick up something up from one of the places nearby to eat there. No cutlery though so bring you're own but that's a small price to pay.
